At the end, was it showing that the husband was apart of the robbery? I found it strange how he was able to push a button that a worker would know to help his wife..

No, it was just showing that although he looked for the key, because of everything that happened, it wasn’t in plain sight. Had the key been where he expected it to be, he wouldn’t have felt so guilty.
