You will also have two other versions of this song to react to, as each member of Babymetal have taken lead vocals on this song for special performances celebrating their 15th and 20th birthdays, 21st birthday in the case of Momo though. Which for those you would want to look up Moabanger and Headbanger Momoko ver.
Well, technically it´s FOUR other versions 😄 Too bad that Yui´s and Moa´s 15th birthday versions are fancam only, but at least Yui´s version is available in a pretty good enhanced quality... and he should listen to Moa´s 15th birthday version as well, just to admire how freaking stable she can sing. She sounded just as good even back then, as she did with her 20th birthday version.
You guys gotta give him the right links so he don’t get to pick accidentally to a monstruosity compilation of h3ll, give him the right links for those songs guys!
@@charlymxgames301 if you are allowed by YT to provide direct links, please go ahead 🙂 For other people it might not be satisfying to write an elaborated comment, containing some direct links, which simply disappears right after posting it...
Great reaction again! Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! is a banger, right? My first BABYMETAL song/performance ever, it has a special place in my soul 😄 Can´t wait for the other reactions! With the unofficial "Trilogy of Death" you´ll get excitement, tears, and pure awe😁
This whole concert really is legendary - everything looks and sounds amazing and it's SO non-stop, and includes several pretty unique tracks that you won't hear anymore. Great you're doing all 3 tracks from the same concert. There is also an EDM version of this in the same concert - called "Night of 15" - if you want to hear a unique and cool version of this track. Great reaction!
Good one, thanks! "Headbanger" or more properly "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" or "ヘドバンギャー! !" (Hedobangyā!!) is about a girl who attends to her first metal concert on the night of her 15th birthday and that causes a great impact on her. That is the age of the end of the compulsory school in Japan so young people have to make some relevant decisions at that point. So, this is actually about coming on age and leaving the childhood behind with a hint of nostalgia. Not a biographical theme because this is a pretty early song and Su-metal performed it for the first time when she was only 14. This performance is impressive and not only because of the ladies and the Kami Band skills and precision (it's actually their thing) but also because of the crowd interaction. They are black belt in crowd control and that makes their live performances really amazing. Context: this is from the show called Legend 1997 - Su-metal seitansai, literally Su-metal's (16th) birthday party and took place on December 21st, 2013 at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba. The big picture of the whole concert was their transition from a j-pop idol group sub-unit to a legit metal band. But we can explain it better after "BABYMETAL DEATH", the show closer. 😁 🤘🦊
Great reaction. rrahl and road-runner have explained the meaning and significance of 'Headbanger' and the context of the Legend 1997 concert (this was December 2013, the day after Su-metal's 16th birthday - she was born in 1997). These three songs were the final three of the concert, so not an official trilogy, but together they did close the concert spectacularly and completed the story that they had been acting out throughout the whole concert. Legend 1997, as well as being Su's birthday party, was the final step in their transition from a sub-unit of a JPop Idol group to becoming an independent band in their own right. The concert effectively dramatised that journey. BABYMETAL do have an official trilogy that you may want to react to in due course. The last 3 songs of their 3rd album Metal Galaxy (2019) are about the stages of mourning we go through after losing somebody close. 'Starlight' is about the initial shock and grief and even anger. 'Shine' is about coming to terms and accepting the loss. 'Arkadia' is about celebrating the connection we had, but moving on, looking to the future and better times yet to come. No rush for those, complete these three songs from Legend 1997. I think you will be struck by the contrast. Remember how 'Headbanger' ended when you watch 'Akatsuki (unfinished version)' and then remember how that was when you watch 'BABYMETAL Death' (and read the description for that video before you watch it - there is an intro and the translation is in there).
Nice reaction. Babymetal since the very beginning have had an almost magical connection with their audiences. It's quite extradinary and just one of the reasons Babymetal to this day remains one of the best live acts on the planet.
