Yes, Italy is so amazing from the landscapes to the people to the food. We didn’t get to visit the most southernmost part, but that means we’ll just have to go back.
You haven't truly seen Italy until you get to Tuscany and specifically Florence. I will be spending a month there in the Fall but going to Amalfi and Sicily. Italy is my happy place. So glad it is now open. Stay safe and enjoy yourself.

Rome is my heart and SOUL ❤️I live in Paris so I visit so I must say I enjoyed his video but girl you got to stay away from all tourist things and explore outside it and see how the Italian people really live and eat. I booked my Airbnb in the suburbs of Rome and went from there . I will be heading again to Italy this year and will hopefully find the same area to stay in . Also, don’t forget to take yourself out for dinner somewhere nice and dressed up

I highly recommend you go to Florence, Naples, Venice and a place called Campione or Campione d'Italia near Switzerland if you want a blissful time in Italy as Rome doesn't come close to those parts of Italy also if you do go to Venice please try kayaking, Canoeing and maybe Scuba Diving also a helicopter ride over Milan or Rome I guarantee you'll love those activities.

I think you are amazing. You are living the life I want to be living. I'm in my 50's and mum to a teenager. Perhaps when she leaves home I can get to live a bit like this. I never got to backpack around the world after University as I intended as I fell in love with someone who didn't want to travel.
Love Rome. Back in 2013 I spent a year with my son traveling and we spent a month in Rome. We also did a month in Sicily and LOVED it!!! Out the 2 Sicily is my fav!

I hope you have time to take in the Amalfi Coast in the South particularly Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. I travelled solo there about 10 years ago. It's amazing. A big draw for me was the winding mountain roads from Amalfi to Positano. The roads literally wind up and around the mountains. Breath-taking scenery!

Wow how funny we were there in 18 and saw all the same places you were at…our hotel was in downtown Rome within 1 BLM of the fountain and the big mall.If still there you really must do the colosseum tour the guides are awesome and there’s so much historical info to learn!!
I was in Rome with family a couple of years ago (pre-pandemic) and it was packed. I can't remember if we made it to Trevi Fountain, but we did the Vatican and some other sites. I surely want to go again. I loved it. @Good Energi, if you can, take the train down to Sperlonga on the coast. It has beaches and these amazing homes built into the cliff above beaches. Check out the La Playa as a place to stay.
Omg... We have traveled to some of the same places. I really enjoyed my European experience. Traveling to Italy was interesting. I like Italian foods! It is very rare I have meet someone who has traveled abroad. Thanks for sharing your experience!
