I’m experiencing this so hard core right now. I’m glad I’m not the only one. My sheets get drenched with sweat at night. And my sweat smells so weird.

I experienced this for a long time in recovery! I was also really perplexed by it. It balanced itself out and stopped after a while!

I have been referring to my recovery as my second puberty now for a little while because one day I just started stinking like a teenage boy again. People commented that it was weird how much I had that teenage boy stink so ever since then yeah the name stuck.

I remember going through a really sweaty stage during my recovery. Like hypermetabolism as Tabitha said..... I think it's normal and the endocrine system needs to settle down, but get checked out as Tabitha says... Also are you on any new medication which could be causing it?!

I am not a doctor either but I think i sweat a lot at night because i eat more at night and my body has nothing else to do but to sweat to burn some of that energy. I usually never sweat... and never smell but i can smell my sweat at night, and it's not very glamourous... I do feel that my body is starting to sweat a bit less at night recently and seems to regulate a bit better.

Food also had a thermic effect i.e the body's temperature rises during digestion. Couple this with being in bed and you've got sweat there buddy

@@marklong2409 I know i get cold when i dont eat enough but i also get cold during digestion sometimes, i think it s because the energy is going towards digesting the food instead of keeping me warm... not a doctor again so i m just making things up ;)

@@eleonoreconstant yeah I'm just making it up as well, aren't we all? We never know what our bodies are doing during recovery really, just gotta trust it. Best of luck!

I sweat a lot at night during recovery. And it was after I had put on weight. It did go away after a while.

I had this through recovery and then also after - I had everything checked out and they couldn't find anything wrong. I have a theory that it might be anxiety while I'm asleep (I have really bad night terrors sometimes), and would always wake up soaked.

I ate 3 big unmeasured bowls of cereal today as well as other meals and snacks. Why am I so hungry? I never ate this much before and usually get full very easily, but today I’ve been ravenous and honored cravings and hunger. It’s really scary and I don’t like eating “unhealthy”

Hi I sweat sooo much too.I don’t have mental and physical hunger anymore and I gained so much weight .I only sweat day time when I am working (I work physically).I thought that I sweat so much because I am obese now so there is a reason but I have noticed that other people who are big too don’t sweat like me.It is so emabarrissing.I wantied go to the doctor but I will know what he will tell me…I am obese and have to loose weight than I will stop sweat .

i’m currently going through the same thing…i thought it was because of the weight gain too, but it didn’t make sense…i’m excessively sweating walking 1 mile in 30 degree weather…it makes no sense

What about absence of sweating with/and/or frequent urination during recovering?

    • @kellykingism

I can't speak for anyone else, but those are things I experienced during restriction, rather than recovery.

Stinking but no sweat and excessive urges to urinate

Wow, making the excess sweating stop within 2 days was so much more than I expected, I went with what I talked about last week and after the first day or so I was very surprised to start feeling much more comfortable and dry! I went ahead and go'ogled the latest by Cynthia Yulesin and my self-confidence has never been higher!
