been in Penestanan countless times, awesome seeing it again as we unfortunately find it just too busy and noisy and moved to Lovina, great work, there are some indeed great little villa's for rent
Great stuff I haven't been to Penestanan as such, only as far as the Blanco art museum. I am looking forward to seeing more areas around Ubud apparently there's a night market which is somewhere to the left side of Ubud. Just asking if you can see the bird cage and them being so welcoming. Oh for the 70s and 80s when in Australia that could have happened and did, a lamentable pathway of bureaucracy we went down.
Hi riverleigh. Penestanan is a great place to stay or even for an hour wander with a bit of lunch at Yellow Cafe with its great view. I'm looking forward to going to the night market myself. Good to see you.
Recent subscriber and really enjoying your videos mate. You come across as a very eloquent and intelligent man, curious to know what has been your line of work in the past?
Hi thewhale. thanks for the sub, and the compliment - although many who know me aren't as generous in regard to my eloquence or intelligence. :) My background is publishing/advertising but I rather disliked it to be honest. Thanks for saying hello, tw.
Hello Wayne, Question: do you now live in Bali full time or are you visiting ? I’m wanting to do some slow travel and ask if you come to Bali do you need a return of forward ticket ?? I believe I can get a 90 day visa..
Hi Tony. I guess I'm what you'd call a regular to Bali. I'll be here this trip at least four months. I come into the country on a Visa On Arrival for thirty days and extend that visa for thirty days when I then have to leave the country and return again. To extend the 30 day Visa On arrival you must show an onward ticket at the point of your extension application which can be done online. At the moment it seems there are still some issues for a few people doing it online as it's a new implementation from immigration department. Because of this, I visit my visa agent 10 days before my first 30 days expires and he handles everything and I receive my visa extension by email/whatsapp a few days later. Using an agent costs me $IDR800,000. There are other visas available like a SOSBUD which allows you 180 in total, this particular visa needs to be applied for from outside Indonesia and requires a local sponsor, relevant forms, bank statement etc. You can also apply for a 60 day visa at you home Indonesian consulate before arrival which also requires bank statement and application forms and I don't recall if this visa can be extended. Hope this helps, Tony. Cheers
Entire villa, steven - two bedroom, two bathroom, pool etc. I don't think it's to badly priced considering what many of these types of places are now going for in Ubud.
@@fiascodagama1 thanks. You mentioned in the video that one bedroom is bigger than the other. So perhaps a $400/$600 split. Just thinking out loud. Nice property.

What about the sickening bali belly. Yeah thats very soothing
Thanks Wayne.
You're welcome, Mac.
Wow a Balinese Starling. I saw a pair of these rare & endangered birds on a walk in the National Park
Oh, I didn't notice.

Hi silvio. One side of Penestanan seems to have become a lot busier than I recall also. Thanks for dropping by.
I think I might go for a walk around Penestanan after seeing your video during one of my Ubud stays.
Hi phillip. Really nice area to walk, take lunch, and relax in peaceful surrounds. Always good to see you, phillip. Thanks.
Pak, I never miss your videos 😁
You're very kind, erilaguilera. Thanks.

What a wonderful find. Can anyone rent this?
Yes, anyone can rent it. My friend has it for the next six months but there are others.
@@fiascodagama1 thank you.
Interesting. Is that $1000/month for the one apartment or the entire Villa?

I thought you had moved for a minute . . . be careful, you might get spoiled by that AC!
It'd be easy to get used to, David, you're right. A/C, pool...it's good to have good friends. Good to see you, David. Cheers.
For two people , price would be okay
