    Thank you very much for your time and posting. I am thinking about tinnitus (to which I have service-connected) related to can't sleep. I also have hypertension, really bad. Thank you again.

    The VA said that my hypertension is service-related and gave me a 0% rating for it. I got that going for me.

    I called to make an appointment with your firm and was told that you only provide services to unemployed and low income vets! Why is this and I feel you should put a disclaimer in your videos is folks don’t waste time calling and answering all those questions to be turned away. On a positive note, you all provide awesome information though and gave me a lot of ideas on a way forward with my denied claim.

    I was denied my sleep apnea claim and got a 0% for hypertension. I don’t know why they can’t be claimed as a secondary to my type two diabetes. It’s very frustrating to be stricken with these problems but not get any compensation.

    Whoever wrote that reg for the VA to recognize HBP at 160/90, is basically not wanting Veterans to be able to claim it period. I get headaches, some chest pain, and pain behind the eyes if my systolic hits 135-140 alone or if the diastolic reaches 90 alone. I either lay down and retake again and then there r other times I end up taking nitroglycerin.

    I have Hypertension but I keep it under control with med's however if I did not take meds my blood pressure would met the VA number for a VA Disability.

    Can I connect sleep apnea to my depression

  • @Sandy-jq5pp
    @Sandy-jq5pp 2 года назад +1

    Yes you talk these along with other lawfirms, but when it comes time to need help with the VA no one is interested in anyone who has 100 percent already and helping link service connected high blood pressure to sleep apnea or other conditions. I guess it doesn't pay the firms enough money to just help the Veteran get and extra 10 to 30 percent .

    Does every reading of your BP have to be over or at 160>90...Is there a percentage that must be over those numbers?

    I have a friend who had his first panic attack during a Navy DRB. He has been on medication ever since, over 10 years now. Can military discipline be accepted as a stressor for PTSD? He has a family history of mental illness, but this discipline triggered his panic attacks and he is now unable to work. Could he get service connected for a mental condition that was triggered by getting into trouble in the military?

    I was denied disability for obstructive sleep apnea yrs ago but I was still giving a CPAP machine …now I have developed type 2 diabetes, hypertension blood 🩸 pressure and gained some weight over yrs as well…I read that if have received a CPAP machine, I should be receiving a disability rating of 50% for benefits..I have recently watching your videos and learned quite a lot of info…I am diagnosed with depression through the va and I do receive benefits but need to make sure is the right step?

      you should definitely try and get that sorted out/looked at. When I was recently examined again for sleep apnea (it was 30% rated last time and worsened since then) they increased it to 50% and gave me a CPAP machine for treatment. It's wrong that tjey denied you the rating yet gave you treament. Smh. See if you can get help with that. They're robbing you. You may even get a chance to get backpay from the time they denied you. That'll be a big check! Good luck.

      A patient for hypertension while under treatment through high blood pressure medications may observe an improvement, and VA may deny his appeal based on the fact that the condition does meet the VA’s standard. But take away the medication ( not suggesting to do this ) then how would it be for the VA to deny proper adjudication.
