- What is Ralsei? Where did get his prophecy from? What is his connection to Jevil and Spamton G. Spamton? What is his connection to W.D. Gaster?

The idea that Ralsei and the secret bosses were given the same meta knowledge by the same person but Ralsei was the only one to keep his sanity actually makes a lot of sense when you consider their individual backgrounds. Jevil and Spamton were both outcasts to an extent, but they had lives and people they cared about. Ralsei was alone and had nothing to begin with, so the knowledge didn’t break him, but instead became his whole purpose.
I don't think we'll ever get an official Gaster bossfight. It doesn't seem in line with how Toby generally presents Gaster.
Everyone makes theories that Gaster is the main villain of Undertale and Deltarune, that he can control universes/timelines, etc. But for some reason, no one (or almost no one) thinks that someone can control the Gaster itself. After all, he "fell into his creation" in Undertale for some reason, and it was clearly not his will. And the "voice" at the very beginning of Deltarune, which tells the player to create a vessel, and which drove Jevil and Spamton crazy? What if this "voice" doesn't belong to Gaster at all? I really hope that in future chapters Toby Fox will reveal this in more detail.
I respectfully disagree. Gaster undoubtedly has a bigger presence in Deltarune than he did in Undertale
@@jakobmeyers8492 I was talking about _how_ he portrays Gaster, not about _how much._
@@tarvoc746 I was implying that due to Gaster having more presence in Deltarune, it's more likely than nothing that we'll see a fight
@@jakobmeyers8492 It's more likely than it was in Undertale. I'm not saying it can't happen. I just don't _think_ it'll happen.
Another connection that Ralsei has with the secret bosses is their relation to theme parks as Jevils prison cell being a carousel, The castle basement where you fight Spamton NEO having a rollercoaster like track and finally castle town in chapter 1 is described by Susie as looking like an abandoned theme park.
I'm so glad someone else besides me FINALLY noticed Ralsei's connections to Gaster through the prophecy.
in conclusion we shouldn't let ralsei cook
Although the shadow crystals are quite interesting, and there's something up with Ralsei, I have doubts that the secret bosses are important just because of the prophecy. Both Jevil and Spamton have significant themes of freedom, which is important for the Kris/Player storyline. My personal "fanfic theory" is that Shawm got acces to the vessel, and is using the crystals to power it. And when it activates, it'll be a soulless creature, similar to Flowey: no feelings, no empathy, only stuff that the player added in the vessel creation scene, and a dream of ripping Kris's Soul out and use it to become an ideal vessel for the player. After all, it was created to serve you.
That said, this is quite a big leap in logic. It'll probably not happen, but if it does then I might just go insane.
What if some darkners are so powerful they can just ignore turning to stone? Seam has seen queen before and Jevil hints at her being incredibly powerful so she might be so strong she can’t be turned to stone. Perhaps Ralsei follows the same principle. He can use sleep mist when we can’t do that in battles so he has more power than he lets on. What if Ralsei is just a really strong darkner?
It’s possible for him to have a sort of tranquilizer projectile which makes targets unconscious regardless if they’re tired or not. Doesn’t matter how much HP you have.
But something more likely in a serious climactic fight against him that you can’t damage him or his ally enough because his healing is too powerful. And this makes him able to outlast you.
Similar to the Spamton NEO fight.
Even if you perfectly dodge all of his attacks you’ll be spending a lot of energy moving around to do it. And inevitably, you’ll be tired out, and be vulnerable to his pacify spell. Like an inverse to the Sans fight in undertale.
I think that there's more chance of Ralsei becoming a maint antagonist of one of the chapters, but he has some secret boss atributes too, so I wouldn't be shocked if he will find his own alternative for NEO body or something
He will fuse with the ralsei dummy and become Ralsei 2
@@phoenixsenju8984 and his theme will be called "RALSEI!!!1!!!1"
I would cry
bold of you to assume that only "Lighters" and "Darkners" exist.
It's certainly an interesting idea to imagine someone that is neither Lightner nor Darkner, but I don't remember there being any implication that there exists such an entity. I think that's going a little too deep into fanfic theory territory.
@@stef__an
In Undertale, Flowey was technically neither monster nor human. Possibly similar to the amalgamates. A hybrid creature, if you will.
Ralsei might be something special, like Flowey was.
@@stef__anGaster
Flowey still can't exist in Deltarune because Asriel is at college and will never die.
I also doubt there's anywhere Gaster will get Determination since we only see Kris for the human race
@@phoenixsenju8984 Gaster is a Lightner. Yes, Gaster is related to Darkness but he is a monster. Gaster will also not be anything similar to an amalgam because the core doesn't exist and Gaster never fell into his own creation.
This is only if Gaster exists normally rather than being shattered across time and space
0:21 "shed some *light* on today"
More connections with Ralsei and the secret bosses. I love it!
Something that could be cool is that in the normal route- Spamton neo is optional, but mandatory in the weird route. If we get to fight ralsei, his fight being mandatory in the weird route would fit since he favors pacifism, and would likely try to stop the player.

