855th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron personnel from Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, provided aircraft maintenance for the 66th Rescue Squadron during the exercise.

30 years ago I was a Sikorsky Ch-3e crew chief. It has not changed its still a good job as long as you can AVOID toxic Airman and Sargent's.

In special hangers they take them apart and see if any parts are damaged or broken and replace them not that amazing its just logistics that's the hard part

I've been wondering why military helicopters need to taxi instead of what was intended it to be, to vertical take off

If the helicopter is fully loaded and fueled, you save fuel by using ETL (Effective Translational Lift) to help get off the ground. For that you need forward airspeed while you gently apply collective, especially hovering out of ground lift it uses a lot of fuel and military often have to fly to the very limit of their range so saving fuel makes sense.
It's similar to the fact that max speed statistics aren't determined with a full load, either. Yes, it can go X fast, but with a lighter load. And yes, it can take off vertically, but it's a whole lot easier with a lighter load.
