thank you for this. I'm so ready for a GPU to come out that I can justify an upgrade for but so far it's just disappointment after disappointment at their prices. They underestimate how willing I am to deal with my trusty 1070 still. If it can still run Ghost of Tsushima at 30-35 fps, I'm still in good hands with ol' faithful here 😌 *edit: for perspective, When the 1070 came I upgraded from a 770 and got a 134% performance increase for $379 Now to go from the 1070 to the 4070 it would be a 138% performance increase for $549. .....Laughable. That said, the 4070 Super would be 169% increase for $585. That's a bit better but still laughable. I'll wait. Eventually I'll be able to spend $400 for 135% increase in performance....one day
Same. I really really want to upgrade but pricing is ridiculous. I only have a 1080p monitor, I don’t care about capping to a lower FPS and I have bad eyes so all the visual mess people complain about when pixel hunting during upscale stuff like FSR doesn’t bother me. Plus Nixxes are just great at their job.
It’s an AI option where it generates the next frame through interpretation. I also think there’s an option where it internally descales the resolution then exports it as the higher one but faked or what not.
I DID actually. At first it was fine but after 2hrs? And trying the online mode my game crashes twice. And I get a video card error. I suspect it’s because the 1070 while compatible isn’t meant to be running FSR and lol those features? Yesterday I crashed once with it on after like 4 hours though. Finally turned it off, capped my game at 30fps(I don’t really notice framerate after a few minutes. Bad eyes) and no crashes. I’ll see if I still get crashes today after a bit with it on.
Ok played all day yesterday with FSR and no crashes! So it seems very choosy when it wants to crash I guess. Hopefully we get a small patch to fix that issue for people
@@Calypso694 ah nice! I was thinking of getting the game but I was wondering how the performance would be on my 1070. looks like it's very playable, thanks for the video!
Thanks for this, my 1070 can still live!
next time put the resolution as overlay

@@Calypso694 what are nixxes?
for some reason only Pascal gpus have problem with this game
holy shit did the upscale option bumb it to 70 fps? what did that even do

Why your gpu is not fully used
@@mahdicyber mine gtx 1070 is too not fully usage, i think it's about nvidia driver. bc they have got a lot of bugs
@@mahdicyber i have got same in Helldivers, 50-70% usage and 40 fps on LOW settings
@@Кирилл-ь4л7с Same for my 1070, keeps hovering between 75-80% with 5800x3d, so definetly not a bottleneck. have to be a driver issue as you said.
Why isnt ur gpu at full usage
they say FSR3 causes game to keep crashing after like a hour of gameplay.
Did you have this problem?

that gpu never reaches 95% something is bottlenecking or maybe driver issue.
Mine stays at 70% with a ryzen 7 5700g this processor should be more than enough to not bottleneck this gpu
Drivers were fully updated. It was only that section. Once I got to the stealth stuff and the fake boss fight to open world it hits 99.
@@deidara3021 mine always stay @100% with 12400F
@@irwansutanto5202 lol, then your PC became garbage. I have the same CPU and I can see average %30 CPU usage in Ghost of Tsushima..
i thought i was the only one. i have gtx 1070 and it seems its not well optimized for our cards. coz even at very low settings it wont lock to 60fps
The min requirement is a 970 for 30fps at 720p. Of course it’s not going to lock at 60.
did u update nvidia driver ?
Yes
how bad is the input lag with frame generation on?
none at all on my end. Using the PS5 controller

@@sturmpanzeriv7431 yeah if you don’t care about FPS capping it at 30 on high is fine and even the FSR stuff is great and looks good still.
