This was my first NASCAR race in person. I was in the stands. This was a lot of fun and defiantly a highlight of last year. I really wanna see if I can attend another race in 2021.
Alfredo The Gamer I mean he hasn’t won shit this year 😂 sure he’s the defending champ but champs don’t usually go from dominate to sucking booty the next year,
When you guys go to cota, I want you to do a formula 1 traditional standing start for all 3 series. I think that would be so darn fun to see the drivers struggle or survive.
Don’t want any issues with a car stalling and someone not seeing stopped car in time then a huge crash with someone missing races due to burns happening
It's really a bummer that NASCAR hasn't gotten into streaming services. When I lived on my own, I couldn't afford a $100 a month for cable. If they want a younger audience, streaming is where it's at!
@@yourmomforpresident this, this very much. If nascar is serious about getting a younger audience, they need to stream to not just one service, but all they can. youtube being one (dont do exclusivity, especially not the priciest of the stream services, young folk cant afford that) but nascar seems to be stuck in the older ways, sadly. but i would love to see them commit to streaming AND other media at the same time instead of just one (tv)
His year really hasn't been that bad, it's just not what we are used to seeing out of KFB. For about 80 percent of the field it's a pretty decent year.
Anybody with me would like to see a exhibition race next year between the imsa Gtlm cars against 6 of the best nascar drivers on the Daytona road course and see who can win a 40 lap race on one day. The next day have them race high banks for 60 laps. I like to see the difference.
Ya know I hate it when 2 teammates race in the exact same paint scheme, same race, but the only difference is car numbers. I do not like it especially if the car numbers are same font. But I like it better if it is like the 2 or 22, and 21 for example. Because the 2 and 22 are one font, and the 21 is a different font.
I love road coarses! But not at Daytona, what were they thinking? Hey, lets make Talladega a mile and a half cookie cutter next! NASCAR has had their head up their ass since Earnhardt died.
I don't know if you have psychic powers or friends on the inside, but they are turning Auto Club into a short track so your idea that seemed kinda crazy a month ago has sort of came to fruition, just a a different track.
hopefully nascar will come up with a better solution to provide the drivers with cooling or something to prevent any medical issues. it must've been brutal being in those cars in that weather.
After watching this race, it's clear that the current car is horrible to use on road courses. I really hope the NexJen cars will have more things to help keep the drivers comfortable during races.
Great win for Chevy but I 🤔 they need to change from the Camaro to the new Corvette c8 and let them use the 6.2 liter v8. That might help Chevy win some more races.
Can't express how excited I was when this race was announced then how much I instantly lost all interest when you ruined the layout with that front stretch chicane.
Without the chicane, simulations showed they'd be hitting 215 going into turn one. Would've been cool to see, but I don't think that's something that's safe
@@abledog9462 Michigan is an oval with 50-ft wide banked corners. The oval section of Daytona is made for that sort of speed, but turn 1 of the road course is barely 2 cars wide, flat, and about 90 degrees. They're not even remotely similar
Road course racing is so much more exciting and entertaining than plate racing. This is the first time a nascar race didn't wipe out half the field at Daytona. More road courses fewer plate races! And while you're at it, BRING BACK NORTH WILKESBORO!!!
Hopefully whoever is in charge of the tv production of NASCAR road course racing learns from this and also tries harder to emulate F1's production quality. This was brutal to watch at several instances. Cameras cutting away at the wrong times and/or simply completely missing important action altogether. Not nearly enough in-car footage during the race either. Announcers were dull more times than not. I love NASCAR and I get it the everyone is used to ovals, but c'mon guys.

Does anyone know the song at the end of the race video?
Denny would be considered one of Nascar's greatest by now, but is so plagued by his pitstops that it distracts from how well he runs otherwise

A race on the Daytona road course was overdue.
Chase doesn't get enough credit.
He was extremely good in this race
The young man is humble he knows that no matter how much talent you have, you still need a fast car to win races a majority of the time.
