As a rookie cop in Brooklyn we were sent to a noise complaint in an apartment building. It was the wedding reception for a young Russian couple. Nobody at the party spoke English. My partner and I tried to explain to them that we had gotten a complaint. It was one heck of a party. They insisted that we have some food. Then we started dancing. (There were some outstanding looking Russian ladies there). Well, as they say, the next thing you know it’s 3AM and our tour had ended at midnight. I must admit that the wedding cake was delicious.

At my sisters 15 that we had at the house which she chose to do , we had two young cops come for a noise complaint and they said “your fine the music isn’t that loud we couldn’t even find it until we drove up to this house , we will be going now” we told the cops hold on you can’t leave just yet have you guys eaten yet they said no and they left with a plate of food I even saw one open Snapchat and posted something about the food 😂
Until they are your neighbors 😂😂. I used to have neighbors like this and our street was filled with their cars on every weekend. Loud music and dancing. They were friendly people, but it got annoyed when it happened for 3 yrs. the husband got deported for selling drugs and SA of his niece. He went to prison and the rest of his family moved back to Central America in 2018.

@@h.s.6269 we love both we can be proud Americans while being proud of our roots, culture and traditions. Also many of us have dual citizenship so are equally both. Our parties are full of our culture and heritage so calling it a Mexican party is the correct term. You don't see non Mexican Americans throwing our type of parties so calling it American is incorrect. Just like I attended a Desi Wedding the culture is what makes it Desi it being in America doesn't make it an American wedding as many Americans don't celebrate with such rich culture. Nothing wrong with labeling a party what it is.

I know even black people who moved out of "diverse" neighbourhoods just to stay away from those people, but somehow you want to try and call me racist 😂 So, you want to talk about race? I said "culture," and if people who are used to being noisy in their country, like Hispanics, come living next to you, then yeah, you'll know that you are more likely to encounter noisy Hispanics more than noisy chinese people. When you go to, let's say, somewhere in the Middle East with guides for a vacation, and they tell you, "Don't go over there because it is dangerous for you, also, wear thse clothes or else there might be troubles" do you call the guides racist? Yeah, no, because they're non-whites, so you wouldn't dare call them racist anyway. I see many people going "viva la rassa, Hispanics treated them so well! Omg Hispanics are so great!" Type of comments, and seemingly being in favour of the noise, so I don't get it, why is it not ok for me to point out that they're being noisy? and point out that the problem comes often because their culture is noisy? But everyone can praise them for being an annoyance to whoever wants to just enjoy peace and quiet? Hoe is it that people whonwnat silence are wrong but those who are loud are not? When my neighbor was having a party like this i just invited myself over to celebrate with them. My neighbor and i are now really good friends.
100% same! I moved into a house, next door was a Mexican family who would have the occasional party. I was friendly with them , would say hi and chat, so one weekend they have a bash, it was getting late but it was also a weekend, I grab a case beer and head over. I say to my neighbors I was home but couldn’t sleep so can I come over? Never have I been more welcomed anywhere. Food, drinks, smiles, friendliest people
To make it better, my neighbors have come to my family parties as well and we have actually become great friends
The cherry on top, the people who I bought my house from was a cranky older couple who were completely not friendly and complained about everything. My neighbors say the whole vibe of our street is completely improved with them gone and my family there.

My sister's got a neighbor like this. EVERY 4th of july she is blowing up the neighborhood app every 5 minutes while the whole neighborhood is having a blast. I am usually a live and let live guy but she was talking about her "redneck hillbilly neighbors".......keep in mind the average cost of a home here is 900k. That pissed me and my brother off so we each grabbed 2 10000 count rolls of black cats and set all 4 of them off at once after she posted that. The old dried up prune looked out the windows at us and i sipped my beer and flipped her the bird. My sister throws ONE......ONE party a year and this woman wants be an ass about it......i can be a petty ass as well. My sister is pretty nonconfrontational.......thats when big bro steps in i have no problems being confrontational. I worked at a pawnshop to put myself through college......wasn't a day when i didn't have to deal with an issue.

we have parties all the time in my neighborhood, we are like a big family and at one point when i was growing up we had over 30 kids here. it was/is loud most summer nights and even tho we were all at most of the parties lol not a single person has ever called the cops or came over to complain! even the older neighbors they just knew we were having fun and they’d rather us be safe in our own backyards than out doing whatever else. that being said we were always very respectful and music always went off after a certain time

Our neighborhood is like that too. Whoever is having the party gives a heads up to the neighbors so they aren't surprised by all the cars, and generally it moves inside after midnight. Also people don't throw parties on weeknights. A little courtesy goes a long way.

I think it's great that they approached this in a kind way! I'm fine with people's party music unless it goes on after midnight, some people do work, etc. Being considerate goes both ways! That said, nobody needs to be nasty about it. I'm lucky my neighbors always turn down their music after it gets late all on their own. Good people!

Some places have noise ordinance at sundown which is roughly 4-6pm here at this time of year. The police though don't give a flying fuck as long as it is safe and in private property. They still have to show up though. Happens pretty often in the fall here and they give out little stickers and pins to the kiddos
