Fall is my favorite season!
Hi Sarah. Your autumn bee is absolutely stunning. I am so sorry you are not able to “walk”. I severed my ACL a few years ago and had surgery also to do reconstruction. I totally understand how you feel. However, us as moms it is soooooo hard not to do what we normally do and have others help us. But we have to learn when things like this happen that we have to do what the doc tells us as it is what is best. I had to recover away (at my parents) from my husband and 2 boys after my surgery. That was awful. We live on the 3rd floor apartment and I couldn’t do stairs. My parents are in a ranch house so it was better. And they live an hour and a half away. Hang in there. It stinks I know. But just think how much stitching you will get done. 😊. I can’t believe we are in the fall season now.
Sarah, I’m so sorry about your ankle! I had a torn tendon in my foot a year ago so I can relate! I had to have surgery and couldn’t walk! Hang in there and keep stitching! Love all your beautiful projects! Sounds like you have a lot of support from your family…hope that you have a speedy recovery!
I have never stitched a sampler. I'm looking for a beautiful Christmas one and a everyday one. Can't wait til I find the perfect one!!!!!

Fall and fall colors are my favorites!!! I decorate in Fall colors all year long. Sorry about your foot!

I broke an ankle many years ago. It was so hard to maneuver once I was on crutches. I didn't want to FALL.

Oh my holy heck, I’m so sorry that your injury was so extreme, sending love and healing vibes your way🥰 Thank goodness for stitching, I don’t do well being immobile but if I were to be, I think stitching would save my sanity! I love your fall stitches…actually…I love all of your stitching!

So happy you’re in good spirits! I was only down a week with no weight on my foot and I felt like that week would never be over! Stitching helped me pass the time, so I’m sure you’re going to get in lots of quality in your projects! Happy stitching!

Praying that you have a speedy recovery. I recently had back surgery on Aug. 29th for a compressed nerve which affected by right leg. The first 3 weeks after surgery I could only stand or lay down. That was soooo HARD!!! I did however, figure out to stitch on some smalls. Now, I’m able to sit for short periods but no bending over. I’m still in a big back brace for another 3 weeks. I definitely feel you!!

Poor you! A fall is never pleasant. Hope you have a speedy recovery!!! Of course, there are worse things than being forced to stitch😀😀
So glad to see your beautiful face and that you are smiling! I am sure that there have been tears and struggles, but you are making the best of it and getting lots of stitching in. Sending good vibes for your recovery. I had an ankle issue a few years ago & I know how frustrating it is to not be mobile. Love your Autumn Bee. The colors really pop on that fabric. I also really like your Autumn Leaf. The blues are adding so much to that piece. We're finally getting Fall in my area & I'm looking forward to the leaves changing.

Bless your heart! I am not on instagram so I was not aware you had broken your ankle. I broke my leg once so I know what it is like to have to sit all day. I am glad you have so many stitching projects. My husband had back surgery in June and was walking in our neighborhood and fell on some slippery red clay last weekend. He’s lucky that he is only very sore. It doesn’t feel like Fall here where I live but wish it would arrive soon. Prayers for a remarkable healing. Thanks so much for sharing!

In March of 2020, I slipped on an extension cord in the garage and broke 2 bones in my ankle and tore a ligament or tendon (I can't remember which). I had surgery the next day & I'm held together with some hardware. Originally, the doctor said it would be longer before I could put weight on it, but it was "only" about 6 weeks before I was in a boot. I hope your recovery is speedier than predicted!

I just got the chart by Liz Mathews that you showed. I can't decide if I want to do it on the two different colors, or all on blue. Yours is looking so good, I just might do it. I can't make up my mind. But it is a perfect fall stitch. Sorry to hear about your broken ankle, but glad that you have good helpers at home. Take care!

Every year I fall in love with fall. I love the colors of the leaves, I love the crisp air, and I love the wonderful smells coming out of kitchens. It feels great to stitch pumpkins and witches and beautiful samplers with all of the fall colored floss. So here is to fall. Do you fall in love with fall too?

I'm sorry about your accident. I know that had to be painful. At least you'll have stitching to keep you occupied while you heal. Your bee is gorgeous! I love it. I've been looking at that pattern for awhile. I really like the acorn and Autumn leaf patterns. Fall is my favorite time of year.

I broke my leg and had to have a rod and screws in my ankle and knee….it brought me back to stitching. I’m sending prayers. I have a new stash of Pirate Robin floss. I love it ❤
