Man Av, I'm with you! Any truck in the world to choose from, mine would always be an old power wagon like this. 2nd would be an old Diamond T and 3rd would be am old Studebaker. Can't wait to see her done! Thanks for saving her!
Avery, you kick ass. Your laugh is intoxicating. Can't wait to see you and Mike take that trip in that little red convertible. It's going to be like Themla and Louise. Rock on bro.
Love you and Mike you gus know your stuff and are always helping somebody, and love that your not afraid to get your hands dirty not like these other shows with spotless garages and manicured hands
I've used a small propane bbq for temporary indoor heating. The trick is to make sure the burner can be turned down to its lowest setting to avoid getting carbon monoxide. Also make sure that you're not completely closed into an airtight shop. Keep any other flammable and explosive gas and chemicals a safe distance from your propane heater if you're using one inside your garage or shop.
There used to be a yellow power wagon at the shipyard my grandfather worked at. I was about 5 or 6 at the time and I thought that was the coolest truck I'd ever seen. Still looks wicked!
Hello there Avery love the old truck and awesome stuff keep it in good shape I love the American cars and bikes and trucks awesome work guys love it thanks for sharing keep up the great work my friends from far north Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 blessings and cheers 😊
service vehicles are always the best ones to buy when shopping..They may have lots of miles but they were usually always kept up on the maintenece..oil changes and stuff like that..Of course knowing the history helps on who or what outfit owned them originally says allot about the care they recieved..i know i worked for a auto parts store and our delivery trucks we had were well maintained and they always got new parts when the slightest signs or wear would show up..Everyone knows an oil change is the most important service for a vehicle..you do that regularly then the motor will last a lifetime
Avery I remember the power wagon you and Mike did that guy was funny he didn’t want you to touch it. He didn’t even realize the talent you had. Rock on keep up the great work power to the swamp donkey.
The rivets used to make nice divots in the drums if you left them too long, I have also had bonded shoes come unbonded and end up laying inside the drum. The bigger piston bore on the wheel cylinder I assume are for the primary shoes, or the ones toward the front of the vehicle. Back in the day when drums were cool, often the shoes on the front half of the drum had a thicker lining than the back, a primary and secondary shoe
There’s another clue Avery. It’s yellow, it’s Army, its covered in road tar. With that information, I’m guessing runway! I even wonder if the Jack stand they bolted to the front was maybe used to tuck it into an airplane. Just got me thinking when you said road tar. Oh yah, I watched the other transmission video first. You guys are beasts in that cold environment. No wonder when you start, you go full speed. Love it guys. I’ll watch these with joy.
I'm from Québec, Montréal,and I love your show on RUclips and your show before that! You have a lot of talents and personality and I love that!! Continue your good work you are amazing!😅
Pretty sweet those shoes have that clip to hold those shoes in place to where you want them..most vehicles never had those and had pins with little keepers and a pain in the butt to work with..Those adjusters were nice to have too..nothing like those old rubber plugs that you had to pop out to get a screw driver in the slot to adjust the brakes..so much easier to work with those type of adjusters than the old ones they switched over to..Sometimes old tech is better
As the owner of a 1960 W300M PowerWagon (Identical to what you have there), I can sympathize with you... brakes, tranny, transfer case, and axles are all PowerWagon hell. Not to mention the man killer 2-part steel wheels. The old flathead six (85hp?) isn't bad though. And the old body is perfect 1938 dodge truck art.
I know exactly what you’re talking about Avery with the riveted and bonded shoes. My dad has a old machine that’s manual to rivet shoes on for a case back up from the 60s good show.
I like your camera guy Avery, he ask you the right questions about things you are doing, thats coolio.... And that helps those hoopleheads who don't know what you are doing lol.
Favorite video of Mike and Avery, that no video has even come close to it,was the visit to Avery's mom's home.❤

Hello from Colorado, I had a 42 dodge weapons carrier built from 2 vehicles.
