What a wonderfully engrossing way to explore Irish literature & culture. As French writer Marcel Proust put it in his monumental novel 'À la recherche du temps perdu/In Search of Lost Time' 💃🕺
Fantastic video in a beautiful environment. I have played that tune on the Scottish Smallpipes for over thirty years and always assumed it was of English origin. Now I know, sorry Ireland.
Great content, magnificently put together and made all the more delightful by the beautiful October lighting. Love the tune, the Pinch of Snuff is definitely a fav of mine!
What a lovely story and film. Quite delightful. I heard a piper playing a tune years ago and asked the name of it, "Jackie Lattin" was the reply, then I promptly forgot it. When I saw the name in the article on the ITMA email, that jogged my memory. I'm sure that all involved in the making of the video had a great time; it certainly looks like it! Thanks for making the video and for taking the time to upload. Merry Christmas to you all.
This video is very inspiring.

I can see Jack dancing with you love it

Mighty, Edwina, just mighty. And lovely playing there, Cathal.
Lovely segment Ireland in Music! Always such joy and good spirit!
My family is descended from this family on my mother’s side. I loved hearing more about Jack Lattin and seeing the beautiful dancing and scenery.

Osberstown, do you think, maybe. Oberstown is a remand centre for young people, if memory serves, and it is not in Kildare.
