Stylised Welding Cart - Forme Industrious

- Welcome back. I was feeling the urge to make a welding cart for my new WIA Welder, but it had to be a little different. So here it is. Oh, I've changed from using Flux Core wire to solid 0.8mm wire and Gas. Loving Gas! So clean compared to Flux Core.
I will make some "add ons" to the welder for cables etc.
Special thanks to WIA (Welding Industries Australia) for supplying such a great welder.
Huge thank you also to my Patreon supporters!!
Love to hear your thoughts on this one :)

A true work of art, would even look right at home in a 1930's Flash Gordon serial!
Many thanks Dave!
Lady's and gentlemen George Jetson welding cart.Very nice!
Love the Jetsons - Thank you!
Again watched this video. Get away from joyful shock)). Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Industrial style forever! And the wings above the wheels are a special masterpiece! Thank you!
Thanks Vasily, Yes the cart is unique!
I love that you clear coated it to show off it's original glory. Just beautiful and super functional!!
Hi Bonnie. I like the look of the steel so clear it is. just hard to find a product that is tough (durable). That was just acrylic but seems to be ok. Thank you!
This guy gets things done...very creative. His designs are inspirational. Thanks!
My pleasure! Thank you for the feedback and support!
Yup....you don't take the easy way out, do ya? That is fantastic! Great vid, brother! Thanks for putting this out.
My pleasure Gary - thank you again for watching and for your support!
I like that a lot. Very cool to see something different from the traditional square angles on a welding cart.
Glad you like it - was fun to make. Thank you!
First in history streamline welding cart.
Nice one.
Might just be! Thank you!
I like it to. Awesome it’s not enough to say how great the car was made. Congratulations.
Thanks Benji!
That is the BEST welder cart I have seen made on here and in forums, I will be making one just like it only for 2 welders. (well maybe I will have to make 2 one for dual welders and one for just my multiprocess) A+++++ You did AWESOME!!!!
Fantastic! Yes why not make one that looks fast :) Huge thanks!
I thought the amount of steel might be a bit over the top until the bottle was fitted and it seemed perfectly balanced. Design is next level and those wheels...... Really tidy, sleek build mate! 10 out of 10.
Hey Peter! I know what you mean, sometime it's a fine line of doing too much or too little. It is well balanced, with the bottle just forward of the axle then with the welder forward its just right. Thanks mate!
Thanks for showing your design step - appreciate it. Nice job.
My pleasure John, thanks for watching!
One of my favorite builds so far.👍
Fantastic design, compact and well constructed. Really great job Scott. Thanks
Thank you Johnny - much appreciated!
Scott, you are one of my absolute favorite RUclipsrs. My mind expands (or blown away) every time you post a new project. I need to make a new trolley for my welders and now I have the Scott Turner answer to help drive my final design. Thanks again for sharing. Joel....
Thank you so much Joel! Too kind. Glad if I can be of some help and thanks for your support!
Now that is one very cool looking welding cart, beautiful job.
Much appreciated - thank you Christopher!
This is just so cool. Having welded up a very utilitarian welding cart myself, it's refreshing to see this out-of-the-box design. Love the casters.
Thank you - it was a fun build!
Slick looking. Good build sequence too…helps a learning maker.
Cheers Brian!
The caster skirt detail is pure win.
Thank you, yes it adds that bit extra!
Your great great great grandchildren will really enjoy that awesome welding cart.
It will be in a museum maybe with a sign saying humans used to make things (the robots are coming ;) Thank you Ross!
Definitely in my top three of your projects to date. Amazing
Awesome - thank you as always, I appreciate your support!
Excellent workmanship.
Thanks for the feedback John!
I love your work Scott. Your work always makes me think of Art Nouveau. Beautiful stuff
Thank you! Great complement, much appreciated!
All I can say is wow. You made me think about switching stuff up. That was amazing great work sir.
Cool! It's a great feeling when we discover we can toss out traditional points of view on how something should look and say bugger it, I'll do it my way. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. Awesomely inspiring. Stylish and functional.
Patreon supporters wanted!
Someone buy this guy a CNC-Plasma cutting table.
Also, help this guy out and buy him some bigger pieces of sheet steal.
A few dollars from each of you would help him do more creating and free him from so much wasted time cutting and grinding little pieces of metal.
Again, thanks for the video.
Thank you Frank! Sorry for the late reply. All the best.
amazing Klingon Welding Kart !!! Congrats very original design
Klingon yes! Thank you!!
You are a true craftsman! Awesome cart! Now i need to go build myself a new one!
Send me a picture :) thanks Scott!
You must be a genius, this is really a very good work.
Thank you so much Mustafa!
Very nicely done. When a potential customer comes into your shop there will be one more piece of functional art for them to lust after.
Let's hope so! Thank you Steve!
I dig the design process :-) almost as much as the execution. Great job as always!
Cool thank you! There is always lots of things to make, but it's a bit trickier to add some swoosh. All the best!
