This Save Act is fairly new, and Congress wants to get it over the finish line by adding it to the budget bill, to my understanding. I think it’s a good plan. If the Democrats don’t pass it in the Senate, then it’s on them for not passing the Congresses budget bill.

The Constitution already forbids non citizens from voting in National elections. Since states manage elections they can develop their own rules for state elections.

To be clear, all federal benefits MUST be approved by the Speaker of the House. If Speaker Johnson DOES NOT approve your benefits then you don't get shyt.
So the Republicans want the SAVE Act but they MUST return our SNAP food benefits for everyone in the continuing resolution as a condition to get past Senator Chuck Schumer.
