These lenses are honestly hard to beat. I’ve had the Mercurys in my possession for a few months now and I kinda use the Remus as a secondary lens set to the Mercurys. So anytime I don’t want to harm the Mercurys, the Remus come into play. Or if B cam needs a similar focal length, Remus. Or if we need a gimbal setup, Remus. Or when we jsut want a smaller form factor rig, Remus. Or when I don’t want to mess with a matte box, Remus. Or when we’re jsut doing something more low key, Remus. You literally can’t get anything better for the price!
Didn’t realize that was AI, sounded real!!! Also I love when filmmakers show the script with the shot, such a cool way to see what was planned vs what actually got filmed.
The voice narration and white box with the subtitles were a unique creative attempt that just didn’t work out. All I could think about is how distracting it actually was. If you just left it as is, the short film would have pulled me in much quicker. The man narrator ‘s voice also didn’t seem to fit so maybe that’s why I didn’t like it. The girls voice was fine. The cinematography is amazing though and the sound design. Good job with that
Interesting, I binge watch videos on IG that do this all the time and in reality that's where I got the idea from. Like they'll show a scene from the movie The Batman and the script underneath and it's cool to see how actors deviate from the script and impromptu their performance. Also it's fun to see how a script describes things but then when you watch it certain things are different. But appreciate the feedback and thanks for your comment!
@@mondobytes I see those videos too, I think they are great for films that are already known. It’s like BTS and looking into the production from another perspective. For this film though, given it’s my first time seeing it, I definitely would have preferred to see the film itself, and perhaps this script narration fusion as it’s own separate video. I wasn’t able to immerse myself into the visuals, acting, etc - which were phenomenal by the way!
Fanatic lens review Armando! Nicely shots. FX3 still holding up after all this time. Love the Blazar Remus lenses. I had my set since launch. Closeups are not an issue… just use a diopter. I’m excited to see the Cato 2x lenses later in the year also. Have you shot with them?
Nice work Armando! When do you think Sony and Canon will start putting 1.5x in camera. Couldn't believe the new C400 didn't have that in the Cinema OS.
So I just purchased BLAZAR LENS Remus 35mm T1.6 S35 1.5x Anamorphic Lens, but if I wanted to use it with my FX3 or FX6, do I have to get an adaptor with the "speed booster"? I currently have it set up with my FX30. But I'm new to this Anamorphic lens category. What do I need to watch out for if I want to use it with the FX3/FX6? Thanks in advance.
I have been looking for a great price lens with character! I have the FX3 right now. What you created look great and now I want to pick up theses lens now!
I thought the VO was terrible. When someone can read the text into software the "exact way" it should be read with affect, then the VO does it better with the right voice, then you have something. It was so flat. I tried it on a redo with a video I shot just to see. It was okay. Not there yet. It's way easier to tell a person the nuance you are looking for.
The voice narration and the white bar at the bottom with the script was really annoying and distracting. It ruined the short film. Very bad choice. The lenses look great though!
No Official store in Germany, need to buy from second distributor and they charge couple hundred more then the actual price. If they have it a set in Amazon like Sirui did, I will buy it in a second.
I'm in Sweden and ordered mine directly for Blazars web page. It usually goes faster than ordering through a local store if they don't have them in stock that is. I believe the shipping was 2-3 days from Blazars storage to Sweden.

Aivascope! :P
Barrel distortion is delicious
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema haha it’s cool at times but sometimes I prefer a clean image.

This talking head looks so great. Have these lenses packed in my bag right now flying to Seattle for a shoot , 10/10 agree on the quality
@@BradyBessette thanks brother! Yeah these are perfect for travel because they’re so small !
How can we see the original film by the director ? Can’t find the Link in the description
Hey great stuff bro love your work. What adapter did u use to mount the lens on fx3?
We just shot a music video with one of these attatched to a Lumix S5, loved it!
I bet it looked amazing especially because you can use Open Gate!
Nice lens review Armando 👍🏼
Beautifully shot!!!
Yeah, Skylar and team did an amazing job!
very good! Would you know how the distortions of this lens react or appear on the Panasonic GH7 camera, on the micro 4/3 sensor?

Can these be used with canon Ef mount? For example on my canon c200?

Soon it will be rip filmmakers also. Oh I forgot, youtubers also promoting AI LOL.

Yeah that was a terrible decision.
Yeah, I didn't understand that either. Had to pause the film, couldn't finish it lol. Such a weird decision.
@@willvazquez3218 I think he was showing the advertisement with artlist. What you can do with the voiceover feature. But it was still distracting.
Honestly I love when people show the script alongside the actual film so you can see the script vs what actually happened.
@@Howdyp770 Same I watch a ton of IG videos that show real films, but I guess it wasn't for everyone.

Time to play the lottery 😂
man the white narration box was so distracting, I couldn't even finish the video :\ even tho it looked so goooood!
