I’d still like to find out why some people just don’t get extreme hunger in recovery . I’m overweight now through recovery and my hunger still leads me to eat around 3500 cals per day. I would be starving on 2400 per day. Does anyone have any ideas/ theories .?
How did she know when it was time to end the recovery phase ? I am currently trying to recover and my weight keeps going up. I don’t have anywhere close to check my metabolic rate.
Well in our case we know based on when someone's metabolic rate is healed and when their body composition is all within normal limits. Then of course, we have to determine where they are from a mental standpoint with obsessions/behaviors etc. It really takes looking at the full picture and can be person specific.
1541 was the predicted (based on a calculation) resting metabolic rate for this person. So it would be an estimation of how many calories they needed completely at rest. The bar next to it was what we actually measured was their Resting Metabolic Rate so this person's needs at rest by the end was up at 1900+!
Not necessarily, there are plenty of people at higher weights will low metabolisms. Hers came up from both eating enough and restoring weight and lean mass.

Maybe they weren't restricting for as long as so dont need as much internal repair work to be done?

1541 calories a day seems really low. Am I misunderstanding what this number represents?

Wouldn’t her BMR naturally become higher because she weighs more?