its not just ralsei who dosent turn to stone its also OG starwalker and technically jevil...

OH BOY DO I SMELL A NEW DELTATUNE THEORIST?
truth about Ralsei: he is a mercedes benz
Long comment alert, if you guys don’t like long comments, this one is worth ignoring.
This is a pretty good first theory, I remember I had a similar idea where the person who created Deltarune came up with the story but didn’t think it was interesting enough so they tried to insert themself into the story by telling their characters that they were in a simulation leading them to madness (Of course I am talking about Jevil, Spamton and some other secret bosses in the future). The creator had a great idea however because they thought “What if the guide and tutorial character betrayed the main character later down the line?” So the creator reached out to Ralsei in hopes that Ralsei fulfils his side of the deal, told him a little bit of knowledge but not enough to go insane and gave him a little drop of power like teleportation (Being able to travel across dark worlds) and durability (being able to survive in said dark worlds without turning to stone).
When I mean the person who created Deltarune, not actually Toby, the fictional character who created the fictional story of Deltarune using some save and load power, maybe with Determination or a SOUL but basically some character who created the world of Deltarune who is probably Gaster.
A theory this fits into is the choice theory where you either have to choose between Ralsei or Noelle. I won’t talk a lot about it here because Mysticslime made a video on it but it seems like Noelle is going to try defying the prophecy which Ralsei doesn’t agree with and so you are going to have to choose either Ralsei or Noelle to stay in your party. Funny thing is, you can’t program 4 characters into your party in Deltarune using hacking, the max characters you can have in one party is 3 meaning someone will have to go.
Another theory this fits into is Chess Theory and if Chess is a game about White vs Black AKA Light vs Dark, that could mean Lightners vs Darkners. Chess Theory was made by Ossy Flawol. So if it is Lightners vs Darkners, shouldn’t Ralsei be on the other side, Ralsei is a Darkner after all. We had to defeat all the enemies in Chapter 1 including Lancer using physical violence or mercy but regardless, the enemies in Chapter 1 are off the board… except for one, King! You see, King is locked up in Ralsei’s castle meaning Ralsei owns the key, Ralsei may have told King about his plan to defeat the Lightners from the inside by joining them and if things go south, Ralsei will let King out. This may be how Ralsei intends on betraying the Lightners.
Also I forgot to say this, if King was defeated, the game would be over since it is checkmate
HOLD UP GUYS. LOOK AT HIS SUB COUNT.
THE EDITING WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD! YOU EARNED A SUB!
I smell underrated youtuber.
Also I just realize that: If you Rearrange the Ralsei name together, it becomes Asriel
And Asriel dreemurr is Serial Murderer. Of all the ways to spell dreemurr why 2 e's, no a, and 2 r's
@@ef3353 Maybe. Just maybe.
I've posted my personal crackpot theory elsewhere, but here it goes: Ralsei is a creature similar to Flowey or Flowey himself. Flowey was a soulless being given Determination, not quite alive. So, what would happen if he entered a dark world? He'd probably be in Ralsei's position. Also, this could explain Ralsei's weird attitude towards how Kris feels, as he might be struggling with emotions as a soulless being. Also Flowey could basically teleport between fountains like Ralsei somehow does in Chapter 2.
Okay but hear me out: only when the roaring happens do the three heroes appear. the three heroes have appeared. the roaring has already started, its just that the prophecy doesnt specify how long it is for chaos to reign over the land
ralsei is a titan
@@SobreDunasbut then who is the third hero
