    I agree on the importance of testing with a variety of tips. Rubber, Silicone, Foam and anything in between. I prefer SpinFit tips in most instances. But there are times when foam is the only way that works for a good experience. All that said, I absolutely love my OH10! Anyone who complains about weight is reaching. While they are heavy in hand, it's not at all noticeable when worn.

    Ikkio OH10 or Tanchjim Oxygen. You convinced me to go Oxygen over Mangrid Tea but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Now you have my curiosity up again.

    • @intoitreviews
      @intoitreviews  3 года назад +2

      Both are much better than the Tea. O2 is a more vocal forward, less soundstage width, but great depth an layering. Both are great... OH10 has more rumble and a bigger overall bass, O2 is a more audiophile mixture. Depends on you preferences, I have highlighted some of the differences here. I personally would go O2, but if you prefer the enhanced staging, bass, and slightly more neutral tonality, then I could see you picking the OH10. Both are good tough call. I also have a final A4000 review up on the Patreon, which is closer to the OH10 than the O2.

    • @terrymeyer
      @terrymeyer 3 года назад +1

      @@intoitreviews I listen to mostly hard rock, metal and classic rock music. Based on that would you go with the OH10 for the bass? I like a good clear solid bass punch.

    • @intoitreviews
      @intoitreviews  3 года назад +2

      Wait for the A400 review ;) I'd probably say it or the O2 for those genres. But OH10 is good too... you really can't go wrong with all three. I sent my OH10 to the Honest Audiophile so he could review it, otherwise I would compare directly for you. But for those genres, I think I'd still reach for O2 for all vocals. And A4000 for kick drums, and for most vocals A4000 rocks enough, but does better with mid to high ranged singers. O2 is more subbass focus and A4000 more midbass punch. Review is up on the Patreon right now, and will release to RUclips in a week or two.

    I'm a bit surprised these are still relevant in audiophile circles, IEMs are getting quickly replaced by newer products because the IEM market is way too saturated.
    An example would be the Fiio FA1 and FA7s, you don't see most people bring these up anymore during recommendations because they have been outclassed by other products.

    People are recommending Azla Xelastec tips to everyone now, they are great quality but really aren't ideal for all IEMs and ears. It bugs me when reviewers insist they only use a certain foam tip. I used to use Comply foam on all my IEMs when I first started using them. Later on I tried out a bunch of other tips and it turned out the foam tips were ruining the sound in most of my IEMs. I only use Comply tips in my wireless buds now to make sure they don't drop to the floor.

    Yeah, I bought the OH10s a few months ago and I'm happy with how they perform but I honestly can't recommend them to anybody because they tend to rattle from the inside while walking. While walking and moving my head left to right these buds raddle like bells on Santa's sled, very interesting to say the least. I would not recommend them to anybody unless they like burning money on defective products that were given high review marks by talking heads.

The most obvious (that I own) when it comes to tips making a difference is the Tape Pro. Paid $130 for black Friday. Tips are so critical even using them laying down in bed affects selection. As someone who just got into IEMs, I learned real quick that tips can make or break them. If they aren't comfortable you won't wear them long, if at all. If they don't seal right, they'll sound like shit and you won't use them. I would like to say that I’m not trying to start an argument and I do love your channel and have bought and loved IEMs based off of your reviews. The question I have is that I have not perceived differences in cables when it comes to sound characteristics. I feel like the only thing that could change is impedance scientifically but even then when it comes to headphone cables there is not a lot of difference from what I can tell. I find it curious when people say one cable sounds better than the other because I simply don’t hear it. If you’re willing to answer what is your take on this?

    • @intoitreviews
      @intoitreviews  3 года назад +2

      My guess is that it is just something you haven't experienced yet. There are a number of reasons that sound might change, when the cable does. Sourcing (impedence can play a roll), driver type and driver interaction effects, and your source's ability to display the difference or not, come to mind as some factors... but there certainly are more. Also consider that some people may not be able to hear the difference, because their ears aren't trained well enough, or they don't have the capability (which could be for a number of reasons) as well. But, money spent on a cables also does not necessarily mean it sounds better either, in my opinion. I have heard expensive cables that sound like garbage, and cheap ones that sound good too. Cables sometimes make zero difference as well. It is all a matter of synergy really. If you haven't observed it yet, I'd consider playing around more and/or upgrading to a more revealing source (or headphone/iem/speaker), or better yet 2, to compare. If you still don't hear a difference, then count your blessings, because sometimes the blue pill is the better choice in this hobby. I'll only point out a difference in a review when I think it matters... like this review for example... the cable was fine from a sound perspective, it just doesn't play as friendly as I would like from a use caze perspective, so I switched it.

    • @jdk_360
      @jdk_360 3 года назад

      @@intoitreviews I really think it’s an impedance thing. There is a lot of snake oil information in the audio world and I hate for people to be caught up in such nonsense. I also have a background where I worked in a store that sold photography equipment and did printing. I know it’s comparing apples to oranges but when it comes to photography there are people that see a photo and think that they need to spend thousands of dollars on equipment to get the same results. DACs and amps certainly will make a difference but the notion that you need a super high dollar cable to make headphones/IEMs sound right is ridiculous.

