Hi Gav, been using this a while. If you select the int/rad switch on the vhf selector panel when you are ready. It will start the push back procedure for you without going into the GSX menu. It will prompt you to select how you want to push so you are in control.
Great presentation. I just started playing with this combo today. I would suggest adding the extra fuel when doing the flight planning in simbrief. That way you don’t need to hustle over to the loading page in the aircraft each time.

I think someone already mentioned but the INT swith on the radio panel wil adavance GSX to the next stage of boarding. Eg pressing it when refueling will also start boarding. Apu bleed on also triggers GSX to remove ground equipment/chocks INT switch can then be used to call for pushback.
Love it too! Such a great job he has done! By the way, it runs fine if you start the Sim on the apron and after calling the staircase! This way you will have a chance to choose the airline through GSX in case the parking spot is not for the airline you are flying.
love it! just one thing, about the pushback there... you can actually put the INT switch on the acp (audio control panel) to the INT position and the pushback will begin. you will just have to open the menu to choose the direction/route of the pushback :) but still, great vid! keep it up gav!
this is an amazing program. I tiwicked couple of things. I deselected autoposition box which disturbs initial positioning. I also changed fuel flow to 12kg/sec.this helps to keep refueling even after catering. you can manually request boarding so you can see boarding while refueling. in voice control box I put my atc program name so I can control volume of it
Do we still need to use this program? The only issue I have is that the fuel takes so long to finish sometimes up to 20 min. I have the rate at the GSX settings as high as I can get it which IS 10.

I’ve had my eye on GSX ages, and this video has almost convinced me to get it (as a Fenix kinda bloke). I’ve always been put off by what seems to be a ball ache of an installation. It the latest version still a task to set up, or quite easy now? Any help with that question would be very appreciated from this community 😊 I hear the latest version is a 90 page manual, all in English 🫣 Still a bit put off to be honest.
Same here! For months I could not decide to get GSX, especially after the catastrophic launch. Also, it scared me to install it after I read about all the problems and I had absolutely no clue how to set it up or what the profiles meant. Since reviews and the general opinion got better, I could not but get it during the FSDT summer sale with 30% off and can tell you, it's GREAT! The passenger animations alone are worth it, let alone the push back and all the other neat little details that make the airport so much more vivid! The installation is self- explanatory. Just run it and it will do everything alone. But IT TAKES TIME, oh boy! I think it took me ca. 2h. But again, it's just time consuming, not difficult. There are great videos out there how to set up the airplanes and parking positions to your liking. Or you just download the respective profile and everything works really well. No more passengers floating mid- air etc. It appears solid now. Have fun!
Hi, I download the GSX Fenix tool but it doesn't going to start automatically. Do you have to activate something in the plane. Do you have to change some settings in the EFB? Help
As others have mentioned you can use the INT switch to initiate PB but, at present, there’s no way to specify PB direction without use of the GSX menu which is a shame. I’m hoping that either the Dev or FENIX themselves can fix this as in the FSLabs MCDU. Loading is not perfect and sometimes up to 70 pax can be offloaded and they have to get back onboard. 😂. But it’s a worthwhile addon.
I got some Issues reported lately (e.g. only 10 Pax boarded) which where due to a corrupt GSX Installation. For some only a clean/fresh GSX Installation solved that. Maybe run "Check" in the FSDT Installer a couple of Times, in the Hope that this may fix it! If Issues with Boarding is not always the Case, it could also be related to the usual SimConnect Hickup when to many SimObjects where spawned. Sadly nothing anybody can do about except Asobo! :/ Don't have planned to do any more than calling Push-Back (and stoping/confirming it through the INT/RAD Switch) since it is highly dynamic. It is more than just selecting Left or Right in the Menu unfortunately. (In the End Fenix2GSX does exactly what a User can call in the Menu, just that the Menu is "virtual")
Wish that I could use this plane using easy flight and route setup like the "normal" a320 that comes with msfs. I never get it to work with simbrief and I don't have much time to learn it. The last time I desided to try it just once more, no buttons even worked in it. For me, complete wasted money.
I'm guessing it's just the order, so that they start with the passengers at the front and make their way to the back. (In the video he had a full cabin)
A little late to the party, but I can tell you that the passengers will balance themselves out in a partially filled cabin. Some random seats will be left empty throughout the plane as the passengers board.
Hello, i am now using this add on but i am getting a strange problem with passenger loading. If i am on gate with no jetway the two stairs are applied and the passengers board the aircraft as expected. But if i use a jetway as soon as the fuel is added and boarding begins the jetway retracts and i only get 10 passengers. I am unable to get any more than 10 passengers. Any help or is there a Fenix2GSX discord?
Sounds like an Issue with SimConnect (which only Asobo could fix). If you're using AI/Online Traffice try to disable it and if the Issue still persists. But this might also be related to a "corrupted" GSX Installation. There where similiar Cases with only 10 Passenger boarded which could only be solved through a fresh/Clean GSX Installation. Also please ensure the Passenger density is not higher then "Very dense"
okai. So i watched the video several times now. in the beginning on the download ists being mentioned to download the wasm stuff Then what? I continued to download(net. v7 runtime) and do the rest as told in the video. i am lost. and cant get this to work
@easyjetsimpilot For Pushback you need only seatbelt on, beacon on and then press the Int Button on the Radio Panel and gsx Start automaticly the Service 😊
Push-Back can only be called through the INT/RAD Switch (or the GSX menu of course). Removing the Ground-Equipment is either done when Parking Brake Set + External Power disconnected + Beacon On -or- when Push-Back is called. The Later does not do any Checks. Seat-Belt Sign are not checked at all ;)
Any tips for using SLC alongside this. When I run GSX and SLC sometimes the aircraft starts pushing back as soon as SLC has finished loading and the doors are closed. Ta. Great vid as always.
@@Level10Productions SLC = self loading cargo. This is a passenger simulation tool as well as a cabin announcement tool. Gavin has been using it ever since.
This looks decent, it forever annoys me that you have to click the GSX tab twice every time you want do something. At least this programme takes care of the majority of things

