Hey Troy, you probably won’t see this, but I’ve been playing Mario Kart Wii ever since September 2008, just a few months after it’s initial release. I was only three years old at the time, and I played the game casually for many years with my dad and eventually my younger brother. I eventually got Mario Kart 8 when it originally released in 2014. However, I never really felt the same feeling that I got when playing this game. I discovered your channel about two years ago and have watched ever since, and have enjoyed your videos every single day since. One day I was watching one of your 200cc speedruns and I said, I have to get 200cc. So, one day about a year ago I woke up early and downloaded it on my Wii U. By sheer luck I already had a CCP controller and I began my CTGP adventure. After time trialing in 200cc online for a few months, I’ve recently experimented with online. Since I’m only at about 5.2k VR, my games are mainly 100cc. This game has reentered my life and makes me feel the way that 8 never made me feel for whatever reason. Thank you so much Troy for this video, your tutorial videos, and your videos that make me tune in and watch and laugh daily.

A few years ago when I went into some kind of after-school care, they had MK and I somehow knew a few shortcuts. I was never allowed to play because I kept winning when I did and I caused the staff to have to deal with tantrums. (it was the easier less risky shortcuts btw)

A few months ago you mentioned wanting to do a lot of tutorials, so going "eh you know what ? that guy's already doing great, let's not bother" instead of doubling down is a sensible and generous decision.
I love your recent use of the no-clip angles, they really provide a good look at the whole track during these more technical explanations. The extra effort goes a long way!

@Ref If youre playing with the Wii wheel (whithout the shell) it's propably because you're doing both a trick and a wheelie at the same time. If that is the case, press B while in the air. That will cancle your wheelie. I don't know the controls for the other controllers or the Wii wheel shell so if you're playing one of these I can't help you.

Accident usually. I could see someone accidentally steering the wrong way on the half-pipe and clipping through there. After that then it's just a matter of seeing if it could be a shortcut

@@snurre5031 There are custom servers named Wiimmfi. I recommend getting CTGP because it has Wiimmfi implemented into it. If you don't know how to get CTGP you can watch a tutorial by troy.
This is what made Mario kart Wii great and better than mk8. There were tons of shortcuts, and more importantly, shortcuts like DK summit, BC3 and dry dry ruins that was just track design but the community made a shortcut out of it
Troy, you should make a video going over tech like spin and slip drifting for those who don't know what it is. A little tutorial would probably get a ton of traffic from people learning this game at the higher levels.

The Wii online mode doesn't work anymore. It was shut down about a year ago or two. You can hack your wii and use MKWii hack called Wiimfi and play online that way. It's really fun but a little harder to get access to
FYI, brake-drifting only exists on 200cc, a speed class that only exists in CTGP (and in MK8/MK8D.) If you haven't already, check out ArcIntel 's channel, the one that Troy shouted out at the end of this video. It has various guides and tutorials you may possibly be looking for :)
When a 2009s Console Mario kart has better Online than Mario kart tour -_- Mobile games has amazing multiplayers in many games but mkt is not one of them
It's just a really unique Mario Kart game. I'm sure Nintendo will eventually bring back double karts from double dash and mission mode from Mario Kart DS, but we will never again have a Mario Kart game with so many unintentional shortcuts. Also the community is just absolutly insane.
I'm really good at most of them. The only ones I still struggle with are the Toads Factory lakeskip, the Mushroom Gorge gapjump and the Bowsers Castle glitch.
when i do sand top cut u usually wait until I have at least 3 mushrooms so I can go through the part that will skip the bridge and if you are lucky can skip the small dune

I’m pretty good at some of these shortcuts, but I need practice on some of them, especially the BC cut and the Mushroom Gorge gap jump
