Lisa Su is the only CEO in tech I have ever thought was an amazing and caring person about where she works and she is an engineer in this field. She knows grunt work and she knows how to get things rolling.
AMD doing all the right things in my book, it took them awhile to get back to a working strategy. But now that they have the process lead over intel the field is wide open for them.
i bought in to this stock at 12 then again at13.50... this stock is an absolute monster of a stock. if i plateaus right here, i woulda already made too much money off it. this woman is a titan

@@regenen slight correction, but close enough. Su and Nvidia's co-founder and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang are close relatives. Su’s grandfather is Huang’s uncle
I have been following AMD for a few years now and this year I have focused my *pattern* day trading around AMD and it has been treating me well. I love that her mindset and convo ends with looking towards the future. She is humble and will continue to help AMD grow its market share and its revenue. :)
I really want amd to put out gpus that really compete with nvidia, because that’s will be when we really see huge leaps in performance and also better pricing
Like she says, They;ve always been great on compute power. Like no one can touch their APU's. INtel? NOpe, Nvidia? They didnt even try. Its all about execution. They have the tech power, just not delivering it correctly into their chips. VERY MUCH looking forward to their ZEN lineups and Navi
Screw EA , this is what a good female rolemodel is. Anyways , R.I.P. Vega .... your failure was was the nutrient rich soil and water that Ryzen needed to be birthed. Your sacrifice will live on in our wallets.
Already up +160% but could've been way higher if i kept my shares back when it was ~$2/share. This stock will rock and possibly reach triple digits in the upcoming yrs while they'll be taking market from Intel. Enjoying the ride and will DEFINITELY take advantage of ANY dips to grab more shares along the way.
I bought shares at 26$ its hitting 33$ really hoping for them to hit 40 in a couple months here.. Amd should catch intel.. microsoft and sony believe in Amd. Next consoles beast mode AMD tech.
She is doing a great job! AMD's profits are only going up. Disappointing that she said nothing concrete on the radeon/nvidia competition question though. That is the very worrying part of the business where they are not doing well and not executing properly.
Ryzen is only here today because Vega took the shot to the chest for it. If you followed closely during the Fury X era all the way to Vega coming out after Ryzen then it became very obvious which one was given a big budget cut. Vega has cool tech yea , but Ryzen is where they put their money and its paying off. Navi might end up on par with nvidia for cheaper or slightly ahead and its really only because of Ryzen's success.
@@DeosPraetorian ya but AMD in the last few years is investing properly into R&D, it"s just that it takes time to show results. In the past nvidia could never really get far ahead of them despite much higher R&D. But a few years back before RTG AMD made some bad bets thinking discrete GPUs are dying and APUs will take over. So they underinvested in this and are paying the price now. They were also making losses then. Since then they rectified it and they will come back, the question is when. If not with Navi then probably Arcturus.
Left for some people, they will never reveal the secret of their success to others just like Mr Bernard Thompson has been doing for some years now, i am sure we are all smiling today due to his great strategy which has returned all traders back to winning ways, Thank you Bernard for your great help, am on my way to my first Million.
Lisa talked sensibly but Jim Cramer showed his deep ignorance on the matter by keep repeating the falsehood that AMD is supposedly currently "running circles around Intel" and that Intel "needs to catch up". That is so wrong and so misleading. Intel is still in the lead. In both performance and process technology. Just AMD managed to become relevant again by closing the gap and by undercutting Intel in pricing. But in terms of raw performance Intel's equivalent offerings are about 30-40% faster. Also Intel's cpus are being manufactured in a superior process technology. Intel's 14nm++ process is well ahead of AMD's "12nm". Just because AMD (Global Foundries) named it "12nm" doesn't mean it is better than Intel's. That would be like saying 50 degrees Celsius is cooler than 100 degrees Fahrenheit because 50 is a smaller number than 100. That's not how it works though. The truth is that on Intel's scale the "12nm" of AMD would've been called 16nm+. And TSMC's "7nm" is what will be competing (in terms of density) against Intel's delayed but upcoming 10nm.
Alex Marin but if you know anything about CPU, you should know that moore’s law is dying, and AMD Zen is completely new architecture & better than intel monolithic architecture, and will get better with time, whereas intel monolithic architecture id already maxed out, did you ever thought y intel is delaying 10nm from past 2 yrs? Ok for your knowledge let me tell you, Intel can’t produce high yields with their architecture on 10nm(i do believe intel 10nm is on par or better than TSMC), intel can compete with AMD on low core counts, but can’t compete in high core counts, becoz high core on monolithic architecture on 10nm will produce bad yield in comparison to AMD MCM architecture, i think intel will be at par or little better than amd at gaming with very high price chips, but definitely can’t compete with AMD in server space with high core count.....

ryzen 4 or 5, imagine 7 ghz 64 cores... for normal users... thats technology not monopoly .
Actually I’m pretty sure what I’d imagine is still about 5ghz, but much greater IPC for 20-30% more efficient clocks and more thermal efficiency.
