I just flattened my island and I‘m always between happy and aggressive because it is so blank and so is my brain when it comes to terraforming😀

In all seriousness I’ve been waiting for someone to hop on the unique natural environment trend and genuinely do a ‘flatcore’ prairie island, like set it in fall to get the high weeds & brown grass, it would be so good!
I think this one will have minimal terraforming!!!
EJ Plays is doing a Wild West/Prairie theme over on their channel! They said there will be some terraforming to represent the mountains, but right now, they are mostly doing dirt across the island builds. ☺️

I only got the game at Christmas and for the longest time I didn't know what to do with my theme. I was just kind of going with the flow. Even when I got to 4 stars I wasn't sure where this was going. Then I figured that I didn't have to choose. I could do all the themes I want in one island ! So now I'm doing an island where one third is a town center, one third is a music festival slash fairground, with a lot of campsites throughout, and the last part is a hike trail slash nature reserve, complete with a sunken museum in the jungle and a fossil digging site. Like literally why choose when you can have it all. I have reached 5 stars now, even though everything is far from being finalized.
I have to say that every time I'm designing I can hear your voice cheering in my head, as if you were touring my island, and it really helps me motivate myself and keep playing ! Lmao

I reset my island last week, now my new theme is City and residencial area. Its weird, but now, my progress is good
My county fair is super small so we don't have tons of rides but we have food booths for *everything*. Literally like, a good three quarters of the space is taken up by booths for food. And one section near the back is all about arts and crafts for sale and such! Idk if that helps any, since to me its kinda standard but;;; I'm excited to see how it turns out
I think of 4H animals and stalls where you can get berry pie and elephant ears :)

Look up the Texas State Fair, they do ALLOT of stuff, plus Big Tex could be a cool mascot inspo!
I love county fairs!! In my area, it’s a small ride/games section and then lots of animals and animal product stands. And the whole thing is centered around a race track. Maybe get that racetrack horse? Also there’s an evening concert and fireworks. And lots of stands to buy weird goods that you didn’t know you needed.
Also I lolled so hard at FlatCore 😂😂😂

I love the county fair idea! You need prizes to go along with your carnival games! All the toy items would work great for that especially the bears! I'm in Wisconsin and we always have livestock auctions, tractor pulls, demo derbies, and different awards for flower arranging, needlepoint, painting, and things like that. And food! Fried twinkies, everything on a stick, funnel cakes, mini donuts. Oh and a stage for the Miss Calla Cove pageant ! The possibilities are endless! Also I'm not sure how possible this is now but I would love tips on how to go about flattening my island. I'm so impressed that you pulled it off so quickly!
Oh you KNOW there will be a Miss Calla Cove pageant (hehe) 😍 For flattening, I think carrying around a trash bin with you helps a TON so you don't have to go back to your house. Or, if you want to put things in storage, carrying around the Mario pipes to get to your home help too! But yeah... it takes a while no matter what I'm afraid.

I was in 4H as a kid and I showed horses at the county fair. I remember doing a face painting booth with mom later on in my teens. My state fair would have concerts and 2 rows of food stalls.

ouh this new theme sounds very pretty, it reminded me of the Disney movie "princess and the frog" a bit, because of the style, I was imagined!
i would bring this 1920´s aesthetic onto the island if I would try to do fun fair buildings. by that I mean elegant, but also city-like streets, stands, etc.
I'm new here, so I don't really know what you've done in the past for island themes. But I'm taking a guess and saying... no theme, theme! Just put whatever down you feel like :D

I’m very excited for your new theme! I grew up in the Midwest- there’s a county fair every weekend! Lots of horse racing and showing. At the beginning of the year the race commission would send out a fair guide and I’d write my favorite things at each fair so I wouldn’t miss out 🤣🤣🤣

My guess farms new theme is farm / carnival themed
I was so close!
I made a second island when I got my own switch and ended up time traveling to get all the different shrubs. Then I lined them by type and had a flower in front of them to remind me what each one was. Example: The row of blue hydrangeas had a blue rose, the holly had a red rose, etc. I wrote the types I picked down so when I needed shrubs of certain types I wasn't having to dig them up repeatedly to figure out which was which.
Also the background you have up behind you when announcing the theme looks like the puzzles I did with my mom

i loved your treehouse from your island tour. the county fair theme seems like it will be very unique and challenging, can’t wait to see (: i kinda guessed it when i saw you had all those teacup rides in your invo, but from your live stream hunting and previous videos i thought you’d do farmcore... which it kinda is, but more fun. can’t wait! 🤠 also if you did live builds i bet they’d be really popular 💙 good luck !

It took 2 days for me but I spend a LONG time in the game (like easily 6-8 hours total). One thing that helped me a ton was doing a flower giveaway in my discord. I let people come over and take as many flowers, trees, etc. that they wanted and that helped clear some space!
