- In this action packed vlog I visit Walygator Parc in France for the first time! The park opened in 1989 and has undergone various ownership changes since it originally opened. In this vlog I share on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park including the 4 different roller coasters on offer. Monster is the parks stand out ride and this B&M Inverted Roller Coaster was relocated to the park in 2010. This was also a very special ride for me to get on this trip and in this vlog I reveal exactly why!
Along with plenty of ride footage I share my full thoughts on the park along with checking out a very different style scare attraction! Plus I capture the atmosphere of the park, check out the new additions for 2019 and much more!

Love your videos bro. I stumbled across the channel after getting back into RCT2 recently, and have been binge watching your content since. I appreciate the fact you try to remain positive about all the parks and rides, to encourage people to check them out for themselves. The Monster, definitely one of the best B&M Inverts in the world, the sheer intensity felt on this ride is incredible, you can even hear it in the video. Only thing it lacks is themeing.

Comet Space (the Vekoma) use to be my first ever ride with inversions...now I did 300 coasters in Europe. Love to see this park again through your eye's and to see that the Vekoma is still as smooth as ever.
These are my favorite roller coaster videos. Just seeing a happy guy having a chill time riding roller coasters that terrify me. Makes them feel less scary!

The view from the pirate ship at 54 min looks so similar to the view you get at Blackpool pleasure beach between the old space invader building and the rollercoaster!!

i went there in 2017 and jeeeez that was intense! i had a blackout on the last helix and a friend of mine's nose was bleeding because of the intensity of that. Such a fun park and i hope they will have a nice future!

Shawn you seem to be maturing vlog by vlog, it's such a better viewing experience, if I could say when you do your USA trip, could you please try and mention the stats of the ride, I know you mentioned the invites and the other elements, but not the height of the first drop etc, I have commented on other, channels, about this, I don't know why it's not mentioned, I just think, it would be great information for us roller coaster enthusiasts, that don't get the opportunity to ride these awesome coasters, yeah givin you can go and find the stats out for ourselves, but being that you just about to ride the coaster, it would be great to hear the start of the ride, I also think it would add to the excitement of the ride knowing the height and the stats of the rides you are about to ride, really looking forward to the USA trip 👍

A great park with masses of potential, especially with a B&M Invert. You only look at Parc Asterix and where they've gone to now. Great vlog once again 😀
the park is kinda run down, i dont think that have ever had much money for investment, execpt the have an amazing 2nd hand invert.

It is his main job. He makes money through the advertising on his youtube channel. The main reason he is able to visit so many parks, is he uses his vast experience to get cheap deals, buys annual passes, flies Ryan air, and stays in cheap hotels. I went to Gardaland recently for 2 days. The hole trip including flights, accommodation, trains, and 2 day park entry cost £110.
Monster looks awesome, sadly we decor visit Holiday Park in our euro road trip instead, I think Expedition GeForce was calling to me 👌🏻

I know this is a bit late, but if you didn’t already know, the abandoned show building near the pirate ship was something called cirque du Wally or which i think it was a performance. I found it on an old map.
Last summer, I went to this park with my dad. When I saw the Comet, the first thing I thought of was the Python in the Efteling! Makes sense I guess, both rides are from Vekoma. And they both opened in the 80s…
By the way, the mini log flume used to be themed in a smurfs setting. The little house where you go through with the monorail used to be Gargamel's house. After all, this park used to be called 'Big bang Schtroumpf (Smurf in french), after this Walibi Schtroumpf. In some area's, you can still see this.

That invert looks so intense! Also reminds me of placing down a blueprint in rct2 and not theming it.
Walygator is such a weird park. Aspro has only owned the park a couple of years and all the good stuff you mentioned was from previous ownership as they tried to bring it back up to scratch after bankruptcy (original bankruptcy was due to bringing in Monster!), before those owners ended up almost bankrupt themselves. A lot of the buildings you mention are old show venues, only one of about six are in use now.
Unfortunately Aspro have done absolutely nothing good to the park, so it'll end up the same as Oakwood eventually. Imagine it will close eventually, aspro being its last life.
I love the trains on Morgan woodies. They have such an elegant, classic feel and the buzz bars only on the Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in the US allow for some fun airtime!