Like "The Jetsons" design. Very stilish, and useful. Congrats men, i cant stop watching your videos now...
Must have been all those Jetsons cartoons from my mis spent youth. Many thanks Diego!!
And again a very nice job! Respect!!!
Thank you Christoph!!
Most beautiful welding cart ever! : ) No more flux core. Great build!
Flux - Core - No - More :) Thank you!!
Turned out Nice Scott. Space age looking cart. Love the design of it. So different to what I've seen people make. Keep up the good work.
Hi Eddie. Does have that spacie look - thank you - much appreciated!
Yet another innovative and beautiful design Scott. Don't blame you for loving gas, the finish quality is soooo much better : ) I think the only I would have done differently would be to have drill holes in the uprights as receivers for the shelf bars and plug welded them and ground them off. I use decorators cover paper as a quick and very cheap design layout material, I'm fairly sure that stuff is universally available. Thanks for the video and the inspiration : )
Hi John, I was just lazy with the shelf bars :). I'll have to try out the cover paper too. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!!
You know, I wrote that just before the end of the video and had actually forgotten that it was a welding cart…. says something about your design and end piece ! lmao
The cart looks like the movie Flasch Gordon. (yes, it's been a long time I know) I immediately had Queen's music in my head and sang softly, "Flash, Ah, ah, the Savior of the Universe.
Flash, Ah, ah, he will save each of us "hahha ... cool work.😆👏
I'm a huge Queen fan - always have been since little. What do you mean "Flash Gordon approaching"! Thank you Andrew.
Scott Turner 》I thought your carts could have come from the film set of Flash Gordon. look at the spaceship that has the same character, haha i love that. ruclips.net/video/0M9JTcvFHt4/видео.html
1950's futuristic, cool. Like the wheel fenders. Watch your knees when changing the bottle!
They had some nice shapes all those years ago. Cars and aeroplanes for example. Yes I'll watch the knees but I'm bound to smack into it sometime. Thank you!!
Well done. As always, it's unusual.
With the purchase of you!
Hi Chook! Thank You!
Very cool design! Dig the bench top MIG holder, too.
Thank you!
Beautiful design and great execution!
Thank you Sanjay!
Oh my gosh dude that is so sweet! Another fine job my man!
Awesome - thank you for the kind words!
wow you should get a role in the mad max movie, your stuff is in another level. congratulations
That would be cool - Thank you!
How cool is that. Nice work mate
Thank you Gareth!
Never cease to amaze Scott !! Looks awesome. Love the way the wheels came together.
Some times projects work, sometimes not but I'll keep having a go - thank you so much Scott!
Most stylish welding cart i've seen.
Thank you!
This isn't a welding table. It is a work of art.
Too kind! Thanks!
Super sparsely good job now everybody will want one
Many RUclipsrs now have to change the titles of their welding cart build videos. There is no way that any of them can claim to have the nicest looking welding carts now that you built this beauty.
Haha, I bet they don't :) Thank you Wayne!
Nice job.
Thank you!
Looks great - I like it a lot too!
Cheers John :)
Love the 1950's style wheel covers. I just wish I could weld as good as you !
Hi Paul, thank you! I'm still learning, just changed over to gas. It's a little different but I like it.
That was fun to watch. Nice work.
Please to hear - Thank you!
That is one awesome looking welding cart.
Thanks Jack!
Can you say Buck Rogers..love it.Best cart ever😃
Huge thanks! Dispatch War Rocket Ajax ;)
Great job as always!
Thank you!
That is a killer retro Jetsons style cart! Btw I love that welding jacket you have!
Thank you!! Yes great welding jacket!
Like the cart, it has that 40's art deco look to it
Cheers TJ!
Cool, I like it too. Nothing exceeds like excess.
Totally agree! Thank you!
Just found your channel. Great content and editing. From Arkansas, US
Glad you found it David- Thankyou!
Awesome. Like from a 50's sci-fi movie.
Thanks Wayne!
Best welding cart design on RUclips
Thank you Dillon - much appreciated!
Not bad ! Mate ! Got that lost in space look!!
Turned out super great! I love that you used clear acrylic! - and didn't "paint" it.
Awesome - Thank you!!
Space ship design work. YESSS.
Johann in the country of the dracula
Dracula country! Hope he is having a good long sleep :) Thank you!!
Yes, Arad-Romania ( Dracula country ).
That's a beautiful cart mate. Really well done and filmed/edited.
Huge thanks Barry! All the best mate!
Great work!
I really like your method of getting the angle right for the gasbottle :-D
Keep it up!
Many Thanks, those boots came in handy :)
WOW such style you have! The bottle section is so bad ass!!
Thanks Derek! All the best.
Very functional thing!
Thank you!
Very nice job, this cart must be in your dining room …
All the best from France
Thank you :) all the best to you too!
