@@bigbongus4908 Well it's not as straight forward... The PS3 version runs smoother and has better graphics, BUT it lacks story mode, gold rush and some other modes like Tekken Bowl. There's also customization differences and Jinpachi is only unlockable on PS3. Oh and online mode was first introduced in the PS3 version, so there's that. So the PS3 version is essentially the one you go for, if you want the more polished version with Online and all Stages and Characters. But the PSP version is better for someone looking for an on-the-go experience and those who don't wanna give up on modes like story mode etc. IMO it's kinda stupid they didn't include the story mode in the PS3 version, that's like the main mode people play first... I also ended up going for the PSP version, because I already had regular T5 and we did a lot of 16h+ car trips on vacations back then and having the option to play Tekken for when the scenery got boring was awesome. The game also still looks great for a PSP game...
The "space colony" stage has a different bgm only in the psp version of Tekken 5 Dark resurrection. The bgm is called "Center of Gravity", and is a remix of the original theme "Orbital move". In PS3 version however, it reuses the Tekken 5 stage bgm (orbital move) from its original counterpart stage "Final Frontier". Btw you should have done Cathedral vs Winter Palace, and Final Stage vs Inferno as well.
I love playing TEKKEN 5 Dark resurrection on ps3, it’s still available today I like to think of these stages as the day and night version TEKKEN 5 being the day version & TEKKEN 5 being the night remix version haha My own little take.
Off of looks alone no music Autumn Temple > Burning Temple ~ The Leaves Motif is a nice touch. Burning Temple has this weird line splitting effect two distorting the characters Urban Jungle > Ghetto Pit ~ The Dark and Metallic atmosphere is better for this stage. Ghetto Pit doesn't hit the same imo Moonlit Wilderness >>>> Great Plains ~ Fighting during the Night and the Moon is in the background. Great Plains is just blah in comparison Final Frontier >>> Space Colony ~ Not shown in the video, the background and the Space Station is on a Much grander scale than Space Colony's Version (I love Space so sue me) Dragon's Nest = Western Gate ~ Dragon's Nest has a dark side so there's some variety. Western Gate has a bridge set aflame and more consistent thunder, these two are about equal for me City at Sunset > City Lights ~ Usually Prefer Night backgrounds but there's less going on in City Lights for me. Aurora Australis >> Polar Paradise ~ Case in point, the Nightly Snow is a wonderful background for me Meteor Shower >> Waterfall ~ The Torches and the Stars falling add a little more to this stage, also the greenery looks worse in Waterfall Pirate's Cove >> Galleon ~ Don't really like either of these stages with those damn coins jingling but nothing much is happening on Galleon based on the video. Meanwhile there is a Ship in the background of Pirate's Cove also the main background looks worse in Galleon too imo. Festival > Acid Rain ~ I prefer some distinction in the backgrounds rather than just a solid color and a slight gradient. Poolside >>> Pool Party ~ Feels like they barely tried for this one, Poolside's sky is empty, but the sun filter is a nice touch, the darker version features less things and is simply uglier imo. Secret Garden > All Hallows Eve ~ Don't like the Halloween Motif applied. Hell's Gate >>>> Heaven's Gate ~ The darkness and the sanguine aura hints at bloodlust and conflict, Heaven's Gate pales in comparison to the atmosphere that Hell's Gate provides Final Stage >> Inferno ~ The Fire tornadoes seem cool in theory but implemented just doesn't do it for me Cathedral = Winter Palace ~ Cathedral is more ominous in the atmosphere, but I love the snow in winter palace, both imposing in nature and ambition with different themes. T5: 8 T5DR: 4 Neutral: 2 Guess I just like original T5 Stages more Bonus : (demonic powers and purple aura Jinpachi is way more menacing than some arsonist on fire)
Moonlit Wilderness is definitely NOT the same place as the Great Plains. the kind of flowers and the building is completely different. Also "Amnesia" can't be compared with "Moonlit Wilderness", not by a long shot. Garden of the Tiger > Dragon's Nest City Light's Call of the Inferno > City at the Sunset Galleon's Tiamat > Prate's Cove. Tiamat rocks so hard! AND POOLSIDE WILL ALWAYS BE SUPERIOR, NO MATTER WHAT! Really, dunno why the made such a horrible music track in Elegance in Violence. Poolside deserved a cooler remix.
I totally agree with you... "Amnesia" sounds like it was rushed down and no efforts were made to compose it. It doesn't even compare with moonlit wilderness. Completely horrible. "Elegance in violence" is just worst of all and it's just noise in the name of music. Totally terrible.
These two games have some of the best stages in the history of fighting games, ever
Tekken 4 is up there too
Forgot Antares VS Winter Palace and Final Stage VS Inferno.
For anyone that doesn't know, you still have all of the vanilla stages in DR.
Only on PS3, the PSP version sadly only had the new stages...
@@marceloguia6107…where else are you gonna play DR?

@@marceloguia6107They proparly didnt do due to PSN Restrictions. But im really disappointed for the PS3 Not being a HOME console
Finally, you got Dark Resurrection.
1:41 The great plains looks like a Frutiger Aerogel stage

Jin VS Hwoarang
Japan VS Korea
Karate VS Taekwondo
I wish more fighting games did this.
How bout Soulcalibur IV vs Soulcalibur Broken Destiny Stages comparisons
Also I love that the outfits got a remix colour version too
Yin and Yang is how I would describe these levels.
Acid Rain had the best glow up
Will there be a Comparison video of TEKKEN Characters' Costumes next?
Probably)

Thank you for this comment) and yeah, i agree that T5 stages are way better than DR
Better tekken 5 at all aspec🔥
What happened to the "heat haze" effect in the Burning Temple stage?
Both great but dark ressurection prefer 👍
classic tekken 5 is better
Why do PS2 & PS3 versions have the same OST for Final Frontier/Space Colony but PSP doesn’t?
Is Dragon Nest from 5 is the same Dragon Nest in 7?
how did you record T5 in 16:9 without stretching it?
isnt it 4:3 native?
You can change the aspect ratio in the emulator )
I prefer the PS2 version over the PS3 version
You can play Tekken 5 stages in Dr!?
Emulator or hardware?
PCSX2 and RPCS3
