They were compared heavily to BMTH in their early days and they hated it so they decided to get more experimental and really found their sound in Death of Peace of Mind as well as Noah refining his cleans and really pushing his vocals to its limits in that album.
I started out with DOPOM and thought they were very unique and had a solid sound going. Then I listened to their earlier stuff and immediately thought of BMTH (not in a bad way tho). I am so happy that they have found a sound that fits them so well.
It's mad how Noah considers this to be a time where he couldn't sing for shit. Which is why there was more screaming, gritty vocals and spoken word delivery on the first album. Just goes to show how good of a vocalist he is and how he has always pushed his standards, because his vocals here are still really fucking good.

Noah is absolutely a better singer and kills live every time I see them.

I feel liked they found their niche. I still enjoy listening to all their albums. So good. They have become a stand out band to me. Love them!
