Looks fantastic Annie! And I agree that Bookhou’s projects look great - I have a few PDFs printed and waiting in my rather large “to make” pile 😆 cheers, Christine
Thanks Christine, yes indeed, lots of inspiration on that channel aren't there? The woven pouch is quite high on my list, I really must break out my table loom soon, I still havne't used it! :)
These are sweet. Remember making something similar years ago out of felt. The ends had 2 circles of felt with card in between. It was wide enough to hold 2 sylko bobbins, needles, pins, safety pins etc. This one is like a mini hussif! ❤
Thank you again for a very watchable video for me in the early hours (another broken and sleepless night for me). It's a cracking idea for a slow stitch make and I'm now off to watch the bookhou design :)
Glad you enjoyed it Susan and I feel for you with the sleeplessness, I've always been a bad sleeper/night owl, but at least it doesn't matter so much now that I'm retired. Glad you liked the mini roll idea, and I'm sure you will enjoy Bookhou as well :)
Thank you so much, I really enjoyed making it, might make some more as little gifts - they are a cute way to use quite small scraps. Thanks for watching xo
You are so welcome, thank you for watching! Please do share some pics if you make one, I always love to see :) Links to our Discord and Facebook group are in my linktree in the description box if you haven't joined already :)
I'm so excited to see this! My mom just gave me an heirloom sewing roll - based on the fabric and whose initials are embroidered on it, we think it was from the Victorian era. I immediately wanted to make my own, so I saw this video at the perfect time!
Oooh what a lovely heirloom to have! That kind of thing gives me goose pimples. Have fun making your own, and just think - one day, someone may be passing on the one you make as an heirloom in the future :)
Just after watching this, I walked into the kitchen and sitting on the windowsill was a small empty pill bottle. Mmmmmm, I wonder if sewing machine bobbins would fit in there, and they do. So I can make one of these using the pill bottle, covered with material, and put a selection of threads inside. Sometimes I surprise myself with my good ideas. Thanks for sharing, these are lovely. From New Zealand.
Thank you Annie for your video. This is really cute. I had a little container like this year's ago and you put your lipstick in it,there was a tiny mirror in the lid it was basically fabric covered cardboard and was more a novelty ,this is more useful and much prettier. When I was young your stockings had suspenders and one of the little holders was replaced with a sixpence to get you home 😂 I hand stitched a zip in last month following a project in the amazing Jennifer Clouston on her RUclips channel and it certainly got rid of all my fears. Hand stitch for me will always be the way to go now. See you soon in your craft room.
Thank you for watching Carol, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I love that story about the suspender sixpence! I remember those lipstick containers too. It's funny isn't it that somehow zips feel less scary if you hand stitch them in :)
Thanks so much Giusi 😊 yes me too, now I'm thinking of using different sizes of tubes to make little rolls for different purposes - maybe I will wish I hadn't thrown all those tubes away! :D
Please do and I'd love to see some pics if you make some of these, I always get excited to see other people's take on an idea - you'll find links to our free Discord community and FB group in the description, you're welcome to join and show us what you're making :)
@@artyfartyannie no had to look up, we do have sausage rolls though mind some people are putting cheese in these yucky cheese sausage rolls. Hang on we do have mini sushi rolls! lol yep these are yum.
Wonderful! - do you mean you just made one now after watching the video, or had you made one already? I'd love to see some pics if you're happy to share - links to our FB and Discord are in the description box if you haven't joined already :)
Hi Annie, I do so enjoy all of your videos. I loved your stitching in this one. Can I ask what needle you used, it looked like it was long and fine. I always struggle to find the right needle for the job. Many thanks for making these well appreciated videos for us all, Diane xxx
Hi Diane - I think the longer needle was a sashiko one, I love those. My other favourite type is chenille needles, because they're sharp with a large eye. Milliners needles are also handy, they're long and thin but with a smaller eye. Hope that helps xo
Thank you Jan, I'm glad you like it. I made that one with a piece of kawandi quilting, because I was trying to find good uses for all my kawandi work, but you can make them with whatever fabrics or quilted pieces you like. I think I explained how I made it in this video a while back - ruclips.net/video/erBRE4PeN98/видео.htmlsi=bqayJ1HzjY5tLQuN - skip to about five minutes. Hope that helps :)
Hi Ruth, Bea doesn't have a website, she put the bundles of fabrics up in the Makers Market in our Discord - I see you've joined now, so you could either check out the makers market or message her directly. she only sends to UK, due to postage costs. She said in the beginning that she would have a constant supply of scraps due to her job making custom designer curtains and that she could put together bundles according to what people want, so I would suggest messaging her in Discord. If you're not sure how to do that, give a shout in the General Chat or Tech Support and someone will always help you out :)

So pretty! Instead of bottle caps or a spool, you could wind thread on sewing machine bobbins.😊
Thank you, that's a great idea! Yes that would definitely work too and I thnk I have stash of them somewhere :)
First time watching your Chanel. Awesome little project. Regards Helen
Hi Helen, thank you, I really enjoyed this project and I'm glad you liked it, thanks for watching :)
I've been following this channel recently too, I want to weave her pouch and love the look of the triangle pouch xx
Definitely, those are both high on my list of "stuff to try" - watch this space xo

Thanks very much Liz - honestly with the tutorial from Bookhou and the gorgeous scraps from Bazaar to use, I couldn't go wrong really could I? :)

Thank you Karyn - I'm very happy with it myself, and it's not often I say that about something I've made myself. Are you going to make one? :)
Delightful little project! The triangle pouch has been suggested to me by YT - I'll have to go have a look at that channel. 😊
Thank you Sue, yes the triangle pouch looks fab and I love the purse that is woven all in one piece as well - lots of inspo on that channel :)

I haven't been able to find my whatnot. It has been missing for months, along with my needle case. I am going to have to make new ones!
You should definitely make new ones Sue, then the original ones will show up for sure! :)

Thank you Lynie, I do love creating pretties with these scrap bags, my mind is buzzing at the moment, after a temporary loss of mojo :)
