It feels like America decided to take a 4-year long sightseeing tour of the world on 20 January 2021, and hired an incompetent house-sitting crew to maintain the place. The guy who supposedly runs the house-sitting company promised to regularly check in with America, giving routine updates, alerts on what needs to be fixed, &c, and generally reassure America that the house is in good hands. Instead, he rarely ever calls, and when he does, he always sounds like he's right in the middle of having a mild stroke. The Nanny Cams show some employees washing the windows with oily rags; one employee mopping the real hardwood floors with industrial solvents; an employee feeding the cats dog food, feeding the dogs fish food, and feeding the fish bits of day-old pizza. The toilet is clogged, the sink is leaking, the front door is always left wide open, and that same carton of milk has been sitting on the counter for two weeks straight. A bunch of people from a couple of Cities away heard tale about how much nicer America's house is than their squalid living conditions, that the door is always open, and that the house-sitting crew is totally cool with squatters.
All the potted plants are turning brown and withered from lack of watering; the front yard is somehow meticulous, yet the back and side yards have become an overgrown jungle. No one knows where the car is; the mail and newspapers are carelessly tossed onto several growing piles in the living room; and I'm pretty sure a family of raccoons have made a home in the kitchen pantry.
    ...
Nothing is right since Biden began occupying the White House. Everything is chaotic, the present and future is uncertain, and hope (always the very last thing to go) is the only thing keeping us going. I hope the United States will still be United by November of next year. Every day feels like we're inching closer and closer to some as-yet-unseen apocalypse. I have to ride a cheap, 49cc scooter to work because I can't afford the costs of owning a car; my paycheck is barely enough to cover rent, utilities, internet (my only source of entertainment), and very basic food- which I cook myself since I can't afford to eat out.
Joe Biden is an awful "President," an awful person, a total embarrassment, and I can't wait until he's voted out of Office. America needs to come back home. Unfortunately, it's going to take A LOT of time, money, and resources to fix the damage caused by these incompetent house-keepers.

The ironic thing here is, the only reason to buy a suppressor is if you already own the firearm. A background check to purchase a firearm comes back, usually, in minutes. So, other than the tax stamp grab, for an item that often costs as much as the firearm, there is no real reason for this process to take so long. Think about this, it takes longer to get a suppressor purchase approved than it does to do a Background investigation to be approved access to Top Secret information.

Seriously, the US is so behind on clean energy compared to us in Europe. It makes a big difference to have most of our mail carriers now driving electronic vehicles. Many of the poor farmers in our community use solar panels to produce power.
My friend who owns a well-insulated house with solar panels is one of the few who survived the past winters with low costs compared to other friends who saw their bills increase from 300 euro to 1200 euro monthly (an extreme case). There is a clean way to use natural resources: wind and solar energy.

Nuclear provides 20% for the entire country, solar 2.8%, wind 9%, geothermal 2%, biomass 5%, natty gas 39%, coal 19.5%. Coal is dropping like crazy and nuclear is regaining interest. Behind? Easy to replace a power source in a small country of less than 10 million than one with 300+ million. More than a few countries there use coal, Germany uses more coal % wise than the U.S. now. Nuclear is far better than solar or wind, both of those take up way too much land and we depended on China for rare earth materials. It takes about 500 barrels of oil to mine enough lithium for ONE car battery. That's enough gas to drive a relatively efficient gas-powered car 100,000-200,000 miles. But lithium batteries are prone to explode, end up as hazardous waste with nothing recyclable.

There is nothing “more affordable” about green energy. It is and should be seen as supplemental to conventional power generation. Texas has a stand alone grid. Several years ago they saw their grid collapse when the 18% of their green energy went offline because of low temperatures and a few inches of snow.
