Well, your video gave me the inspiration to do my cluster, which is the same color as yours. Got my paint mixed up and took it to my local painter and had him paint it up. Got the bezels from Collier Classics and just buffed my speedo lens. As for the aluminum gage faces, I used some fine Carnauba wax cleaner that I bought at the county fair and lightly polished them with a micro fiber. It looks brand new - Now I got to get my crusty old wheel fixed.

Hey that gauge cluster turned out really nice! I just found your channel while searching for my 63 Galaxie. I think I will try to do the gauges and some other small projects this winter. Thankfully our Galaxies are becoming more popular so parts like the gauge trim is available. I think I'll try my hand at using some chrome paint first just to see how it comes out. Looking forward to your next project on the Galaxie, I love the color combination... Beautiful car!

@@OmarRamirezGalaxie Great job! As jewllake said, Old Car Alley completely rebuilt his rusted out 66 convertible, and has all the knowledge you will have some day by watching and learning from people like him. He redid some chrome pieces on the 66's dash by using some product I cant recall, but after trying a few, he found one that dang near replicates chrome. I know the vlog is toward the end as the dash was one of the last things he tackled. You really should check him out, and watch all his vlogs on that 66. I'm certain you'll learn a lot of needed info for your current, and future builds. He literally did a frame off resto without really removing the frame. The car had rusted out exterior metal that need to be cut out, and newly formed pieces cut, and welded back in, etc. Howard has a lot of knowledge all of us car enthusiasts would kill to have, give him a look, and maybe even contact him if you have questions. Ah, I found the link to his spraying the plastic chrome pieces, they look great, but you do need to buys the sprayer, and product. But, as he said, he'll now have this knowledge, and the tools to do it with. ruclips.net/video/GP2aQ7mS2Zk/видео.html Anyway, have been binge watching your vlogs, and you're doing great, look forward to more. 👍✌
