Great Video with the usual Dave's Honest signature. Thanks. The simgot EM6l is my next buy, and very excited about those coming home to be a part of my small collection.
As mentioned in the video I hadn't heard the og OH10 since I reviewed. I wasn't a big fan of the original and from what I recall of it, the OH10s is an upgrade as it is less aggressive sounding.
I'm on my third pair of OH10. The clamshell opens up. You can superglue them back but c'mon 6 months and splits in half - 3sets! I love still them and anything similarly priced sounds tinny and cheap. I might give the OH10S a try - maybe the acrylic cover is a recognition that the alloy clamshell was a weak-spot? I live in hope. Update. Both the glass sides of the OH10s have fallen off and been superglued back. Still sound great but same crappy construction. It’s a shame they feel so solid.
From multiple reviews, I gather the OH10 is better for bass, wgich is my perference, but now I have to find a new or refurbished OH10. I plan to use the UEMs with an Anrlion Kamura mic and Ankerwork m650 wireless mic system for "prosumer" content creation, so thw tangled wires are not an issue (I woyud hate that). Don't like the OH10s fit and weight. Your revuew has helped my decision. Thx
Hi Dave, Really nice review and explanation in details. Really appreciate it. I have confused in between 7 HZ TIMELESS and MOONDROP KATO. Can you please helping me out which one I should opt for? One guidance will be much appreciated.
I tried these two and the OH10 (original) and the OH10 slayed both. The Timeless 7Hz had good detail, The Kato was blah (just my take - don't all shout). Neither had the warmth and engagement of the OH10. But the Ikko has had quality issues - they split! I hope the new model solves the problem..
hey Dave thanks for you advices, i couldn't got my mangird tea 2, but i got the kato by an offer of $138.00 in Ali Express in think i got a big improvement related to my kz zs10 pro X@@TheHonestAudiophile
I had the OH10 and I really like the sound but they would always fall out my ears when walking, this was mostly due to weight. The cable looks very similar to the original which I agree was annoying.
Ikko has been resting on their OH10 laurels too long. They didn't even bother to change the sh*tty cable and the rest of the accessories are exactly the same. You can't do that in today's highly competitive market. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad if they reduced the price but they didn't. For $200 Ikko needed a new quality cable, larger tip section, and a case that can separate and protect the shells. That Galileo looks comfortable. Is the "boring" tuning good when you're tired or plan on long listening sessions and don't want a fatiguing iem? Is it like any upgraded Kiwi Ears Cadenza?
Agree with your points. Ikko used the same BA driver as well, at least they tuned and implemented it better. The Galileo is a safe sound, somewhat boring, but is good for longer listening sessions and isn't fatiguing at all.
Hello! How would you compare these to the original OH10 and the LETSHUOER S12 pro? Looking to either get the OH10 or the OH10S for music listening and gaming. I just got the S12 pro and want to know how they compare to them if you don’t mind giving your input
I talked little about the OH10 in video, here is a link to my OH10 review: ruclips.net/video/RSGJ21dmzJw/видео.html Keep in mind I haven't heard the OH10 since I reviewed it. I haven't heard the S12 Pro. I would pick the OH10s for gaming and music listening if was choosing between the OH10 and OH10s.
@@amazish thanks so much man! I’m aware of the amount of bass, that’s actually the main reason I’ve been looking at them. The OH10(S) has the closest sound to the IE 300s which I’ve been looking for since I can’t use the 300s anymore. Do you know how the imaging/detail of the OH10 is compared to the 300s?
@@amazish ah gotcha. I want to get the 600 but they’ve been having the same QC problem as the 300. Do you use the stock cable or do u know about a 3rd party cable that may work with them?
I wasn't able to do side by side comparison but if memory serves me correctly the bass is similar but the OH20S is more refined, detailed and resolving. I don't recall which has more bass extension.
Hey dave i was just wondering what should i get for more electronic/synth/bass focused music - tin hifi t2? T3? T3 plus? P1 max? Dauntless? Dunu titan S? Im leaning towards p1 for that sale. Im using an iphone with 3.5mm lightning headphone jack dongle. Thank you so much
Of those options, I would use the T3+ because it will have the most bass impact. If you want cleaner bass with good impact the P1 Max but I doubt the dongle you are using would drive it correctly. All the others you list are going to be lighter on bass and more mids focused and I don't think will be best pairing for electronic/synth genres.
Not defending the terrible cable, but this is entering a price point where people generally start to use aftermarket things, so I wonder if the thought process was “they won’t use it anyway.”
Dave, use some wide aperture lens on your camera and you'll get bokeh or background defocus. Recommendation is F1.4 or wider (the smaller the number numerically, the better blur). Also the closer to the lens the better. So I advise a wide angle lens that you can sit closer to. No more glitches. Happy to recommend depending on your camera. (sorry for that message if you use a phone 😂)
I use a phone camera not a actual camera. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying different settings, hopefully the next video will look better. Thanks for the suggestions and feedback.
Worst accessories on any $200 IEM i've ever seen the cable is just phatetic i've seen $25 IEMs with better cables tips nothing special and just a stupid pouch instead of a case
As mentioned in the video, I didn't have the og OH10 to compare side-by-side. From what I recall of the original, I prefer the OH10s over it. Here is a link to my OH10 review. ruclips.net/video/RSGJ21dmzJw/видео.html

My pleasure, you're welcome.
Thanks Dave. Ive been looking forward to these as I own the original OH10. They are a lot of fun. I love the sub bass rumble 👍
Glad you enjoy the OH10.
Finally some reviews on this guy. The original OH10 is one of my favorite sets ever. Very fun overall for my library. Thanks for the great work Dave.
OH10 is a community favorite but wasn't for me. The OH10s on the other hand is an improvement in my opinion.
Great Video with the usual Dave's Honest signature. Thanks. The simgot EM6l is my next buy, and very excited about those coming home to be a part of my small collection.
Interesting. I've not even heard about the EM6l.

Did your ikko oh10 open up by itself?
I was wondering how would I even open it myself because I need to try to repair it...
@@Empty12345 no. I dropped it and it split open. Btw the new one is just as brittle. I’ve super glued the OH10s already. Very frustrating

I wonder if using a Sonion BA (like the Galileo has) instead of the Knowles would have removed some of that metallic timbre. 🤷♂
Yes, I think it would. In my opinion Sonion BA tend to sound more natural than Knowles BA more often than not.
Thanks Dave! do you think these IEM are better than Kato and IE200/300?
I mean sound quality and separation
Kato has better tone and timbre. I haven't head the IE200/300.

Just confirming your musings: I immediately replaced the cable with a Hakugei Moonstone.
Interesting thought. I rarely change cables but I realize a lot of people do though.
This fake depth of field filter is really ruining this video, as it blurs out everything you hold up to show us
