What a straight up DIRTY cop. He literally listened to that teenager say he’s going to say whatever he needed to say to get her taken out of that house. He didn’t care he was going to say ANYTHING WHATEVER IS NEEDED. The cop was literally standing right there listening to him confess that was his intent then not even 3 minutes later there he goes answering pointed questions by the same cop DIRECTING him on what was needed to be said yes to then and ONLY then did he say WHATEVER was needed to get his mother removed. This is crapy police work and they are going to permanently sever whatever was left of this mother and son relationship. Disgusting. That cop and all those cops who allowed that to happen like that should be stripped of their badge and fired. If they have shown to have this level of integrity then wow they cannot be trusted when need to handle more important matters. Their word and integrity must of a certain level to command the respect needed for that job. Those are disgraceful jokes. Not officers of the law.
Are you allowed to bring your cop car home? So many Likes! Thanks guys! Love the support, why dont you subscribe to the short creator though, and dont like my comment?
It depends on the agency. For the holding the vest , when holding around the vest neck it's actually a defense tactic to protect your head and your face during a close contact with suspect , incase they decide to hit you in the face.
As a rule, I always try to keep my hands above my waist/duty belt. Hands in pockets are slow to react and project vulnerability. The academy literally teaches a tactical way to stand which looks VERY unnatural and aggressive so hands above waist with a casual, balanced stance is a good compromise. Also, duty belts mostly eliminate your pants pockets and vests eliminate jacket/hoodie pockets so you don’t really have any other place to hang your hands.
I’m no cop, but when I zip up my jacket I hold it by the collar, It’s like a resting position, Really comfortable especially when you’ve been standing for awhile
Yup, as a former MP I can personally approve this. Especially the times when it's cold its really comfortable to slide your both hands under the vest from the sides.
@@justinwon4962 yeah we also had an inner vest protecting from pistol rounds underneath the "ACU" (I'm Finnish so its different model but still same type of vest). Still atleast our vest was just loose enough that you could fit your hand under it.
@@TrumpWonTwice Soooo can you explain why 90% of the time when we rest our hands inside the vest, no one is actually around? Also, ironically when we interact with people, we usually take the hands OUT of the vest so that we are actually ready to use the equipment if ever necessary. Besides all this, all of the weaponry and tools are located on the belt, not the vest, so there is just absolutely no reason to expose our vests to people to "show off what we have". Again, just goes to show you've never been in this line of work.
@@TrumpWonTwice Id say that most do it for comfort and few do it for posturing atleast in my country. Your initial comment just heavily seemed to imply that "intimidation" is its main purpose.
It's not just comfortable, if you're wearing a vest and duty belt and stuff, where you have all kinds of gear all over your body, it blocks many of the places you would usually put your hands. You naturally start looking for somewhere to put your hands, and the vest is just the natural place.
A lot of people can say all the crap they want about him doing spin paint but I mean that was just a hobby I’m assuming this man has a family to support and he Stepped up to the call to protect and serve and keep his community safe for his family and all others! In my opinion big props my man ✊🏻💯
Service? Who is he serving? 90% of the people the police arrest are victimless offenders. They rarely catch murderers, realists and especially never catch child molesters. They focus on non victim based offenses like drugs, speeding, burnt out tail lights, prostitution etc. wake up boot licker.
I dont know they all that tactical bullshit. Time and time again has shown they are not gonna put themselves in danger for anyone. Just go after non criminals to see if any charges stick.
I did the same thing in the army. It's more comfortable to put your hand inside your vest and if it's really hot out you can kind of get a little bit of air between the vest and your shirt.
Also in the Army I would do the same so my hands were above my waist while talking to someone. It’s a good way to keep your guard up while not looking aggresive
I'm a customs officer. I l hold my vest the way the 2nd position was demonstrated, but there's a reason for that. If someone's aggressive or becoming aggressive, I like to have my hands up to easily defend myself if I get assaulted. (Speaking from experience, it happens.) Sometimes officers do it take some weight off their shoulders. Tactical vests and body armour have a bit of weight.
I noticed also that wearing one in work over the full day can be challenging if your very active also and doing this can feel like ventilation on your body and allows you to take a proper unrestricted full deep breath
Also when it’s hot, your vest will sometimes rub against your uniform, and ride up. This will happen when in the hot months we leave some slack in the vest to allow air to breeze through. In the colder months, we tend to tighten the vest more to keep the body heat to the core.
