Girl. So I watched this. Then I watched it again.. then I watched it ONE more time just to make sure I was really gonna spend 20+ dollars on this same product that has never worked the other 4 times I bought it… I did, indeed, buy it and it has given me the BEST wash n go I’ve had in like 2 years. Shout to the subscriber that suggested and to you for showcasing it. Excuse me while I do my Willow Smith 💃🏾
Hey! Try the curl maker on its own no leave in. It worked wonders! I normally need a leave innfor gels but this one doesn't dry my hair out (the coconut oil ❤) you may get the same results without spending another 20 on uncle funkys
Would you say you get good elongation from it? I noticed my current gel and mousse combo gets me definition but lots of shrinkage. And when it’s dry and u try to stretch it out it just shrinks right back up!!
I mix curl maker and uncle funky's daughter in a Tupperware container...30% cur maker 70% uncle funky's daughter. I air dry for 30 minutes to an hour then use dyson blow dryer with narrow air attachment with cold or just one adjustment for heat. As you suggested can use diffuser, but need to be careful so you can get maximum days wear. This combo is only what I use. Perfect each time. Complete definition and with each day can fluff out with hands. I've been doing this combo for a year. Your hair looks great.

Your hair looks so good. It’s nice and shiny and defined. I’m noticing the Curly Magic is a good base, I just tried the Bee Girl Custard as a topper. So far so good. I’m just not disciplined for sitting under the dryer😩😩😩 Your videos are so relaxing. Thanks for the new combo to try.
Thank you! The Curly Magic is a wonderful base for me. I’m going to have to re-try the Bee Girl Custard in the future again as a topper and a topper only lol. And absolutely 👍🏾
Very nice! I would have never thunk that Curly Magic and the Curl Maker combo would look so good! Like you said, there consistency is similar. Imma have to try it since they are in my stash. Thanks for the video
Your hair looks great! Thanks for sharing. I've only used curl maker by itself once and I got hella gummy flakes even though I used lots of water. I've been afraid to use it since, especially with another (botanical) gel. But I did love the results. I definitely will try this combo
I always thought having a hair twin was kind of corny lmaoo but our hair look and act so similarly that it’s eerie yet cool. 😂 I don’t use UFD but I might try this with kinky curly instead 🤔 and I agree with you on the clumped hair thing. Overly clumped hair snatches up my density
Your results are gorgeous. I thoroughly enjoyed this video, in particular the styling part, as the amount of products to use is always the tricky part. Thanks to you and your suscriber for this combo as I am always on the look out for new ways to use products that I have. As an aside, I always use heat protectant🙂
Thank you. The nuance of products and how to use them properly is where i'm at in my journey. I've learned that I will have to do different things to achieve the results that my stylist does when i'm at home. Do you use the heat protectant before, or after you've applied your stylers?
@@BrittanyMia i wish i was that organized. As for the heat protectant, it depends. I go a bit overboard but it also doubles as a sun protectant😉. I use the Innersense prep love before my styler and the Olaplex bond oil before drying, especially if I use my dryer on a high setting.
Ok I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this combo worked out . I'm trying to finish the curlmaker but I need to try this combos . Your hair is looking great
loveee the results! was it crunchy at all or made your hair dry in any way? btw I love your uploads & always look forward to them! I hope sometime in the future we can be blessed with 2 videos a week.
It was a little but it went away after the first day or so. Thanks so much 🥹 I am working on posting more videos a week, but out of curiosity, what kind of videos are you interested in? More wash and go videos, or more talking videos?
@@BrittanyMia more wash & go vids for sure! Trying different product combos, your olaplex journey.. etc. Maybe you can even start switching up the content by trying to do cute styles w/ your wash&go mid week before you wash it again.
Brittany, is there a specific reason why you double cleanse with two different shampoos? What was the second shampoo you used in this video? Do you prefer to double cleanse every wash day? Do you prefer to double cleanse with the same shampoo or do you prefer two different shampoos? Do you ever use a rinse out conditioner before you deep conditioner now? How do you determine what product to use for your wash days? On what days do you do your regular Reset day/routine and what days do you do your Olaplex day/routine? Like, how does it factor in your monthly or weekly regimen?
