Thanks for sharing - I'm assuming the final shots were the "BEFORE"? Pretty scary - were the timber floors new? Did you have a shot of the exterior before - when do you know if you need a new roof (besides the obvious?!) We have the kind of metal roof which looks like pan tiles with a rough surface which attracts moss, etc., can you clean that (tricky as it's steep pitch 2-sty) & repaint or better to renew?! Have you any other vids of your work/projects? :)

      G'day, thanks for watching.
Yes, final shots were the condition I purchased the property in. The timber floorboards (tas oak) were original condition and are typical of most weatherboards in Tasmania.
In terms of the roof, if budget allowed I would have had it replaced, however, in this case it was pressure hosed to remove flaking paint and then sprayed. Bit of a bandaid solution really. I couldn't give you any helpful advice on your own roof though I'm sorry as I'm not too familiar with what you've got!
There are two other videos you can find on my channel that may give you a better idea of the original exterior too as well as the original listing I've linked below with a couple photos.
As this is an ongoing project I'll post a few future videos here as things progress too. Hope this helps & good luck :)

Hi. Can I ask how much work you did yourself and how much the builder/tradies did? I just want to have an understanding of how much you saved on labour costs. As I'm not a tradie i would have to have almost everything done by a builder/tradie on a project such as this. Thanks for sharing your renovation experience.