It’s the reason why the fandom is called The One. You feel so connected with them during the show. They keep you interacted with them like you’re part of the show too. Together as one.
Legend 1997 concert is Su-Metal's (lead singer) 16th birthday, the set was 15 or 16 songs total, the ones requested are the last three. The concert was formatted as an old-school rock opera - telling the story of Su-Metal abandoning her life as a jpop idol to become a metal goddess. Start to finish it is one of the most unique, coolest, best things I have ever watched. The songs suggested to you (headbanger, akatsuki unfinished, death) are amazing to end the story. Oddly enough, headbanger was also the first song in the setlist - a house remix version with an operatic opening. Fun watching your reaction thanks! look forward to the rest!
This is a Mike Stand and she used it in the style of Freddy Meecury. They had a huge number of References to other Bands and Musicians. Like the Statue in the Background (Metallica). Id you consider that they cruvifird their lead singer in the last song you have more than enough reasons for these Vibes. And we know for certain that he knew ecactly that those were jokes Kiss or Acdc could only dream about.
Great explanation! To add: the 15-song setlist transitions from a fully lip-synced EDM Headbanger (J-Pop style) and gradually gets heavier and more "metal", until the real Kami Band shows up for the 5-song encore, with the "trilogy" finishing out the show. A really well-done show that not only tells the story well but also accounts for IRL lack of funds for a real band for full shows (at that time).
The intro might be something ominous, though, but it is a pure rock number. Su- always sings with a hand mic in her left hand, but only for this song, she use the 'Freddie' mic stand. She always puts the hand mic on the stand the moment she starts singing. The gesture is not deliberate and a very cool. I like it. Thank you from Japan. P.S. The last of the three songs you were recommended, 'BABYMETAL Death' is the correct song title, not just 'Death'. 😉
To be precise this connection between the songs is mainly an idea that started among fans. Koba simply forgot to talk to his girls, what he wanted to do with their lives exactly and why. He simply wanted to keep his three girls together. Moa and Yui would continue the next two Years with school and a few Babymetal performances, while Su would qualify as a staff member, to get all the qualifications to become a Stage director. Today she is their stage director
8:36: Oh no! You're now experiencing the irreversible side-effect of Babymetal - You've started doing the side-to-side headbanging. There is no cure, there is no going back, you're forever trapped in the Babymetal Foxhole... 🤣 Expect the unexpected. Babymetal will surprise you at every turn. Also, after you complete the unofficial "trilogy", be sure to do "Momobanger". Momometal's 21st birthday special of this song from Mar 2024, at the Legend MM show. It is Babymetal's tradition for each of the backing vocalists/dancers to do a special version of this song for their important birthdays. 🤘🦊
Permit me to refer you back to a comment I made on your "Pa Pa Ya!" reaction: I suggested that you react to the entire "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" concert ( ruclips.net/p/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q ). Had you looked at that link, you would have discovered that it has one video for each track, the last three being those suggested by "John-I7y1t". This is not a condemnation of you, but I seriously wonder why I go to the trouble of making recommendations when they seem to go unnoticed; it didn't get a like much less a "Thanks for commenting" on that video OR the comment I posted on your "Road of Resistance" video. Of course, on the other hand, it could be that making suggestions and recommendations here on RUclips is pointless because you concern yourself with paying customers such as those on Patreon. Please allow me to apologize for the rant - I'm only trying to help you get the best you can out of BABYMETAL. And if any suggestions or recommendations I (or anyone else) make are pointless, please let me know - I think it would save us both a lot grief. Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
don't do akatsuki unfinished, do the black night version. the unfinished is good but it is an alternate form that is done to piano alone. it is good but don't do it until you hear the how it is supposed to be heard in context of the trilogy. the full version is one of their best songs and a true classic.
BABY METAL🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥

