Digimon Adventure (PSP, English Sub): Part 44: Episode 26

Tai, Joe, and Mimi were able to reunite with Matt, T.K., and Izzy. At this point the only one left to find was Sora.
Mimi DID see Sora, however. She thought it was in her dreams. Augumon also could've sworn it was her to not eat those Mushrooms of Forgetfulness.
For now, the team decided to look for her and figure out why she didn't just show up to them in the flesh.

Suffice to say, the team did eventually find Sora, but for some reason, she kept running away from them...
They all eventually caught up to Sora & Biyomon, making Sora finally tell her team about her aloof behavior.
Sora & Biyomon, on their night trip to find Tai following his initial disappearance after beating Etemon, had encountered DemiDevimon and his Lord with their own eyes.
From there, Sora got to learn more about the team's Crest, and what each of them had to feel for themselves to release their power and further Digivolve their Digimon:
Tai wields the Crest of Courage.
Matt wields the Crest of Friendship.
T.K. wields the Crest of Hope.
Izzy wields the Crest of Knowledge.
Joe wields the Crest of Honesty (Reliability).
Mimi wields the Crest of Purity (Sincerity).
As for Sora, herself, she wields the Crest of Love, but...
...she felt like she didn't deserve to.
Even as she was the one responsible for helping her friends behind the scenes; Agumon with those mushrooms, Joe during his restaurant troubles, Mimi during her princess phase...
She thought she could never use her Crest of Love... because she felt like she didn't have any love. More specifically, love from her own mother...
Sora loves Soccer, but her mother never approved of it. She instead wanted her daughter to follow in her traditional footsteps of flower arrangement. As long as her mother felt this way towards her, Sora felt that she'll never grow up with love in her heart...
Tai saw this as another one of DemiDevimon's lies, but this was truly something Sora was dealing with in her life. It drove her to tears.
Nonetheless, her effort of helping her friends behind the scenes was not without gratitude. T.K. felt Sora's love just from that, and wanted the team not to separate anymore, especially because of how protective she was of them.
DemiDevimon saw that the DigiDestined had regrouped. He had a new plan with Sora...

In a nighttime campfire gathering, you have an opportunity to raise Tai & Sora's Bonding Rank with each other, mainly picking the correct response over Sora wondering about having her Crest glow one day.
Afterwards, Tai took the time to thank T.K. for cheering Sora up.

It was now the team's time to sleep for the night. It was now time for DemiDevimon to put his next scheme into action.
The scheme? Just outright KILL Sora!
Luckily, Biyomon sensed the attack quickly enough and took the blow for her. It was a rather lethal one, however, and left Biyomon in a lot of pain. The commotion also woke everyone up to DemiDevimon's presence.
And then... from there, from the blood moon and out from a coffin, the "greater evil" that Devimon and Gennai warned the DigiDestined about before finally made his formal presence known to the team.
He is DemiDevimon's Lord... Vandemon! (Myotismon!)
All of the capable Digimon in the party Digivolved to fight back against this dangerous foe, but all of them were promptly beaten.
Biyomon urged Sora to let her fight Myotismon, but she was still damaged from DemiDevimon's earlier attack. Sora didn't want to put her friend into any more danger and struggled to hold her back.
And that's when Biyomon said something to Sora that brought back an old memory...
"WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND?!"
Those were the exact words Sora urged at her mother at one point.
She realized... her mother was just trying to look out for her above everything else. Her concern with Soccer was out of concern of Sora getting herself hurt, just as Sora herself now felt towards seeing Biyomon get hurt...
Birdramon suddenly attacked Myotismon, but she was no match for him.
But... upon Sora's realization with her mother, it finally happened...
And so...
Through the power of Sora Takenouchi's Crest of Love...
BIRDRAMON SUPER DIGIVOLVED TO... GARUDAMON!!
Sora's Digimon finally felt the warmth of her Love, and turned that warmth into a raging & valiant flame! With this new form, Garudamon once again swore against her enemies:
"I will protect Sora!"

Through Garudamon's power, the Chosen Children were able to escape from Myotismon and live another day.
The next day, Gennai once again communicated to the DigiDestined with good news and bad news.
The good news? Turns out that there's an EIGHTH Chosen Child to add to their team.
The bad news? Myotismon is on a mission to find and KILL this child, as they are somewhere in Japan in the Real World. His castle has a gate that can bring him there.
So there is the team's next mission: Stop Myotismon and find this Eighth Chosen Child!
