My mother & Noah's mother were lifelong best friends. His mom was pretty toxic honestly and he was orphaned at an early age. He's been through some extremely tragic events in his life for sure. I'm proud of him.
Yes, if he became an orphan at 15, having just his grandparents, dropped out of school and made this band, and became one of the best vocalists in this genre, he battled depression and didn't give up, so you shouldn't give up either! 🥺🤍
Seriously so many people have been sleeping on these dudes! So glad after all these years listening to them that they are starting to blow up! They deserve it. Super talented band and Noah is arguably the best vocalist out there right now!
I can concur on the best vocalist. He can do so many things. And also helps produce the records. I’ve been in love with his voice, he kills choruses. 🤘.
yes we have been sleeping on them and i am so sad because they played a real small venue in a city like 20 min from me where i was working and i missed it in 2018 🥲🥲
@@dv8nxs944 Hey that's cool if you dont feel that way, but I do. I listen to tons of music and go to countless live shows. Noah's vocal range is insane. As melodic and spot on as he can be with his vocals and then flip a switch like that to hit the super low growls or high screams. Its flat out amazing. He's a super talented dude!
When I first heard this son I straight away made connection with Chester, the line “if you need a place to hang your head” is one of them but also “you’d be a better memory alive rather than not” I think references “Leave Out All The Rest” where in the choruses Chester sings “And when you’re feeling empty, keep me in your memory leave out all the rest”. Also Noas vocal delivery in the last part screaming “I’m not giving up” is very similar to Chester’s screams, so those three things had me go… It has to be about Chester no way it’s accidental.
Holy shit, I never knew this was about Chester. Makes the lyrics hit that much harder 😞💜 Alex, thank you for the kind words of encouragement and for being a light in so many people’s lives! I love your reaction videos and I love how much you love this band! As far as recommendations go, I say Glass Houses, Exit Wounds, and Mercy (both original and unplugged).
The fact that this song was written after Chester hanged himself does not necessarily mean that it is only about Chester's suicide. Personally, I think this song can relate to anyone who has a wish to end their life with a noose around their neck.
You HAVE to listen to the official live version of this AND the unplugged version. Not necessarily for a reaction, just bc they're both DAMN good and completely different
i’m getting the lyric “if you need a place to hang your head, a shoulder’s better than a knot, you’d be a better memory alive rather than not” tattooed for a friend who committed suicide. one of my favorite lyrics in general & from them.
i just absolutely love the transition alex went from first starting to listen to metalcore to now loving every song he hears including death metal which tends to be too much for people!
I was able to see them a couple of days ago in Germany, one of the best concerts I've been too. Had goosebumbs the whole time, super intense. Hope I get to see tjem again!
@@suecee i seen wage war in October solo, palaye royale on the 14th of feb with my dad and sisters fiance, going to bad omens 27th with my sister and dad, beartooth with motionless in white on march 14th with my dad
I absolutely love this song. It is definitely one of my favorites in general and by the band in general. I feel like it’s underrated and gets overlooked for sure.
I'm telling you Alex....you HAVE to react to Mercy! I absolutely love this band, but Mercy is still my favorite. The lyrics are deep and just such a banger! You wont be disappointed!
Now you gotta checkout Mercy, Never Know, If I'm There by them, I also suggest their unplugged versions of Limits, Careful What You Wish For, Mercy, If I'm There, and Never Know
We too are on the Bad Omens discovery journey! So glad you're reacting to this band too! We go to see them live next week so need to learn all of their songs by next Thursday 😅
So so happy you checked this one out! Love your message at the end. You still have to hear The Fountain, Glass Houses, Kingdom of Cards, Mercy.... more Bad Omens!!
Holy shit!! I found Alex from your review of Hi REN and led me here. This song hits in so my places, CHester was my idle and his passing still hurts. Thank you for inadvertently leading me to this.
5 days ago I've been to their concert. It was so insane.. I loved them already, but after I heard his voice live.... God. Mesmerizing! My mom literally stood next to me crying at the concert.
So glad that you granted me the wish to comment this song, thx Alex🙏🏻 love your reactions👌i discovered Bad Omens on your Channel first and this is one of my favorite song!
It’s so beautiful, I still get chills after hundreds of times hearing it. Please react to some unplugged songs from Bad Omens. Burning Out and Never Know are my favorites but the whole album is perfection.
I discovered Bad Omens last year through this song as it was used as a song on the Paradise City TV series (which is the continuation of the American Satan movie, if you have seen either, they are a must watch and both have Amazing soundtracks!!) Sadly, the actor who was the singer in the TV show passed away from a medical condition. So it is doubly sad with that in mind. Still an Amazing band!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This song was featured in Paradise City a TV show that was a continuation of the movie American Satan. I would highly recommend checking out both American Satan and Paradise City.
Alex, I can't stress enough how much I love your reactions and the energy you put into every one of your videos. You're SO entertaining, so thank you, man! I think you'd LOVE Kingdom of Cards by Bad Omens as well. Would be a delight to see you react to it some day.
Any song from this album is a masterpiece. This is where their sound really became their own and it only got better with The Death of Peace of Mind. I'd also highly recommend Burning Out, Kingdom of Cards and Never Know. The unplugged (acoustic) versions are worth a listen too.
Well said in the end there Alex. That was beautiful. A personal favourite of mine is Enough, Enough Now. The raw emotion Noah pours through the lyrics makes you want to cry with him. Also want to see you react to Ice Nine Kills “welcome to horrorwood” uncensored version. Such a beautiful video for a wonderful song
Bad Omens has ALWAYS been amazing and I’m glad people are finally catching on! They’ve been slept on for far too long. Careful What You Wish For is a masterpiece and deserves so much more hype than it got when it was released. Wish they’d perform it these days!
Whoa, I didn't know that about when Noah wrote this song, and it completely changes how I look at the lyrics. This song has always been one of my favorites from Bad Omens.
Malice, F E R A L, Hedonist, Reprise, The Hell I Overcame, Kingdom of Cards, Blood, Burning Out, Never Know My guy, you have such a huge library of songs to get through to get the full Bad Omens experience. I only hope you can find time for them all

I discovered the band via Instagram, with an add from sumerian records. I keep on discovering them, had the chance to see them 3 times live in Germany, and for real.. they are so good, so nice and stay grounded. ❤ I can’t believe i slept on them during all this time, but also I wasn’t a big fan of metal music. I start to appreciate slowly but surely the growls and all that stuff 👌🏼
I feel you Alex. I saw Bad Omens back in 2018 when they opened for Bullet for my valentine, but didn't really get into them until last year. Now I'm kicking myself for it!😂
I really love this song, I think it was the first Bad Omens song I listened to and immediately made me fall in love with this band! And the accoustic versions of some songs get me goosebumps every time. Have you ever listend to „I Prevail“? „Bad things“ from their new album or „There‘s fear in letting go“ are really amazing.
OMG!!Am totally obssessed with this band and went and got a Bad Omens tattoo!!THIS song and Take me First are my favourites but every song I listen to of theirs tickles me where their songs should.Sends shivers!!FUCKING LOVE THIS ONE!!😜😝🤘🤘🤘❤❤❤
I was definitely sleeping on Bad Omens, didn't hear of them till you started reacting to them so thank you for that. Another band I think you are kinda sleeping on is Shinedown. They have so many incredible songs and many of them have a fantastic message behind them. Would love if you reacted to A Symptom of Being Human from them, or something a little more upbeat, Dead Don't Die.
MAN! I've just got huge goosebumps by seeing that you released a reaction to that song! Not gonna lie, I've just listened to this song multiple times earlier today and this week.