"Headbanger" Legend 1997 Apocalypse:- This concert is an epic show celebrating Babymetal Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) 16th Birthday 🎉 or Seitansai @ the Makuhari Messe. Spot the Pikachu in the middle of the crowd, you won't miss it!. After this react to "BABYMETAL DEATH" @ the same concert, you will see homage tribute to METALLICA, X JAPAN 🇯🇵 & ALICE COOPER. Not to forget "Road Of Resistance" live in Japan 🇯🇵. No 2 BABYMETAL songs are the same.
Headbanger (Babymetal song):-
"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" (ヘドバンギャー!!, Hedobangyā!!) is a single by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. Released in Japan on July 4, 2012 in promotion for the album Sakura Gakuin 2012 Nendo: My Generation, the single serves as the third single from the debut album Babymetal. It is also the band's first solo audio release to be released commercially.
•Single: Babymetal.
•Album: Babymetal and Sakura Gakuin 2012. •Nendo: My Generation.
•Language: Japanese.
•Released: July 4, 2012.
•Genre: Power Metal, Heavy Metal.
•Length: 14:44.
•Label: Juonbu.
•Songwriter: Edometal, Nakametal, Narasaki.
•Producer: Kobametal.
•Narametal: (arrangement).
Babymetal singles chronology:-
"Babymetal / Kiba of Akiba": (2012)
"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!": (2012)
"Ijime, Dame, Zettai": (2013)
Background and release:-
Unlike previous tracks released by the band, which had her vocal recorded in segments within the songs, Nakamoto had her lines recorded in a single take several times. She had been told to sing and find a story within the music. By the time she had comprehended the story behind the lyrics, she grew capable of singing the entire song naturally. When Mizuno and Kikuchi listened to her shouting "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" for the first time, they felt as if they had seen another cool side of her, surprised by the vocal power. Additionally, the single introduced the members to the whispering style of singing, with the A-side's "Kiero!" (Disappear!) and the B-side's "Uki Uki Midnight". Kobametal was inspired to Ko use it to contrast traditional death growls.
"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" was announced as a single on April 27, 2012, with a release date set for July 7, 2012. The single was released in two versions: a standard edition, available via CD and digital formats, and a physical limited Hedo-ban ("Head edition"), which contains a CD and a "neck corset" (actually a cervical collar) for headbanging training.[5] Both editions of the single feature the songs "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" and "Uki Uki ★ Midnight" (ウ・キ・ウ・キ★ミッドナイト, "Exhilarating Midnight"), along with instrumental versions (labeled as "Air Vocal ver."). The standard version contains an enhanced CD with a bonus music video of "Babymetal Death", which can only be played on a computer. The artwork of the standard edition depicts a lyric in the song, specifically when the girl is headbanging with the corset, with the crimson-colored moon in the background, as well as the band name appearing at the top. The limited edition artwork depicts a temple scripture of the "Corset of Legend" with the song title spelled out in the middle.
Before the physical international release of the song, its title was written ambiguously as either "Head Bangya!!" or "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!", the latter of which is officially used in the international re-release of Babymetal and all future releases. The music video uploaded to the band's RUclips channel initially had the former name, though it was switched to the latter in 2015; the version uploaded by Toy's Factory consistently retained the official title.
Tekina Remix:-
During the live performances Legend "D" Su-metal Seitansai at Akasaka Blitz on December 20, 2012, and Legend "1997" Su-metal Seitansai at Makuhari Messe on December 21, 2012, a remix titled "Night of 15 mix." was performed, containing more elements of electronic music. The former took place on Suzuka Nakamoto's actual fifteenth birthday, while the latter was the opening song for the concert. Remixed by DJ'Tekina//Something, the song was later released as part of Social Reform promotional editions of the single "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", and later appeared on DJ'Tekina//Something's remix album Kawa-EDM (2016), re-subtitled as "Tekina Remix".
KamiBand:-
The KamiBand are the instrumentalists (or backing band) in BABYMETAL - Each member is a "god (Kami) of music" summoned by The Fox God stage by stage. All the Kamis are male except for the Babymetal girls. The Kami Band wear corpse face paint and white robes depicting Japanese 🇯🇵 spirit. The Kami Band have their own jobs and side-projects in addition to BABYMETAL.
Babymetal original Trio:-
•Suzuka Nakamoto: Su-Metal (2010 - present).
•Moa Kikuchi: Moametal (2010 - present).
•Yui Mizuno: Yuimetal (2010 - Left Babymetal in 2018 due to undisclosed health issue).
•Momoko Okazaki: Momometal (2023 - present).
Current & Past Members Of Kami Band Who Perform At The "MAKUHARI MESSE":-
•Leda Cygnus (Guitar, ESP BLACK CUSTOM).
•Mikio Fujioka (Guitar, ESP BLACK & GREY CUSTOM) R.I.P January 2018.
•Daisuke 'BOH' Bohte (Bass, ATELIER Z BETA 6, Boh'S CUSTOM 6).

Ill do my best to help you guide you through your Babymetal journey

Nice reaction!! HeadBangerrrrrr🦊🔥🔥

Fantastic reaction! Love the content bro
To be precise this connection between the songs is mainly an idea that started among fans. Koba simply forgot to talk to his girls, what he wanted to do with their lives exactly and why.

Expect the unexpected.

I disagree. Akatsuki from 2021 would be better after this