That children's log flume is an absolute soaker, I went on there with a mate and I have never been more wet on any other ride ever.

The park looks a bit worn down and left behind when I was there last, the wooden coaster could have a bit more airtime, it has anti rollbacks on almost every hill and crawls over them. The Monster is pretty awesome and intense, they even let me stay seated if I want to ride it more. That coaster alone would makes the 1h drive worth if I just feel like riding a coaster during the day
What I like about this park is that there are never lines for the coasters
Walygator Grand-Est - If I Owned The Park (New Coasters, Rides and More - Part 1)
*If I took the ownership of Walygator Grand-Est, here's what I would do to help fix it's overall appearance. First, I would focus my attention on some much-needed park improvements. It's no secret to some guests that the park looks a bit worn down and neglected. But, I've a feeling that it's time for some good-old tender, love and care. This is where I would really show my employees and park guests that positive change is coming. If you're going to visit Walygator Grand-Est in the next few years, then you would notice a galore of park improvements. These would include the following:
- A complete change of marketing and the marketing dept., which would completely improve the overall vibe. This would also include an overhaul of advertising, it will show that the park is changing and there's something for everyone.
- Giving some of their coasters a fresh coat of paint
- Improving park infrastructure
- Replacing some of the worst restrooms with brand-new, modern ones
- Adding a few new restaurants, similar to the style that Cedar Fair has introduced to their parks, this would help expand the food options and food types that the park offers
- Anaconda would be refurbished and re-profiled by Great Coasters International (GCI). The refurbishment will see the replacement and re-profiling of most of the track as well as the replacement of the ride's current trains with new Millennium Flyer trains.
- Replacing the current park pathways with pavers
- Improving the park foliage, plant some trees and grass, hid the backstage areas so that it stays hidden away from guests
- The addition of some new live entertainment
- Overhaul the ownership and staffing, so that the rides are actually operating and maintained properly

Raptor at Cedar Point is my home park and my favorite ride. They have extended safety belt in rows 4 on the outside seats.

Monster is the same model than Raptor
As far i know two differents. In the middle part Monster dont have block brakes . And Monster is earthquake-proof :)

1:12:19 It's not just The Smiler soundtrack. Jesus Christ why is Vampire there too!? That's one of the best theme park soundtracks I've heard!
Monster looks great and interesting to see the differences between this and Raptor. Rest of the park looks ok, however it’s a shame some areas seem abandoned.
Crazy though how the park played the Smiler theme and an altered Vampire theme in their scare attraction.
The 4 rollercoasters Shawn rode in order:
1. Monster
2. Anaconda
3. Le Family Coaster
4. Comet
Blimy! Becoming spoiled by all the on-ride loveliness. That wooden coaster seemed to have had the air time removed by way of prodigious trimming. On to the next!

I came here as a child when it was a Smurf Park. It is in such a state, it's really sad. So much of this vlog is just old theming left to decay, with all smurf art, models and charm just ripped out. So much colour has gone and replaced with dirt, empty spaces and rot. I would love to go back for Monster but I do not think I could handle how it looks today. It is such a shame how little pride is taken in even the new attractions although I wish the park the best.

My favourite air race is the one at tivoli!
It was kinda sad to see Sudseewellen running so slowly. It was built to run much faster than that, with cars swinging up at an angle like they do on a fast matterhorn. There used to be ‘Explorer’ and ‘Quasar’ rides that were roughly similar, but I’ve not seen either of those in a while.

cooperkid232 the park is so empty most day’s that they don’t need two trains, I’ve had I think a 10 min wait to get on it.
If you look at any other videos of the shot tower (Space Shoot) you'll see that the top section of the tower in this video has been removed hence the ride being closed.

Last time I've visited this park, it still had the Smurfs theming. I loved it! I still remember the huge smurf on top of that tower on top of the shooting tower.