Just wear soft armor. There is no valid reason to walk around in hard armor all day long. If you want to destroy your back keep doing it, but if you want to stay young just wear safelife level 3a soft armor under your uniform shirt and keep a vest with hard armor in your cruiser. Hard armor is designed to withstand rifle rounds, soft armor is designed to withstand what people normally carry on the streets.
@@vitalityfox Ah bro, no one walks around wearing Level 3 steel plate body armor all day. Patrol is not SWAT. Secondly, the Department issues you your armor before graduation of the Academy, so your suggestion sounds very uninformed. Also many departments have rules on how a uniform should be all the way down to the vest. Maybe you should join an Agency, and then you can see for yourself.
As someone who wears a ballistic vest and duty belt daily for work, I can say yes the position we hold our vest is comfy but also there's usually no room to put our hand in our pockets due to all the gear in the way so we typically use our vest as our pockets
Keeping your hands up and ready to react and defend a sudden attack while appearing calm is smart. I like to cross my arms but one hand up on the chin, casually , but ready to deflect a strike.
I used to be a cop for a few years. The vest is also a good pillow. When you sit in your unit your vest sort of moves up a little like a turtle shell and you just let your head fall down and rest your chin on top the vest. But the vest gets hot, and you're constantly adjusting it, moving it around, pulling the neck part away from you, etc. It's literally like having a turtle shell. Most police vests can stop any handgun, but not rifle. Knife can go through a vest like butter.
Same as "bulletproof" tires, I have them on my crown vic and man they reliable to an extent, only thing that made my tires run low on air was half a wrench 🔧🤦♀️
It's also (at least in the UK) to prove that the officer hasn't hit, or tried to hit you, if they keep their hands on their vest at all times. It's probably phased out now that bodycams are a thing, but in the past with CCTV on buildings it made it more obvious that they hadn't tried to hit you, even if you claim they had
Plus because of the bulk of your mag pouches and other accessories it's hard to hold them out front or cross your arms. It also helps to relieve some of the pressure off your back and shoulders. It's all about being comfortable while having to carry an additional 40 lbs around all day.
Corrections officer here! I hold my vest by the collar just in case I have to throw hands. It looks very relaxed, but my hands are already at the right level to defend and not in my pocket.

Those lights on his best are really nice
My hands get cold, my sweaty ass vest warms them up quick.
Yeah it also works with sailing buoyancy aids even though I keep getting told off saying if I fall my arms aren’t ready to catch me
Ur a cop?
him: good question
You have a vest for your ass? 😂😂😂
Are you allowed to bring your cop car home? So many Likes! Thanks guys! Love the support, why dont you subscribe to the short creator though, and dont like my comment?
there is someone in my neighborhood with a cop car parked so i suppose yes
Yeah he can but he can’t show it due to laws he also can’t show his badge because of his badge number
Depends on your agency. Most of the time no you can not unless you have a K-9 Unit because you have to transport your dog to work and your home
well it would depend on the department
This is the something football players do with chest pads it is honestly just for comfort and looking cool
yuppp I do the same
Facts!! Some of these nerds needa touch grass and play sports!!
was about to comment this lol
Ong I did this too😂
Yup, as a former MP I can personally approve this. Especially the times when it's cold its really comfortable to slide your both hands under the vest from the sides.
We had an inner vest under ACU at my time, but I did the same on my IOTV tho
@@TrumpWonTwice You clearly never worked as a cop or MP lmao
Never wear a wedding ring on duty 😂😆
What I heard too is that they can defend themselves faster with holding their vests than having their arms to their sides.
When I played football in high school, everyone also held onto the gear like that. There’s no other reason other than it just being comfortable
Exactly what I was thinking
It's not just comfortable, if you're wearing a vest and duty belt and stuff, where you have all kinds of gear all over your body, it blocks many of the places you would usually put your hands. You naturally start looking for somewhere to put your hands, and the vest is just the natural place.
It’s like a relaxing position people naturally catch onto
Same thing as football players and their pads, it just relieves pressure and it’s comfortable
A lot of people can say all the crap they want about him doing spin paint but I mean that was just a hobby I’m assuming this man has a family to support and he Stepped up to the call to protect and serve and keep his community safe for his family and all others! In my opinion big props my man ✊🏻💯

And you are ... a student ?😅
@@cyberbutter2686 please don't ruin my comment with your nonsense
It also takes pressure off certain areas that can become irritated orr raw especially on hot days
"Good question" friend! Have a good day..be safe out there..!