    • @jdk_360
      @jdk_360 3 года назад +2

      I admit that I’m not a scientist. I just wish there was a definable reason for sonic differences with different cables. I’m just one guy with one limited budget enjoying this hobby. Take it with a grain of salt on my opinion.

      Yeah, some of the snake oil salesmen should be ashamed of themselves.

    • @intoitreviews
      @intoitreviews  3 года назад +1

      Yea, it's difficult to say it is one thing or another, but I understand the frustration and being on a limited budget. For now, what I would say, is just watch my reviews and be aware of the possibility if I mention it. Like I said, most of the time its not an issue, and I'll only mention it if there are observable differences really. Good food for thought in any case. I was able to get mines for $127 using the website instead of Amazon. How I did his was applying 2 coupons towards the iem when it was at a discount for $149, and if you’re lucky you may not have to pay for shipping. I sadly did have to pay due to my location but it was cheaper for me than using Amazon.

      What a steal! I bought mine on Amazon for $169 ! Don't regret it! What ear tips do you use? Dakoni ear tips work best for my ears! Hope your enjoying your in ear monitors!

      @@davidmelnick9480 I'm definitely enjoying my IEM. Went from KZ iem $60 to these amazing OH10 $170 and they just sound so much clearer and the bass is definitely punchy. I hope you're enjoying yours as well.
      I'm actually using the same ear tips as yours, the Dakoni foam ear tips. But I'm also using other ear tips that I got when I ordered a new wire from ikko called Ikko CTU01. It came with doubled layer ear tips, balanced ear tips and short ear tips. The short ear tips makes my OH10 sound more bassier which is something I like.

      @@intoitreviews I have just purchased an Ikko Oh10 and I was thinking about the TFz No.3 since I am a basshead and I love those sets in my collection. How different are they in terms of sound?

    • @intoitreviews

      Pretty different one is wide and has a farther back presentation, the other is more like being in the musical mix in a done (no 3). Both require tip adjustments to get these sounds though. These are mentioned in each video. Thanks for supporting and subscribing to the channel.

    How airy and big of a soundstage is this iem? I have the aria and T3+ and for me they have an above average soundstage compared to other cheapfi iem I owned in the past when I first started. I’m planning for a step up for my arias and T3+. Do you think the OH10 is a big upgrade to them especially when it comes to soundstage?

    • @intoitreviews
      @intoitreviews  2 года назад +2

      Big upgrade? No... T3+ has a pretty large stage as it is. OH10 Stage is a bit bigger, but requires foam tips to get a large stage. If you use silicone the stage isn't going to be any bigger than the T3+ and may even be smaller. Resolution wise, the OH10 takes a step up in both clarity and naturalism, but don't expect a giant leap forward from the T3+ as that is already a good IEM that excells at its price-point too. I might look to the Kato or the Mangrid Tea 2 as alternatives, which might be larger upgrades, that is, if you're really looking to go to the next level. I suppose I'll bust the OH10 back out to compare to the Kato for that review. as well. I was comparing the Kato to the Tea2 last night, and surprised how well the Kato kept up. My general staging upgrade recommendations would be the Final Audio A4000 (if you can deal with some elevations), or the final B3 though. Check out those videos as well, and a big thank you for subscribing to support the channel.

      @@intoitreviews the oh10 came in already. as of now I don’t feel like it’s a step up from my t3+. Often times it’s like I’m listening to music underwater. Resolution to me is a step up and doesn’t mix sounds in busy tracking and can pick up individual sounds from it even in high volume which is a plus. But the thin mids which everyone noticed is really there. as for the soundstage I think the t3+ is much bigger maybe due to its tuning. when watching movie trailers with epic themes you will really feel like you’re inside a theater with the t3+, it doesn’t remind you that you have iem on your ears. but with these it makes you think and aware that you’re listening to an iem. for the bass and sub bass it has pretty good slam to kick drums and love the rumble on these too. if I will to rank the two iems based on my preference and fun using each I would say I’d give t3+ a 9/10 while the oh10 an 8/10.

      @@intoitreviews another week and I’ll decide whether to sell the oh10 have to try different tips just like you said and see if it’ll make me fall in love with it. maybe there’s also this brain burn-in but im not sure. or maybe there’s also this custom cable thing or upgraded cable but not really sure how it will improve the sound significantly. I also have to loan power sources and better daps from my friends bec some other people have said the sound on the oh10 improves especially the soundstage with better gear. then if not I’ll look into the tea 2 but not the kato since there’s a lot of people saying that it only has average soundstage. i also tried foam tips on these but didn’t make a difference on soundstage, any type of foam tips you can recommend?

    • @intoitreviews

      Ludos memory foams or dekoni (both work, I like the former better withe OH10, but they only come in one size whereas the dekoni come in multiple).
