What are all the secondary conditions to hypertionsion
I am completely disabled with CHF. I lost mobility in 2020. The corresponding edema and ulceration led to that loss. I’ve also lost all feelings in my armies below the elbow including my hands. I also have an sustained bp of 190/115 and can be as much as 215/124. The VA already has given me a physical therapist, and occupational therapist, and a nurse/home health care. It’s so bad that I qualified for hudvash so rent is covered at 100 percent. A phone was also provided. Even though I am diagnosed, I don’t have a rating yet and I cannot find a VSO. I need help.
Does back pay apply to active duty members who filed a cliam while in service using the IDES program?

I have 10% rating for BP, 30% PTSD plus 4 other % issues, I Had heart issue while AD heart Murmur, now two surgery's later valve replacement bypass and a Aorta Aneurism repair. filed claim 6 years ago for Murmur before know what was all wrong, I am attempting to add the new info as my claim is remanded still. any thoughts?

I had a heart attack on 1/31/22. My intent to file date for coronary artery disease was noted as 2/7/2022 by the VA. As the claim is still in process, will I still be compensated at temporary 100% for 3 months at some point in time?
I'm currently rated at 60% (Prostate CA, PTSD, Shoulder) but had to have open heart surgery (triple bypass grafts) last month due to severe coronary artery disease. Had a lot of Angina attacks prior to the surgery. I'm in recovery at home now, my VSO submitted a load of medical documents related to this. What am I looking at for a new rating? I'm scheduled for a consult with VES next month. Their letter said there is no testing, just an interview regarding my surgery. I tried to find you web site to ask this question but didn't see one. I forgot to mention that I am a Vietnam Vet, stationed in Saigon area and exposed to Agent Orange during my medical treatment missions in outlying villages.

I have had 2 cardiac ablations, 10% service-connected for arrhythmias, but now I have an implanted cardiac monitor (continued problems) would that increase my measly 10%?

I was diagnosed with diabetes II in the 90s & with Ischemic Heart Disease sometime after 2000-2003 & it was connected to Agent Orange presumptions. I also have Hypertension, or High Blood Pressure. I receive compensation of only 10% for Diabetes II & 10% for Ischemic Heart Disease. I have many other disabling problems, e.g., angina, hearing loss, tinnitis, eye sight loss, thyroid gland swelling, [back, neck & hip pain], muscle cramps, or spasms, muscular- skeletal disorder, arthritis [type unknown], gun shot complications, peripheral neuropathy, PTSD, erectile dysfunction, insomnia & shortness of breath. Also, I will be 75 on Nov 11th, but can still get TBIU(?), since I can't work, or will my age matter? I am a Vietnam Veteran & have suffered some of these problems since 1971 & some since 1995, or so!!
I had stent placed on my artery due to artherioschlerosis.. what disability would I qualified for.1 year after my heart attack I suffered a stroke.youropinion pls.

I’m retired because of my heart and have a pacemaker (three so far), a Mitral valve and an Aortic valve . Should I get reevaluated at this time?
my husband has a c&p exam in a few days. he had a heart attack in 2009 and they placed a stent. he has artial stenosis has had 3 problems with loosing consciousness all documented. He has had a stroke, at least 1. has chest pains occasionally still. he has a 60% Extreme PTSD rating plus several other rating including Parkinsonism rating 30% total of 90% rating. Will this heart problem put him at 100%.

I was stationed at Camp Lejeune from 1975 through 1976. I've been diagnosed with hepatic stenosis with scaring. My question for you is that they found a hole in my heart, it has been repaired but only after I had a stroke. Is this related to exposure from the water contamination at Camp Lejeune. Was over250 beats per minute the ablation has helped reduce the svts significantly. I take several heart and blood pressure medication which has reduced the bp readings. Does that affect my rating

Where do I fall into?
I was examined by a Medical Doctor at Offit Air Force Base in Nebraska in 1985. He mentioned hypertinsion, high blood pressure and diabetes on my medical form. I was also in Korea with the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii
I now have a diagnosis of diabetes ll and taking Insulin four times a day. My kidneys are also suffering. I am suffering from PTSD due to MST. I was in the Triple Army Medical Hospital for 42 days. I was diagnosed with Hepatitis B in the middle of that stay. Think about for a moment. In the hospital for that long, not knowing what was wrong with me. It was somewhere in the middle of my that I was diagnosis for Hepatitis B. I truly hope you will consider me for that Q process. Did VA not have my Military Hospital Service Records when they denied my previous request for Service Connection. Think about that!
If I was rated 20% for hypertension service connected static since 2002, how can the Va now 2020 rate me at zero %. I’m taking 5 different hypertension medications

I am a Vietnam veteran exposed to Agent orange I have cardiovascular disease as a result I am rated 60%. I just experienced in September of this year My fourth heart attack in fraction rate at 10%. I have three previous stents and now I have five. My cardiologist just implanted a defibrillator and I want to file for 100%. In addition to that because of the die used over the years in my heart attacks my kidneys have failed. With this last event it was the fifth time that the dye was used. I am now on dialysis and I just recently filed for that. Have not heard anything yet. I have shortness of breath when I do anything strenuous, showering, getting dressed, walking short distances. I am considering using CCK to file for my 100% rating.

Questions? I am 77 yrs. of age. Had a heart attack in my 40,s. Had a stroke several years ago, & a second 2 yrs. ago. Serves a year in south Vietnam, 67-68. Also take blood pressure meds. Would any or some of this be considered by the VA as being caused by my high blood pressure?
The recent 2022 "PACT Act" has added hypertension and also made presumption of exposure for Thai veterans.
Blood Pressure, if you have controlled your BP with drugs how does BP readings help?

I recommend that you keep copies of ALL medical records. Medical providers are not required to keep your medical records forever and are often destroyed after 7 years.
Can you get diabetes by trauma suffered in accident in service?

Have a severe case of sleep apnea & congestive heart failure my heart specialists doctor answer said yes a severe case of sleep apnea can cause congestive heart failure and other issues ! When I served in the Navy Vietnam Era they didn’t test you for sleep apnea wasn’t in the physical exam you took before entering Navy I’am service connected now due to a back injury ! They deny my sleep apnea and congestive heart failure related plus several other issues which I have in 2013 had congestive heart failure an the VA Hospital in Amarillo Texas give me a sleep test in 2013 confirmed I had a severe case of sleep apnea ! VA denied all these claims ! They treating me but don’t recognize my claims !
If hypertension is controlled by medication, does the VA take that into consideration?
I am a Vietnam Nam era Army veteran that was exposed to Agent Orange, Fu Gas and other defoliants. I am a 74 year old with Type 2 diabetes somewhat controlled via diet, Metformin, and Insulin 2 times daily, and suffer from Neuropathy in my feet. I have heart disease, and had 5X bypass 4 years ago. I have a bad back, I suffer from Sleep Apnia and have used a C Pap for 15 years. Basically, I am a mess. I have never filed for any disability benefits. Are there lawyers that can help with filing claims? I have cognitive issues that prevent me from technological usage. Bottom line is can someone help me get started with filing a claim?
