I get the sense that Apple really doesn’t want us using our Macs in AVP, or at least they don’t want to encourage using virtual displays as a way to simulate multiple monitors. I actually agree with this and think a much better solution would be if the apps themselves could be streamed into the virtual environment. For example, I’d love to use Photoshop in visionOS and have the individual tools spread out around me instead of just being docked in a window. Naively, I thought we might see something like this already in AVP (even if just the first party apps) but it honestly just feels like I’m surrounded by giant iPads.
Sure, that all may come with time, but until then professionals need a way to actually work. This app looks perfect to help us do that, but hopefully apple makes this available within the OS soon.
I believe that it is the next step, but I suppose that it needs a more serious MacOS update, where each app on MacOs has his own windows in VisionOS It seems to me a natural evolution because when you control the low layer of the windows rendering in macOS it can be feasible
The quest resolution is a bit low for working all day, but it does have an app called Immersed. That does what everyone would want from virtual displays. Ideally, every app could just have it's own window. FOV is my concern about the current gen Apple product. The resolution beats Meta's hands down, but the Quest has a better viewing angle and it only takes an update this year with 4k screens in it to reach close. Overall though, Apple is brining new people to the idea of AR/VR. So that is good. It will be interesting to see how many Vision Pros are still in use a couple months from now.
This is a very interesting thought! Along the way of progress there are many speed bumps and stalls so my guess is by gen 2 or 3 there will be a ton more people using the Apple Vision Pro for many more functions
Can't believe Apple didn't include this in the box. People will find solutions to every Apple shortcoming it seems, but for the hardware that's something else, and the fact that the Vision Pro doesn't have a simple functioning (not just for power) USB port is such a miss. They're excluding all the professionals who need it. Music production is just impossible, can't plug in a microphone! (that doesn't have a ton of latency through Bluetooth)
Regarding multiple monitors in AVP, it is very likely that the feature wasn’t ready yet for the initial release of the hardware and they plan on announcing it at a future WWDC.
I finally got to testing this. When I tried using the dual screen mode with Resolve, the primary screen was smooth with the mouse movements and was just like I was on my MacBook. The secondary screen mouse movements had some sort of delay and was not smooth and seamless. Did you get a chance to really test that part of it? And this is with the latest update as of today.
Great video! If you want the virtual display on the right, why didn’t you just move it with the arrange settings? You can position it anywhere, and then your mouse will move between the screens accordingly.
LOL... Sorry for the laugh when seeing the bug. I've been doing 3 monitors in immersed for years with ease for editing...never experienced weird stuff like that....
Not at the level of clarity and fidelity lol sorry I know the quest and other headsets are amazing and have much more apps and experiences but the quality of the extended monitors is quite different.
It's released on the Apple Store, but definitely buggy. Kept getting gray screen until repeatedly force quitting both client and server side apps and restarting. Also very laggy when compared to Apple's zero lag virtual display.
I think the main reason they didn’t add this in OS is due to processing power and network lag from Mac to VP. Keep in mind that Apple being Apple will fulfil their promise to make the experience as smooth as possible by restricting it to one screen only for that reason, though I suspect you could have multiple screens already just that they are not enabled.
As an iOS developer myself with 10 years of experience (I've seen it all) I fear for the developers that this will be replaced by a native Vision Pro feature at some point. I wonder what the real reasons are behind this decision at Apple's.
Imagine the situation, I'm mirroring the Mac screen on the Vision Pro. However, you want to share my entire view (including the Mac screen), is it possible to share the screen on an Apple TV? (at the same time with the mirrored mac?
Yesterday, I received your invitation redeem code, but it has expired so I cannot test your program. I applied again through the Google form. Can you accept it?
On the main display nope haven’t had any bugs or slow downs. When I disconnect from the app and Vision Pro I have to turn off the app on the Mac but that will all get smoothed out. I made this video literally as soon as I got the app so I’ve only had it for about 2 hours haha
@@VisionProExperience That is just amazing. I hope the devs bring this to market ASAP. There are rumors that Apple will expand this feature. Honestly, would love to reward these devs with $$$ so that they will continue to develop and expand (and be rewarded). Please continue to make this type of great content! Tnx!
Correct, I believe how the app works is it creates like a virtual monitor which is then recorded “live” and then projected onto the window. It’s not being recorded and then saved to the devs like personal computers lol but I understand people are more cautious in this area
When I first took down my main monitors a day before the Vision Pro came out I “challenged” myself to not use them for 7 days…it’s been over 2 weeks now and I honestly forgot I had other monitors 😂 sometimes I’ll just use my laptop screen if I’m doing a quick editing session but absolutely when I’m sitting down to edit for a while I love the Vision Pro now for big monitors.
@@VisionProExperience yes. I am looking forward to getting back into it when there is more practical things you can do with it. The apps and the practical use cases are not there yet. Not for me, anyway. I do believe it will catch up.
I'm completely baffled that they didn't include this on launch! Additionally they've been working on this for "years" but they have no Apple Watch or iPhone integrations. What's the point of an ecosystem if you don't get stuff like this for free?
Hey Man , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you edit highly engaging trending short videos from your long form content like the one on my page which can help you built your strong personal brand across all social media platforms ?
We shouldn’t be excited about this. We should be bothered that Apple, as big as they are, didn’t include this on their first iOS for Apple vision. Just like they limit the MacBook Air to one external monitor yet they claim the M1 is powerful enough. Make it make sense. They’re driven by $$$$$$$
I am going to go out on a limb and say all major companies are driven by money but sure let's make it an Apple only thing lol. Also do most netbooks support a 6k display let alone two displays ? Companies in general suck these days... yay for late stage capitalism
The $3,500 price in and of itself isn't the problem. It's what you DON'T GET for $3,500 that's the problem. This headset needs a wider FOV, low persistence, auto focus lenses, lighter weight, higher Wh battery capacity, haptic controllers, at least 32GB of RAM, HDMI input, USB-C input, native PCVR support out of the box, etc. There was a time when iPods didn't work with Windows PC's until Apple brought iTunes to Windows so Windows users would be interested in buying iPods. The Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition headset costs $10,000 and it's basically what Apple Vision Pro wishes it could be but in the form factor of lightweight glasses.
There’s plenty of room for the Vision Pro to grow in many of the ways you mention and more absolutely! But I’m just enjoying what we have so far and I’m here for the ride!
I am sure many of these will come. Looking at the fact that Meta has been out for so many years and where they are, Apple came out and redefined the usecase. This is not just hype. I use it daily for productivity and love it. I think if they put too many features, there would be more bugs. It’s a balancing game.
The XR-4 Focal Edition is ten grand PLUS the high-powered PC you’ll have to pair it with (via a USB cable - it’s not wireless) PLUS a $500 additional kit if you want hand tracking. And it weighs over a kilogram, including the headband. And it’s only available to enterprise customers, so Joe VR Enthusiast is out of luck regardless. I don’t see how any of this is "what Apple Vision Pro wishes it could be."
Pro display XDR is 7k...for people like me that use that everyday at home but also travel 100+ days a year and have two homes this is a deal. Everyones use case is different, if its not for you dont buy it...but never understand complaining about the price of apple products. They work you're buying into the best designed and manufacture products in tech, that has the best ecosystem. If you don't like that plenty of other options...innovate dont complain.
I love how there's a channel just for us Vision Pro users who are creatives and editors. This is literally perfection.
Welcome! 🙌🏼
I'm a Vision Pro user who is neither a creative nor an editor and I've been dying for this since launch. lol