On this day I really just double cleansed with two moisturizing shampoos just because. They’re both moisturizing shampoo so it was unnecessary. I typically double cleanse at least once a week, but on midweek washes I’ll only shampoo once. On a clarifying day I like to follow up with a moisturizing shampoo. I like to double cleanse in general. If I’m using a moisturizing shampoo and I feel like I need to cleanse again I’ll go in with that same one or if I have another one in the shower I’ll switch it up. It’s more of a preference at the time deal. I haven’t been, but I may start trying out a rinse out conditioner before the deep conditioner, or maybe after deep conditioner to use as a detangling product and rinse out before I style. I see what I have to do for the week and if I have the space to try something new, then I do. I just pick what I would like to pair, or what people have suggested for me to try and go from there. My regular reset is every Saturday or Sunday. So that’s when I’m using shampoo twice, deep condition and I’m styling. Around Wednesday or Thursday I’ll do a midweek wash and go. As far as OlaPlex, I use that on my reset, day, Saturday or Sunday, every other week. For example, I used all OlaPlex last Saturday, so this Saturday or Sunday will be a regular, whatever I want to use, reset day.
@@BrittanyMia Thank you so much for being so thorough and responsive. Sending 💕! I can’t even put into words how much I’ve learned from you already. I’ve been trying to use up my small stash of products to figure out what my hair loves. Having a plan will help me get through them. This week I did a full Aphogee Treatment with the Curlific deep conditioner (minus the Balancing Conditioner, I must of used it up quicker than the rest of the system or perhaps I wasted it not knowing it’s like water 🤷🏽♀️). Even so, chefs kiss! It fixed a lot of problems for me similar to what you said you experienced in your January reflection. I then used the OGX Restoring Bonding Plex Bonding Cream. I thought I hated this product for a long time but it was great as a leave in when I topped it with UFD Curl Stimulator. It was my first time using UFD and 🙌🏾. I was going to try to top UFD with CR Curl Maker for a stronger hold but I ran out of time and had to just air dry as is. I now understand what you mean by some stylers not having a strong hold. My hair feels light and fluffy and probably won’t last which is fine by me. It’s holding though but is getting more and more shrunken each day. I think I’m going to try using my stylers by themselves first to learn each product before trying combos . This will teach me how to pair them based on how they work alone on my hair or my children’s hair. I’m trying to find a bomb combo for my daughter’s birthday hair. I really want her to love her bday curls so I’m prepping.
@Brittany Mia I used to be on that same schedule too but my products were going by too fast and I can't really afford to keep buying more more often so I'm back to washing my hair once a week and so far so good.
Hey girl! so I did an experiment with curly magic and ecoslay jelloshot and i just had to tell you about it! I ran out of I create hold half way while doing my wife's hair so I switched to jelloshot and it came out amazing! Not sure if you've ever tried it, but I think you should :) Ok back to the video lol.
I had no expectations. I thought it would be super gummy and flaky. But on the hopeful side, I wanted it to be more defined then it would have been with the curly Magic by itself. Beautiful hair😍 I see you separated your curls and I wonder why my hair won't clump🙆 it always, no matter what I do, looks like ramen noodles..no need to separate.. love the clumped look too
Yeah, I’m actually finding that separating my curls as my hair gets longer is defeating the purpose lol. Sometimes when they’re really stuck together, it makes sense to separate, but I’ve gotten to the point where I’m overdoing it and I’m working on finding different methods for volume like using a blow dryer and what not. Thanks!

Yes! Ive done this combo before and I was also very surprised by the results.
Yes this combo is a success❤ i love it

Great results! I've been using Curl Maker as a primer then Curly Magic on top for a while now and it works great!

Just gorgeous! 😍 How is the weather/climate where you live? Do you notice changes with your sets when it rains a lot?
The humidity is around 50% where I live, and causes my hair to get bigger and more shrunken also when it's raining. Thank you 😊