That turned out great. Welding cart art. I gotta tell you though, cutting multiple pieces on flat bar then welding them together instead of one sheet drives me insane lol. Great job!
Drives me nuts too but I'm not set up to handle big sheets of steel (yet :) oh and plus I need the welding practice. Thank you!
Art deco welding cart very cool.
Looks a bit that way - Thanks Jonathan!
Beautiful cart! for some reason it reminded me of the jetsons
Thank you! Yes a lot of people have thought the same.
A boring welding cart? "I think not" says Scott T. Looks great.
Hi Robert - I try and do it a little differently. Thank you!
Da gusto ver tus videos , haces un trabajo estupendo. Gracias por compartirlo.
Mi placer, gracias por mirar!
Nice ! Awesome job thank you
Thank you Pablo!
So beautiful thank you. It looks like it’s going fast sitting still. My feedback is I feel the chain is taking away from the design. As I was watching the video, I was seeing in my head a nice curved metal strip with punched holes and some sort of clamp latch. Still, you are a genius. Thanks!!
Huge thanks for the feedback! Thank you!
Beautiful cart and I love the fenders on the wheels. If I may offer one suggestion . Secure that good mig to the cart because one day when you are deep in welding land and you pull on the lead to get that last few mm the cart wheels trip on an obstacle on the floor and you pull the 200i off the cart, with a crash. Don't ask how I know this.
Hi John. Thank you! Yes I have a few mods to do. One for securing the machine and one for the gun and lead. Don't want that crash to hurt my beautiful new 200i :)
Very Stylish-Excellent
Thank you Michael!
Nice design there Scott. Was the leveling of the gas cylinder base intended or did it just end up as a "design feature"? Either way the fold in suits the overall design concept. Thanks again, Bob.
Accident :) but one I'm glad for as the little joggle kind of looks pretty good (Let's keep that a secret though). Thank you Bob!
Отличная тележка)) надо взять на заметку))
Best looking cart i have seen, beyond my skill level though..
Much appreciated, thank you!
Beautiful! May image a suggestion that the chain tab have a safety lock... it looks low on the cylinder. You always have great style. A Canadian fan
Thank you Bruce, and cheers for the tip!
Awesome job!!!! Is it hard to come by sheet steel over there or is it cheaper to buy it in the flat bar type that you use. Just curious. Again all your work is inspiring!!!
Thanks Greg. No not hard to get sheet, but easier for me to get and handle flat bar. All the best.
Nice! Original design.
Thank you - that was a big part of the vision, cheers!
awesome work Scott!!!
Thank You Tim!
Simply Great!
Thank you Dave!
When I saw the preliminary sketches, I thought, "It's George Jetson's shopping cart!"
Killer work as always, Scott.
Oh yeah, I also like how you started with the plasma and went back to the band saw. I hate cleaning up plasma slag, even though the machine is so fun to use.
Yes its very Jetsons. Hand cutting with plasma set up back then was pretty hard to cut close to the line and you end up doing a lot of grinding down to the line. Band saw ended up being faster due to less grinding. Thank you again!
Adorei - obrigado novamente!
Superbe. I like it too. Felicitaciones amigo!
Thank you Neil!
I like it. I like it a lot! Liked and subscribed
Hey Arne, Thank you!!
I love your channel. Subscribed. What kind of clear did you spray it with?
Thanks for the Sub and comment Caleb! I used Clear Acrylic, it's gloss but I tried to produce a stain finish with the gun.
Excellent piece of design and build-I like the Indian motorcycle type "mudguards" (fenders for some folks) and clear coat over steel is my favourite- shows what its made of. On handles, I don't like to fit them to my carts, I prefer to hold onto the the welder and push on the frame of the cart -just me- I feel its safer that way on my uneven shop floor. Other possibles for that build are BBQs/drinks trolley etc. Maybe having the templates printed out and selling em might be a possibility??
Hi Jaques - thanks for your feedback! Yes BBQ trolley might be a goer. Cheers!
Nice work, mister 👍🏻
Thank you Fabian!
One of a Kind.
Probably - Thank You!
Looks great. Glad to see you're picking up some sponsors. I like the covers on the real wheels, nice simple touch. Out of curiosity, how long did this project take you in real time? Keep up the creating!
Hi Alfio. Yes good to get support from WIA - great team! Took about 4 days work, also filming makes things take longer. One off pieces always take longer too. Thank you!!
Que tal amigo, has hecho un trabajo excelente, you have done an excellent job
Thank you!
It'd be great to see you do a workshop tour. Maybe show the brands / type of machines you use and have etc
Ok. I'll do one soon.
That is mighty fine looking cart. Got me some ideas on how I can use my everlast plasma cutter to make a nice cart.
Thanks Tony Stark! Cool
Es precioso, con la corrección del soporte de la botella, mejor que mejor.
Oh, gracias, sí, tuve que arreglar la placa inferior para que quede nivelada. Resultó agradable con la nueva forma del plato. Bonificación inesperada.
