How will you stay safe and social distance?
Just got my ticket!
Upon returning home from our postponed North American tour, we knew that we had to find a way to play together. Instead of just hopping on a Zoom call, we actually wanted to record and make this thing sound awesome. Each of us performed and recorded our parts at home, and we passed the whole thing to our producer, Sam Guaiana, to mix it. From there, we wanted to make what feels like a sitcom, documenting our time in isolation and pulling the curtain back on our daily lives. We enlisted Wyatt Clough, the director behind most of our recent music videos, to help edit and narrate the video. We hope the end result is something that can bring some comfort to our fans who are also isolated during this time, and we can’t wait to step on stage for them again once this is all behind us!
You guys are awesome! Haha
Thank you for all the years of incredible music! Got to see you guys last year with ABR and I'm still blown away. Glad to see the arm healed up well, Shane!
Everyone did a great job! Thank you for the video💖💖💖 I love you guys 💗
We Love you Silverstein 💗💗💗💗
I will see you in Atlanta 🙂🤟
"Smashed Into Pieces" 1:00
"Smile in Your Sleep" 5:50
"The Afterglow" 9:55
"Bad Habits" 14:04
"Burn it Down" 18:00
Sick playlist yo.
Thanks for the list!
i was looking for this coment!!! ty bro!!!
Thank you ♡
I thought after looking at this comment, half way through they were doing a couple Ed Sheeran covers
One of the only singers who can still put it down in real time and just like the record big shout out Silverstein
15 years later and the vocals still just as clean as I remember.
Damn guess I'm the one olde AF as this was 15years ago. Damn that is so long. Sounds like korn and pennywise had baby and it babysit by greenday
Silverstein..?
Heard of silverchair
@@crayrudinyang5598 no one cares about your opinion
I love that Shane had the music video for Smile In Your Sleep playing in the background. Despite the song being released 15 years ago, they sound like a better band now. Crazy!
Better back then. Still good but not as good.
Bike Grinch I disagree, I think their newer music is better then their older stuff.
@@charlottewright5306 "sound better now" does not mean write better songs now. try to read the words on the screen.
And in sync almost perfectly. Love it.
@@kellywasden i think khe reason he had it back there was to sync his lips with the song. Cause they did say they rerecorded the songs and mixed them for the video. But it was awesome seeing the video back there.
It's so awesome that after 20 years Shane still has the same voice and it sounds just as good !
you´re pro, or you´re noob, thats life. ;)
Love you Danny
😘😘
Hahah yup, unlike literally every other band
No. He doesn't sound the same. He got a lot better at screaming. His unclean vocals are just so bad ass now😂😂😂
I used to play entire Silverstein, Taking Back Sunday, and Hawthorne Heights albums on my bass as a teenager. *sigh* The good ole days
"Honey! that adult child is singing in the lawn again!; Bring out the chairs!"
This was literally my thought watching this lmao
Holy shit lmao
All the songs sounds exactly like the original versions. I love it
Smashed to Pieces sounds noticably better imo
I mean they did change an entire lyric in afterglow
We took our time to perform / record them as best as we possibly could!
@@SilversteinOfficial Glad this person finally got a reply from you. They have commented on literally every single one of your music vids. Huge shout out to tenesajuancruzenyb. Seriously.
@@KipperSkipp I'm glad you've noticed me! I'm the biggest Silverstein fan ever. Even my profile picture is about a Shipwreck in the sand 💕💓💟
I can't be the only one that keeps coming back to this vid.
Me
Nope. Back again 🤘✌
Nice
Pal it’s been 4 years and I come back at least once a month
"Heartbreak in my very own parking lot."
I felt that.
Proof we are old AF and this is our "classic rock" lol
.....Fuck
How dare you come at me like that.
so this is Dad Rock now
Jeremiah Fernandez I’m not a dad yet tho... but my brother is so I guess it makes sense
Honestly....totally okay with it haha
imagine being outside in your backyard and started hearing "someone" shane singing out loud. me personally i would have ran around trying to find where the voice was coming from.
"Oh man. My dad and his friends are drunk again on zoom."
I think we're doomed o_o
LMAO i read this and about died hahahaha YESSSSSSS
Ya I heard your dad is that loser from Hawthorne hights lol
@@dustinmacdougall2308 lmao
thank you so much for this
you guys mean so much to me
Thanks! Let's collab
Please! We need this! 🤘🏻💖
PLEASE COLLAB TOGETHER
Silverstein YESS YOU GUYS NEED TO COLLAB🖤
Literally wearing a Nothing, Nowhere hoodie right now thinking holy shit Silverstein still have it. This colab would be sick.
Last time I heard you guys play was when I still had mad amounts of hair like ten years ago in Auckland at Taste of Chaos I think.