If it’s anything like photoshop for iPad, don’t hold your breath. Ball’s in adobe’s hands.
Apple: indie developers are making money on a feature that it takes us a few minutes to implement? Hold my beer
They could use some sort of implementation like Parallels does through the coherence mode. where we just incorporate all open apps into the MacOs
Can you try Window laptop mirroring ? Thanks
What we need is an option of minimum 4 to 8 monitors that can be resized and movable anywhere so we can trade anywhere 🤓🙏🙏🙏
This product looks great. Thanks for sharing!
BTW, who’s the wallpaper babe?
That would be my wife 😍
@@VisionProExperience You’re a lucky man. 👊
Anyone else not able to get TestFlight to install? I have it on all devices but won’t DL in Vision Pro.

I work all day on Immersed i used an app to increase the resolution to 2K experience and it is awesome. I am referring to Quest 3
tbh as a reference monitor is the best thing to use it for
ok now it might be worth it
Great now let’s get four monitors
That’s amazing news. Any idea when the app will release in first basic version (without all the features that will come later)?

game changer! And I am curious how much computing power was used.
Yeah same. Gotta try and find a cpu or stat app that can run.

Why can I only mirror my computer screen here and not extend screen?
Could you use a Vision Pro in lieu of a monitor on a Mac Studio? Assuming no monitor at all and ability to install any necessary software.
I think the main reason they didn’t add this in OS is due to processing power and network lag from Mac to VP. Keep in mind that Apple being Apple will fulfil their promise to make the experience as smooth as possible by restricting it to one screen only for that reason, though I suspect you could have multiple screens already just that they are not enabled.
hows the lag? hows the sharpness

Imagine the situation, I'm mirroring the Mac screen on the Vision Pro. However, you want to share my entire view (including the Mac screen), is it possible to share the screen on an Apple TV? (at the same time with the mirrored mac?
I think the answer is yes but it’s not going to be especially high resolution on the tv.
Yesterday, I received your invitation redeem code, but it has expired so I cannot test your program. I applied again through the Google form. Can you accept it?
Hey what code? I dont use any google forms. Make sure you’re not being scammed by someone pretending to be me!
That's cool
Do you have virtual desktops available on the same screen?
This is why I kept mine. There will be updates and apps that enhance it.
So smart!! It pains me to see so many people returning them already

Do you notice any slowdowns on the main display? or slowdowns in any other way (apps, etc)?

What about the physical keyboard, can you use it?
Of course, either your built in Mac’s or a Bluetooth one
How does Macbook send picture to Apple Vision Pro. Which protocol, does it have some limit in FPS, delay, etc...
no delay at all
Probably AirPlay protocol
Wow looks great thanks for sharing.