@@funnybones98 also ralsei. A human, a monster, and a titan. Seems more fitting than "a prince of the dark" ngl
@@SobreDunas yeah, but it defies game logic in sense that ralsei is helping them, as he says that they wreak havoc.
@@SobreDunas I actually think Ralsei’s an angel cast down from heaven. Here’s my evidence:
*Ralsei has devil motifs with red horns and a goat-like appearance.
*He knows about Kris’ soul from the tutorial.
*He seems to specifically be a cherub looking at 2 dictionary definitions. One says they are depicted as “A lion or bull with eagles’ wings and a human face,” similar to the goat appearance as stated before. Another says cherubs are “Beautiful or innocent-looking” children. And does Ralsei look like he could hurt someone?
*Ralsei knows about the prophecy and LITERALLY wants to banish the angel’s heaven.
I don’t think Ralsei’s evil. He either disagreed with what the angel was doing or the angel is a more malicious entity than we thought.
Very well made! You’re making me even more excited for chap 3-5
I can’t wait for Toby to just debunk every theory ever with a single sentence for the funny in the next chapter
Ralsei is for sure a devil...
But is siding with the "devil" or "the dark" good?
It seems that the angels are too destructive for them to be considered "good"...
But would the devil fair any better?
Maybe... Maybe not...
Well... Gaster would be the true devil. And we don't yet know his motives.
Very well made and this is interesting to think about
I could see Ralsei being a boss fight at the end of a future weird route, like Spamton NEO.
Side note, your voiceover audio is really quiet. Maybe bump that up a bit? The background music sounds fine.
great video!
I really can’t wait for you to go deep into the lore in your future videos
Algo boost + new sub :)
Happy 100th subscriber! Love your content.
I honestly think Ralsei is being misled by another Lightner.
Kris didn't create Ralsei (as the Castle Town fountain is older than every other and existed before the start of the story we play.
So someone else created Ralsei, but whom?
I believe its Father Alvin, Gerson Boom's son.
Father Alvin wants his father back, as shown by him talking to the gravestone as if he was contemplating doing something.
It is my belief that Gaster tricked Father Alvin by promising to show him how to revive the dead (pretending to be the Angel of his religion) back to life using the dark worlds. And part of the plan is to cause the Roaring. To bring light and dark together.
But the thing is, Alvin doesn't know its a lie yet and neither does Ralsei.
They think they're helping the world, but really, they'll be part of causing its end.
And when the end finally comes, Gaster will be free. **But so will the Titans**
nice i will wait for the next videos
if ralsei was a shadow crystal holder tho
Here's a comment for the algorithm
This was a pretty cool video :)

Underrated video
damn man 3k for the start is great
Like the other darkners being or having light world analogies(playing cards, chess pieces, a stuffed doll, computer disks etc etc), Ralsei is the pair of red horns Toriel bought Kris when he was a little kid so he could be more like his older brother.... the ones he eventually lost somewhere. He took on such a stark resemblance to Asriel because of Kris' association with the horns and who he wished to be like.
I feel like faster was placed on the game literally JUST to fuck with people
Faster?
No, because the idea of Gaster was created before even Undertale and Deltarune
@@TheSkyGuy77 really?

Well the great door did let Ralsie go from castle town to card kingdom so i mean totally possible
True, but the Great Door is just the dark world equivalent of the real door between the closet and the unused classroom. It lets you move between the two dark worlds because they are literally next to each other, separated by a single wall. imo the narration saying "It may never open again" is truthful

it wouldnt be a nice twist at all what
Ralsie might be both