The tone of Silverstein is probably the best tone of the whole punk rock / emo scene. The guitars, the drums, the voice, they kept it simple, and it is always so perfect.
I see your Silverstein, and I raise you a Bayside.
And they sound so good live also
@@robfuckyourface8498 I have never heard Bayside. What is a good song?
I see your Silverstein, and raise you them touring with Amity Affliction. So stoked for this!
I agree
Been listening to you guys since 2005 and will be when I'm an old lady 😊
For real. About the same for me. The first time I heard them was on a victory records album that put one song from different bands. I miss those days.
Yupp
Wow, Shanes clean singing in smashed into pieces is on point! I think it's even better then in the original track
💯💯💯
It's been overdubbed after the fact, but it is super good. Shane always has kicked ass on vox
Silverstein is still playing. This is great news.
Silverstien is atleast a weekly listen
She Austin sididoOsodkse next time you want Donuts 🍩 Could idifia you idjf all
Everybody on the comments I'm really sure you enjoyed this as much as me so don't forget to support the band so they can bring us more masterpieces like this. Silverstein put a PayPal donation link on their page go ahead a support them, we are in this together ❤️
We really appreciate everyone's support, so thank you!
And now I'm craving a 2020 Quaranstein remake of "When Broken is Easily Fixed."
I need giving up
I love hearing Paul sing more
20:16 when Paul looses his headphones from headbanging. I felt that.
Absolutely.
One of the best live bands ever, they always kill!
The last show in february was the best live show ive ever witnessed! Perfection and they even sound better live than on the records... if thats possible 🤭😍
Yup! They performed the whole ‘When Broken is Easily Fixed’ album when they came to San Antonio.. Sounded nearly perfect 👌🏻
The power of nostalgia damn that song "smashed into pieces" first i hear that song when i was high school it brings back memories dude. now im 26 😂
29 now and been jamming to Silverstein since I was 14. Over half my life.. whew.
I love how Shane has the music video to smile in your sleep playing in sync💜
Yeah, that was awesome!
Haven't checked Silverstein since I was 14. Yet, even after all these years, Discovering the Waterfront is still a masterpiece.
Ooooof check out the songs Aquamarine, Whiplash, and Demons. 🙌
How is it possible that Silverstein just haven't missed a beat their whole career? Every release is sick and they've stayed true the whole time.
Bonus points, the photo shoot with Joey L pretty much got me into photography so yeah, all round legends
They’ve been the most consistent band for the past 20 years👌🏼
Eh their newer stuff has taken a turn for the worse imo
@@EvolutionIX219 you not hear the latest album? Definitely top 3
This is what I needed in my life. My son just vibing & my daughter screaming turn it off. Silverstein makes me complete
I had no idea Stein Cooking Hour is a thing I needed in my life, but now I do.
Yes! First time I seen Silverstein was in 2003, WARPED TOUR CINCY! the guitarist or bass player was wearing an old friends, band tee shirt. Landen Falls. Bowling for soup had a tent near by. Also matchbox romance. Those were the good days.
I was there. First warped for me too..
Hell yea they were the good ol days. The big slip n slide and skate half pipe. Wee man from Jackass was there.
Also goes to show how good Silverstein is and how much staying power they have because of other bands you don't hear from to much no more.
All time favorite is My heroine
These songs we're my high school soundtracks and I still love them
Just a bunch of Canadian dads who got bored of doing household chores so they decided to reform their high school band.
If y'all do this again, my heroine has to be in the video.
500% agree 100000% rather.
PLEASE HEAR OUR PRAYERS
yooo i want your sword vs my dagger. that would be great
Dont u think they get sick of playing that shit? It's so cheesy and literally their most played song. We're adults now. We need your sword vs my dagger, three hours back and red light pledge (acoustic) .. and maybe invite Lights over for a few drinks and bang out The End one more time. They made some solid song choices tho fr.. either i really am getting old or Shane's bored of singing some of these songs.. there was more cheese and angst than i remember on some of those, lol. Would've liked to see Toronto played as well.. maybe with a funny video of how Toronto is right now 🤣🤣
Call it Karma too
The sound quality on this is amazing. Great job guys! No matter if “quaransteined” or live at Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, NY you guys never disappoint.
Ayyyyy shout out to upstate concert hall
Word I saw motion city soundtrack there
Hell yea! I still Call ot Northern lights though. I'm 36 and spent many many drunken nights there seeing bands like less than jake to kingdom of sorrow and everything in between.
@@bababooeydude I still call it Northern Lights as well. Last time I saw Silverstein was at Valentines
I miss that venue. Im originally from upstate ny and now living in Texas. I only got to go to a few shows there before I left but i enjoyed every one.
Caleb went off in that feature! Everyone did great 🔥
Silvertooth lives!
Justin Turner ¡viva la Silvertooth!
Silvertooth!

