Well I made your crocheted rolled brim hat. I had to change a few things. Firstly my wool was a bit thicker than yours and I used a smaller hook 5.00 to be exact to tighten up the structure. I did single crochet for the roll up to make it firmer but was not crazy about the loosey goosey wave going on with the brim due to the increases. when done . I also did a row of reverse crochet to try and balance out the unevenness. Didn't come out too bad. I know this is just a basic pattern but even your pink demo for the video has a very wavy brim.
I just finished watching your easy to follow tutorial and will definitely make it and when finished I shall # your name as I do with each hat tutorial I follow on my FB/Instagram pages. Thank you for sharing ⚘️😊
Thanks for sharing. What a super simple and quick way to create such a cute hat. Your instructions are so easy to follow and adjust to what I need. I can't wait to make a few of these for my family and friends.
Hi, just wanted to say thanks. I used your instructions to make my daughter a hat and it turned out really cute. I put a nice flower on the side and it really finished it off. I will definitely be making another one.
Cheers for this, I've been looking for "flapper dresses history" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Panadarson Flapper Falbala - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my cousin got amazing success with it.
I can't wait to make this hat. I'm so happy right now. I'm just still confused about how to figure out when to stop increasing. I have a big head and an afro. What should I measure to figure out how many increasing rows I should make before I start working on the length? Thanks again
Hi, lol I Love your comment!!! Thank you! Measure from the center of your forehead all the way around, a full circle. Not too tight, you don't want to flatten your afro :) Thank you for commenting!!
@@k.bellajolie I did it. I made the first one and tried to accommodate my head size but didn't take into account the stretch. So the first hat is sooo big. It looks more like a Bob Marley hat. Then I made the second one and did it exactly how you have it in the patten. I didn't do the optional 8th row. The second hat is so good. Can't wait to wear it out.
Yes, but the bulkier the yarn the bigger the hat might turn out. So, maybe work some of the increase rows regular without the increases to keep the sizing right. Thank you for watching and your question!
Hi, Usually I use a scrap piece on yarn to keep count, but I guess I didn't remember for this vid. Sorry about that. You can use a scrap piece of yarn and movie it from front to back before starting each row. Thank you!
I know how to keep count where the round ends. Im asking how to you end the project. Since you dont slip stitch there will be that bump of a half double crochet. I figured out my way but others like my sister-in-law who is not an experienced crocheter cant understand how to end the project with out that stitch just sitting there like the project is not finished. But like i said figured out my way.
Hi I'm trying to make your hat, but I seem to make the top of the hat quite bulky like there is to many stitches an I've counted each row for row, where am I going wrong 😩😩😩😩
Thank you so much for commenting! I'm Sorry you're having a problem! It might be the yarn, But you can try working the first 2 or 3 rows and work the next row without increasing, and continue on with the increases. That will space out the increases and keep the hat from bunching. Sometimes it's just too many increases too close together. Please let me know if adjusting the pattern works out for you. Thank you for watching and working the pattern!

@@k.bellajolie Thank you. So that circumference will be the max point. Thanks. Afros will be flattened during the making and wearing of this hat 😂

Super bravo
Thank You!!!!!
If I use a bulky yarn, should I measure the crown in order to get proper size for my head. Love the way you explain the pattern.ty
Definitely, if it is getting too big you can stop the increases sooner to keep it from getting oversized. Thank you for commenting
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN MAKE THIS CLOCHE /FLAPPER FOR THE WINTER WITH 2 STRING OF SUPPER SAVER YARN
Yes, but the bulkier the yarn the bigger the hat might turn out. So,

Since you dont slip stitch after every row how do you end the last round? I think i found a way to do it but you should add that to your video!

Your not from Brooklyn by any Chance?
Lol!
I'm a Brooklyn girl but live in California now, hearing you I felt like I was home. Love this hat, gave one to a friend she loves it as her go to hat.