Us construction workers do the same with our vests. It's just comfy
Nothing wrong with being comfortable in all that gear, much love & thank you for your service brother 🔥💯❤️
He's lying. It's an intimidation technique. They're showing you that they have tools and they're ready to use them against you.
@@TrumpWonTwicelol, no
Service? Who is he serving? 90% of the people the police arrest are victimless offenders. They rarely catch murderers, realists and especially never catch child molesters. They focus on non victim based offenses like drugs, speeding, burnt out tail lights, prostitution etc. wake up boot licker.
@@TrumpWonTwice Because police want to intimidate everyone, right...?
I dont know they all that tactical bullshit. Time and time again has shown they are not gonna put themselves in danger for anyone. Just go after non criminals to see if any charges stick.
Thank you for your service,
I want to be a police officer when im older,
Or in the Army❤
I did the same thing in the army. It's more comfortable to put your hand inside your vest and if it's really hot out you can kind of get a little bit of air between the vest and your shirt.
Also in the Army I would do the same so my hands were above my waist while talking to someone. It’s a good way to keep your guard up while not looking aggresive
I was going to say. You have to do something with your hands. You may as well be comfortable while presenting a neutral stance. Beats parade rest.
EXACTLY!!!
@@grumpyboomer61 dude, I don’t miss that shit at all! Ten hut!! 😂
Yes
Sapi Plates can be uncomfortable plus if you get heat rash Really itchy.
As an OIF veteran, this is the only correct answer. It's comfortable, and my hands aren't in my pocket. Happy Sarge= well, less grumpy Sarge.
I'm a customs officer. I l hold my vest the way the 2nd position was demonstrated, but there's a reason for that. If someone's aggressive or becoming aggressive, I like to have my hands up to easily defend myself if I get assaulted. (Speaking from experience, it happens.)
Sometimes officers do it take some weight off their shoulders. Tactical vests and body armour have a bit of weight.
Have you ever caught a fan doing a crime?
I'm actually pulling mine away from my body because the damn thing doesn't breath and I'm trying to get even the slightest breeze through it.
Yes sir, and to note that rig looks super tight and hot with no meshing
Yup
Probably ideal for officers to keep the hands away from the belt to keep people at ease I'd imagine
That moment where the fresh air circulates your chest area is amazing. Then you get the BO smell that was stuck in there from 10 hours of sweating lol
@@zachjablonski9466 if I’m pulling my vest away from my chest, I’m to the point of not caring about BO. 😂
I used to also wonder this until I got my own plate carrier. It became obvious very quickly lol
I noticed also that wearing one in work over the full day can be challenging if your very active also and doing this can feel like ventilation on your body and allows you to take a proper unrestricted full deep breath
Not only is it a comfortable way to rest your arms, vests are hot af and making a little gap for air to circulate really helps.
"I'd normally put my hands in my pockets but I can't access them right now." As well as, "It's helping me breathe." Are also top answers 😂😂
Thank you for wearing it, comfortable or not if is for your safety
Keeping your hands up and ready to react and defend a sudden attack while appearing calm is smart. I like to cross my arms but one hand up on the chin, casually , but ready to deflect a strike.
gay ass defense
"Ready to deflect a strike 🤓"
He watched that vid lol of the guy crossing his arm but stroking his chin
@@zeianestraca9429 Mf sounds like Dwight Schrute
There's specific anti stab vest for that kinda thing. It can be worn under the normal vest too.
Few years? What happened?
He's lying. It's an intimidation technique. They're showing you that they have tools and they're ready to use them against you.
Only a few years? Was it that you didn't like the the job?
Comfy, keeps hands warm, does not look at shabby as having the hands in the pockets.
I’m in the military, and i 100% agree
As a police officer, this is so true ‼️ It's hella comfy and helps air to get in-between the vest and the body to help us cool down on a hot day
I’m sorry for your loss…

It's also (at least in the UK) to prove that the officer hasn't hit, or tried to hit you, if they keep their hands on their vest at all times. It's probably phased out now that bodycams are a thing, but in the past with CCTV on buildings it made it more obvious that they hadn't tried to hit you, even if you claim they had
makes no sense. if you have cctv they can just look to see if you hit someone
@@loganfignewton Have you not seen the crappy 2fps cameras most buildings have?
Bro his a real police officer😊
Didn't think this would require an explanation.
Yeah, I love the neck position for me. I think it looks cool, I guess even though I’m not an officer It just depends on what I’m wearing I’ll sometimes catch myself doing that
COs are scum
Do you practice drawing your firearm from the vest holding position?
Being ready to throw hands wont help if someone gets the drop on you.
