In the beginning of this year, Cleetus set about bringing life back to the old speedway. By the time he got the burnout pad and repaving done, the world was in a pandemic, threatening life itself. He wasn't deterred, and look at the life he's breathed into that place. When the time finally comes and he can open for fans to join him there, the Freedom Factory will be a triumph for all of us.

Dude is so underrated. I've been following him since his xdc days. His old e46 was absolutely ridiculous. 650 ft pounds of torque out of a 3 liter at 3500 rpm. He's was snapping blocks in half. I think he broke 10 engines in 7 events including an ls at the last round. After the last motor he went to Vaughn and said I'm driving for you next year and now he can finally drive as hard as he does without as many mechanical issues.

He has a natural ability. He also isn't afraid to push things. Having a certain level of confidence really helps with car control. It's all visual, the feel really comes from being dialed with the car. Like Cleetus can't explain how the car feels like VG, Or LZ or even Taylor, but he can do a few donuts and get an idea of how to move the car. It's incredible to watch. He might be more naturally talented then LZ.

Same here before this I had watched some drifting on T.V. but didn't really get into it to much at all but after watching clet I am definitely a fan !!
I was never into drifting either until about a year ago. Check out Taylor Ray his channel is really informative and his projects are cool and he's a really competitive grass roots drifter that should be sponsored by a team like Vaughn's he's that good of a driver. Adams liz's channel is ok. He has some of the sickest cars of any youtuber and isn't bad at drifting.

I love that Cleet has gotten so cool with Vaughn. He obviously loves drifting, so who better to be friends with than THE drift guy. And Vaughn's last little line about "this is only the beginning" is sick. Watch for full FD comps coming to the FF! I also must say I love seeing all the brands play nice together...Ford, Chevy and all the imports just out there killing tires. It's beautiful...Cleet you are the man.

Apparently since Leroy was wrecked when he got it, the suspension is kinda squirrelly, which seems true given how we always see him yank the wheel when he launches.
Vaughn is backed by Ford and many other companies when it comes to fixing and replacing his drift cars. Garrett has some sponsors, but they won't pay to replace Leroy in the event of an accident. Too much liability and hard work put into Leroy to let someone else possibly take that away.

@@chrispaxton6580 I think Jeremy drove Leroy before. Pretty sure that was pre-turbo though. I know they've all taken turns loading it on the trailers and a few guys have ran it on the dyno but yeah I think Garrett is the only one to ever race Leroy after the turbo setup.

That really was a hell of a compliment given what that car means to VGJr, but it's pretty obvious that ol' Cleeter has some serious innate driving talent, and Vaughn has been around drivers long enough to recognize it in an instant, so he was probably pretty comfortable handing over the "keys".
When i speak to my friends about people in the US of A, all the guys i see in this video represents my experience everytime i go there. The media only show the negative 5% side of it. God bless you guys and Cleatus for President !!
