I have a Fingerhut card. I only shop during Christmas. I didn't know they had a clearance section. I now see how low the prices are when you shop on cearance.
Positives it can help a family out in a pinch at Christmas, they offer credit for their products to most people, the negatives Overpriced merchandise, they raise and lower your credit limit forcing you to buy something or they decrease your line, their customer service is in a foreign country, high-interest rate if you do not pay the item off in full. My main positive is they can offer a chance when no one else will but it is for a high price. The main negative is they do not tell you your credit will be damaged with a negative point of having a consumer finance account.
With the high prices & high shipping costs, I can barely use my Fingerhut card. They keep sending me credit limit increases, but I can't afford to shop with them.

Yes FH can boost your credit, but at a cost.
I only shop clearance items. It saves you a lot of 💲💰💲💰💲💰💲💰
Very pricey but can build good credit.