You have no idea of how much I needed this, been a fan since 2005
We will grow with them.
@@ericpunkkinen5038 we are
How are they still this fucking good!!!!!???? Dude's voice has gotten better. Shit brings back find memories
smile in your sleep is such a timeless song, after all these years it still gets me.
edit: all these songs are timeless to me and hold a special place in my heart.. thank you @silverstein
Hes voice never age o.o and keeps on improving hows that even possible
If y'all do this again, I would LOVE to hear "Massachusetts"
Did no one realize that smile in your sleep playing I the background was timed exactly as Shane was singing...epic
I truly love and appreciate how
1) It's not just us who grew up, matured and became less "emo" and more peaceful. But including our favourite throwback bands,
2) They are still playing and making music!
3) We, because of them, are still united! And we're all reminiscing the past!
🥲
The breakdown in “smile in your sleep” still makes me wanna kick holes in the walls.
Caleb's energy is incredible!
YES HOLY SHIT
Right haha. When he grabbed that stuffed tiger and screamed with rage i was like :O Well that just happened.
Whelp, this should teach me to read the comments before finishing the video. Spoiler boner, engage.
honestly thought this version was better than on the album!
9:48: Is Shane making hummus?? Boiling chickpeas is the best way to prepare for creamy hummus!
I got the opportunity to shake Shane's hands after seeing Silverstein perform live in Madrid in 2012, and he's just such a refreshing, down-to-earth, kind human being.
Smashed Into Pieces was immediate chills...holy SH*T. I can't believe I've been listening to them for 20 years!
i gotta say, the vocals sound amazing considering how long the band has been around. i would have expected them to sound off or not as strong since he is older and the type of vocals they do, but it's awesome to see that they haven't fucked their voice up or anything
Nah yeah his voice has improved!
I can’t believe I only discovered you guys last year 😭😭😭- plz keep the shows coming ...your concert with Hawthorn Heights in Orlando was the highlight of my entire LIFE 👊🏼🤟🏼🙌🏼✨🔥🔥🔥
I was at the MN event for that tour! And welcome to the family
That would’ve been epic. Damn I’m jealous
I only knew three songs since like 2009 and only dived into them during quarantine after I discovered Senses Fail for the first time.
I'm falling back into the emo phase I thought I outgrew
@@kylemartineau8269 Senses fail isn’t emo. You don’t know what real emo is. You were probably just a poser
Bands go their entire career trying to achieve a moment like the “smash apart what you created” right after the little clean guitar break. Absolutely classic.
Let Paul sing more! He's got a great voice yo
That ad at the beginning of Bad Habits hurts my damn soul.
That moment of happiness to find out Caleb is here
I'm struggling, but..... even though I feel alone in my journey I have things like this that help. I've been praying, hoping, and keeping faith that things will get better. This year so far has been absolutely poop for me, poop soup to be exact. I've been asked to move out yet again and I wont see my kids everyday. I'm just saying this so maybe some of you great people out there will send your prayers and positive vibes my way... I need all I can get. 41 and starting over wasnt on my bucket list, but I'm not a quitter. God Bless you all and may he carry you through your dark valley into your promise! Love you all very much, hold on.
As much as I love this band nothing they do will ever beat their first two albums. Literally the soundtrack to high school and growing up. Thank you so much for this and everything you've ever done
Dead Reflections is my favorite recent album of theirs. It's really a fantastic piece of work.
You should reaaaaaalllly give Dead Reflections a second listen. They really reached new levels with that record
Watching now, from Germany at 12pm 😇 Saw you a couple of weeks ago in Frankfurt, Germany an now you are here on my TV 😍 Love you guys, stay healthy 🙋🏼♂️
I have watched this videos every morning for the past few weeks... thank you guys so much... I always tear up reminiscing of old times when life was a little easier. Love you guys thank you so much and God bless you all
My 1st time at warped tour which was maybe '04 or '05? Me and my friends were walking through to find the stage Fall out Boy were going to be playing and find a good spot, like most 15 year olds did at that time, when I heard this band off on a side stage starting their set and no one was there. So I walked over and we watched. It turned out to be Silverstein. They were so badass!! We were front row, singing and screaming words i didn't even know yet. At the end of the set Josh Bradford gave me his guitar pick and I had it hanging in my room for 6 years until my step mom through my dad and I out and I never got to pack my stuff. They did it for me while I was at school and I lost my pick. Anyway, long story to say I am forever a fan!! 🤘🤘
I didn't expect to learn so much about y'all's coffee preferences, but I'm not complaining
Dude this is my dads favourite band! I was born in 2002 but this is dope AF! Love classic rock.
I never thought I'd see the day that someone referred to Silverstein as classic rock😭😭😭
@@Christine-mp7pb welp..... That hurt
I wish my dad was emo lol
Dude this is the emo/screamo not classic rock
Your dad sounds like a great guy. 👍 also, it makes my arthritis act up when I hear this referred to as classic rock. I'm old now haha.
