@@JolienBrebels the WEN lathe is good and heavy, but I built a heavy wood base and bolted it down to it. Also, I got the 5 speed version and I kind of wish I had more speed control. Also, get a good chuck. I only spent $50 and it is not the best. It works, but kind of small and hard to clamp really tight. ll in all, I am very happy with it. 5/5 The real cost is in all the tools! That never ends...

Nice work as always Jolien; I see that you use tape on your work piece when crosscutting with your DeWalt SMCS. The use of tape does not really eliminate tear out completely and if you don't mind taking a little advice from an old pro like myself, you will have no tear out if you use the correct blade in your saw; the blade you are using looks like a ripping blade or at best a multi purpose blade which will cause some tear out when crosscutting timber; to prevent this and get a clean, perfect tear out free cut every time you need to use a blade with at least 80 teeth and this will ensure you get a perfect cut every time and no tape required. Hope you don't mind my making this suggestion but your work is so good it does deserve having the right tool for the job and you will be delighted with the results using a blade such as I have mentioned. And as I mentioned previously, your voice-over is terrific and delightful; keep up the good work.

Lintzagen of zaaglinten? Die laatste verslijt (breek) ik bij bosjes. Ik heb de oorzaak helaas nog niet gevonden (waarschijnljk ligt de fout bij mezelf, maar ik heb geen idee wat ik verkeerd doe)
@@jorgenlannock Mijn zaaglinten verslijten niet, ze breken na verloop van tijd (onder het zagen). Als ik de zaaglintmachine langere tijd niet gebruik ontspan ik het lint (blijft wel in de machine), voor het zagen span ik het lint dan weer goed gaan, controleer of het nergens aanloopt en oefen zo weinig mogelijk druk uit. Toch heb ik om de haverklap zaaglintbreuk.
@@hansdegroot8549 dat is echt niet normaal hoor. Ikzelf heb nog nooit een zaaglint gebroken. Na een tijdje snijden ze gewoon niet meer en hoor je de motor morren mischoen teveel spanning op je blad?
