I like the idea of thinking of them as goals. Im now set up to record at home so i want to start to get more creative and produce and share better quality short videos of me playing, where ive actually put some thought into what im playing and its more structured. And also play more often, even if jts just for a short amount of time.
Thanks for watching mate and happy new year! That's great news that you've got yourself setup for home recording and are looking to share your playing - that's brilliant! It's definitely a rewarding experience and something i'm very glad I did that's for sure!
Hi Chris, yeah absolutely agree. I'm in the process now of figuring out my plan for the year. The best outcome, having found someone I'm comfortable collaborating with by year end. A songwriter or even a bass player to team up with.
Hi Peter, thanks for taking the time to watch this video! Collaboration is a great goal and you're totally right to explore musicians outside of the guitar too! Best of luck with the search, do let me know how you get on! 🙏🏻
Nice one Chris, some great points. Getting out there is definitely on my list but jam nights can be a bit sink or swim, so a collab with another guitarist or singer sounds ideal 👌 If I could offer advice to novice guitarists like me, it’d be this…The YT algorithm doesn’t know where you’re at in your playing. Sometimes it pays to ask a player or teacher you respect to show you the way and fill in some gaps. It may save some time better spent enjoying making music Cheers 🎉 🎸
Thanks for watching bud! Yeah I know what you mean about jam nights, that’s the beauty of collabing with another guitarist in a bit more of a relaxed setting, you can find your feet, build some confidence and then maybe go to jam night together - a bit of musical comradery goes along way 👌🏻. Great advice here too, that’s what I love about being a guitar teacher, it’s that 1-2-1, tailored experience - something I found very helpful when I started out! 🎸 Appreciate you taking the time to comment mate, best of luck with your 2024 goals - do let us know how you get on 👍🏻

My goal could be to find the time to play my guitar 🫣🤣
Definitely a good place to start mate! 😂👌🏻