The first time I ever saw you guys is the first time I heard your music. It was at the Warped Tour 2004 you were in the small stage at the time. I fell in love with your music and your energy. The performance was more soooooo awesome! You guys rock. You played Smashed into Pieces and you took a picture with me while you were screaming the part" smash apart what you created" OMG I wish I had a time machine!
i played every add all the way through just for yall, im 31 and have been a fan since I was 16 and will continue to support silverstein till the day i die❤❤❤.
didn't think Caleb's gonna be in this one, what a surprise
even with the new songs you guys still bring me back to my teenage years, absolutely love it!
Smashed Into Pieces is my favorite Silverstein song... I don't think that will ever change.
I remember back in the late 90’s - early 2000’s, Silverstein, LinkinPark and Sum41 was all I ever listened to. I’m now 36 with 2 kids who listen to the same thing 🤣😂 man has the time fly... 😩
That screaming in Burn it down gave me chills
Yupp
This is freaking fantastic. 20:11 nearly had me in tears XD
Started with Emery and now I’m here. Reliving the glory days
I like how little shane is raging on the tv in the background while big shane tears up smile in your sleep. Nice touch
Looks like he had a damn blast singing afterglow.
One of the best quarantine sessions on here!
You came to Sudbury Ontario years ago. I'm still blessed for the years that have gone by and the fact that I haven't stopped listening. We will grow up with you!

To this day there has never been a band that ive heard sounds as good live as Silverstein.
What is going on? First MCR, then Hawthorne Heights started multiple zoom interactive “home school”, podcast, and bingo nights (all very amazing), and now Silverstein made this masterpiece!
Hint: copy Hawthorne Heights with the interactive fan zoom performances. I don’t think I’ve spent that much money supporting bands since hot topic was about the music
Smashed Into Pieces brings back soo many memories. Sound quality is amazing! Well done lads.
Daddystein is just beautiful. Can't wait for Discovering the Waterfront.
Still making nostalgic teenage favourites at home. God I knew there was a reason i've loved this band for over 10 years. Oh and Coffee. Lol we would get on so well. Awesome guys, thankyou
I bought 'when broken is easily fixed' when it was originally released. Anyone else?
Got it before their second album for sure
best thing that happened during quarantine🤘🤩
THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! I HAVE BEEN LISTING TO YOU SINCE I WAS 17. Im 30 now and when my day is dark, I still just just put in head phones and fall asleep to you. It keeps me safe. The only other band I have this with is 10 Years.
Thank you for doing this. It means so much..you have held me though some dark times. Knowing I was not alone kept me at bay.
Thank you all 🖤
My heart prints at 5:50
Awesome Band
Ah yes, I see Caleb's in his later stages of his Shane metamorphosis. Good, good.
Omgggg
This was so so good and as my coffee intake seems to have gone up with quarantine, I could fully appreciate this! 😂 I saw you guys a few months back in London but fell in love with the band back in 2006 at Give It A Name festival.🤘
As someone who found Silverstein through my wife, who I met during covid, I fell in love with the music. The last couple albums have been amazing. Saw yall in SF last year and hope you come up closer to Sacramento next year.
Dude the part that never gets old is when they zoom in on shane kicking the tree during burn it down 😂😂
Imagine the neighbours wondering why someone is screaming in their backyard....
😂😂💀
Story of my life... I mean, my neighbours'
lol
Caleb didn't have to go that hard, but he sure did anyway. Love all of you guys, can't wait to see you when you start touring again!
Listening to Shipwreck in the Sand on release when i was 15 this shit was so relatable, now at 25 shit still smacks in totally different ways. Cold chills from the nostalgia seeing you guys now sitting here relating. Thanks guys.
Give us Discovering the Waterfront please! And release this songs in a EP!!
Loved this! Wondering if we'll ever get a rerecording of "Defend You" It's my favorite track and every show I seem to go to you guys don't play it. I unfortunately missed your 20th because you skipped Western Canada. Also nice Propaghandi shirt, Shane!
And this is why you've been one of my favorite bands since I was in high school. LONG LIVE QUARANSTEIN!
Jesus!! All the boys still have it especially Shane his voice never missed a beat 🍻
Y'all have everyone beat.
This is it.
Coffee and Stein...
Silverstein headlined the very first real concert I went to (never shave again tour 2006) it's so great to hear them sound so good still. This was a band that did so much to shape my taste in music. Once life returns to some type of normal, they're on my list of bands to see live again
I have been with you all since 2005 - from Cocoa Beach, Florida. I've been to every show you have ever played in FL - have and always will be a huge fan! Keep up the great work!!
Shout out to Josh with that Canadian maple syrup
