Those hotels on 192 really are bad though. It's all extended stay hotels full of people who can't get regular homes. I had to stay in one of them for 8 months one time and the police were out there all the time.

LightCan A few of them have their bad spots and deserve to be here, but the other half are nice places to visit. I currently live in New Port Richey, and this area has some bad spots, but overall is quite nice. Did I mention it’s one of the fastest growing areas in the country, with multi million dollar homes going up left and right.

Back in the day, I worked at WDW one summer between junior and senior years in college and lived in the Kissimmee - St Cloud area. Seemed OK then although clearly overrun with tourists. I remember seeing TV ads later on for vacationing in Kissimmee because of it's central location. What happened to push Kissimmee to the top of the bad list?
It really isn't .. I've been all over Florida. I lived in holly hill, Daytona, Ormond and port orange (all the surrounding areas of volusia county) but yeah. Daytona is dangerous and ghetto.

Yes, that's what I was thinking I just moved to Ormond beach a year ago and haven't seen all of Florida yet but the worst place I've seen so far is def Jacksonville and south Daytona. I saw a lot happen just in the brief stop I made there on the way. I don't think this list is correct at all lol It doesn't mean everyone from the bad areas are bad either, some are just poor and can't get out so I hate casting judgement on places but Jacksonville was def a place I wouldn't want to be long term.

When I was young, there were woods everywhere, not much traffic, much lower crime rate, better schools etc. The most at risk people here are those that are caught up in the drug and crime culture though.
He nailed Daytona though. I remember that place, and not fondly either. Developers and the France family run (ruin?) the city. The shot at 1:45 is of what they call downtown. The last I remember, there was a coffee house I didn't like called Marley's, a Christian Science Reading Room, a Christian coffee house, some antique stores, and a few bad art galleries. The library was nice, that was about it, other than the bridge that brought you over to the beaches.

Those hotels on 192 really are bad though. It's all extended stay hotels full of people who can't get regular homes. I had to stay in one of them for 8 months one time and the police were out there all the time.

LightCan A few of them have their bad spots and deserve to be here, but the other half are nice places to visit. I currently live in New Port Richey, and this area has some bad spots, but overall is quite nice. Did I mention it’s one of the fastest growing areas in the country, with multi million dollar homes going up left and right.

Back in the day, I worked at WDW one summer between junior and senior years in college and lived in the Kissimmee - St Cloud area. Seemed OK then although clearly overrun with tourists. I remember seeing TV ads later on for vacationing in Kissimmee because of it's central location. What happened to push Kissimmee to the top of the bad list?

Belle Glade and Pahokee are hands down worse than Kissimmee and Fort Pierce. I know this as a fact because I used to repo in that area of Palm Beach county and I live in the next city over from Fort Pierce.

Yes, that's what I was thinking I just moved to Ormond beach a year ago and haven't seen all of Florida yet but the worst place I've seen so far is def Jacksonville and south Daytona. I saw a lot happen just in the brief stop I made there on the way. I don't think this list is correct at all lol It doesn't mean everyone from the bad areas are bad either, some are just poor and can't get out so I hate casting judgement on places but Jacksonville was def a place I wouldn't want to be long term.

I’m living in Florida since 2016 and I’ve been up to Kazumi a few times. It actually seemed pretty nice. It’s definitely more expensive than the city I am living in right now. Plus the people also seem better off than Melbourne Florida where I am

When I was young, there were woods everywhere, not much traffic, much lower crime rate, better schools etc.

He nailed Daytona though. I remember that place, and not fondly either. Developers and the France family run (ruin?) the city. The shot at 1:45 is of what they call downtown. The last I remember, there was a coffee house I didn't like called Marley's, a Christian Science Reading Room, a Christian coffee house, some antique stores, and a few bad art galleries. The library was nice, that was about it, other than the bridge that brought you over to the beaches.
