It's 3:15 am here in Vancouver, Canada. I just got in after spending time with a dear friend whose mother just passed away yesterday at the ripe ol' age of 93. Thank you Ronnie and Ding for helping me to free my mind right now with your amazing match.
Ronnie has a soft spot for Ding, I think because Ding is both really good and he's also very respectful at the table. Excellent table manners. Well done to both players!
in an interview, Ronnie mentioned being close to Ding's family. 'They look after him" when he is in China - he told us. Friendship goes back many many years. A case whereby Ding was confused about a match not ending when he thought it was the case and was in virtual tears. Ronnie put an arm over his shoulder to console him. it was a very intimate moment.
It is always a pleasure watching my two favorite players on the same table. Nice highs and lows throughout the match. Never predictable. Was really on the edge to the last moments. Fantastic entertainment and a really good crowd cheering for both of them!
Great game guys. Wish I had a cueing action like Ding , that was perfect. I have to concentrate so hard when aligning my shots but he made it look so easy. Thanks for the upload.
One feels that this is something of a turning point for Ding, who has been of late in the doldrums, hardly playing up to his abilities. Great to see him on form again. And his average shot time almost equalled Ronnie's!
@@SS-yn4oc he is highly regarded in the UK and globally (no surprises there). He's a good mate of Ronnie's too - there is a ton of mutual respect between them and Ronnie's warm congratulations at the end of the match demonstrates this. Great to see Ding on form again!
I will always rooting for Ding even when he’s playing Ronnie, growing up watching him winning his UK championship in 09, beating Higgins with that mid distance red to the left corner. Ding’s cue action and touch is perfect but as soon as Ronnie gets into the balls in the forth frame I felt the difference. The genius cueing that is so unique.
ding is the bobby fisher of snooker.not only plying the table as it lays but also creating shots that were not possible earlier. best snooker i have ever seen!!
Great match. It's as though both players agreed beforehand to dispense with safety and just go for all their shots. Marvellous stuff!! It's games like this that make the Gods happy that they decided to create this reality with its 3D matter and lifeforms skilled at manipulating it 🤔😁
I love Ronnie´s quick and accurate game but, unfortunately, you cannot work like a genius every time. Ding is a talented player to win trophies for years to come.
Do those tips have any kind of rubber fibers mixed with the leather at all?? the grip on the cue ball is incredible. the slightest contact generates such a spin that is impressive to me. I usually play pool but use a snooker cue, and lately I've more and more worked on the screwing all together. Although when i see this i feel like i have a world to learn still.
1ball_1wall Hi To be honest the tip may help, but the whole cue ball reaction from these top players, is 99% hard work, there cue action is impeccable. If a player can master his shot routine, cue technique & timing and keep them around the clock to high standard, he will always make this game look so effortless and fluid.
@@QXZ9027MKII Thans for taking the time to answer. You are totally right. They make it look so easy it's tempting to believe it actually is. I have at least moved away from the period where I miscued so badly that the cue ball was flying all over the place. but yes, because of regular practice. thanks again!!
Can someone explain the bar on the right side of the screen at 5:24? I understand that 30 is the minimum Ding can make since he's currently at 30 when it's displayed. I understand that 145 is the maximum score possible unless Ronnie were to foul. What is the 71 in the middle of the bar and what is the yellow line?
The yellow section is the amount of the total score that he has on his break (30). 71 is the break that Ding would require to make it so that Ronnie would need snookers to win.
Ding's main weakness is lack of stamina. Therefore he prefers to finish games quickly. It's understandable that he doesn't go for century when he has sizable lead.

They love each other as brothers. And, yes, Ding is pure class.

Am I the only one that likes watching Ding as much as Ronnie? I’d love to see Ronnie mentor Ding.

Ding doesn't need any help - Ronnie made a serious miscalculation & that's that!

literally my thoughts
And let's face it, can't be easy for a non-English person to play Ronnie in the UK championship. Even though, great to see the support for Ding.

Ding has been quite quick in recent years I think he’s just getting his technique dialed a little more
Rumour has it that Ding started the Coronavirus