@sim_play_race Under "Config" in the FSDT Installer you can assign a Hotkey for the Menu. When the Menu is enabled (=Icon white) it will directly open after pressing the configured Hotkey. Depending on your Setup/Tools you could bind it to Joystick Button or something. But I totally get it, moved the whole GSX Menu to the StreamDeck 😅

Yes there is. Use the GSX setup menu from within the main GSX drop down menu (near the bottom of menu). You can specify how fast or slow GSX boards the PAX. I have mine set to outrageously fast which looks great on my PC but can potentially overload your graphics card but you get a great looking line of ppl boarding/deboarding.

But be careful - the "Passenger density" Setting should not be higher than "Very Dense" (second to last). The "Extreme" Setting is too extreme and could lead to Problems ;)
Because the OFP provides you with the fuel from a planning perspective, enough for your trip, a go around, then diversion. What it doesn't take into account is en-route weather, NOTAMs etc etc. This is where the pilots will use experience to judge this then decide how much fuel they're taking, based on the OFP fuel. The flight plan (OFP) doesn't change, just the fuel you want to take based on the information the OFP is providing you with.
@Easyjetsimpilot it does if you open the fuel planning drop down box when planning in simbreif then where it says extra at the bottom you can change KGS to mins and for example type in 30 for 30 mins extra fuel or whatever you think you might need for the route
Yes, but this is then extra fuel that the flight planners would provide you with. This is designed for if you wish to tanker fuel. Irl, if the captain decides they want to take more fuel than the OFP, they don't request a new OFP.
I love the idea of this add-on but am having some problems. The stairs connect and fuel and catering trucks arrive. Catering then starts but no refuelling…. Which means no boarding. I would be most grateful For some help…. Btw: I have auto stairs etc turned off on the EFB options….
Hmm, that is Strange - directly at Session start? There can be such Issues when SimConnect gets overloaded by too many SimObjects. Try to disable AI, Traffic, Ground-Services for AI (if avail with the Tool used), GSX Ground Clutter and if the Issue still occurs after that. I've also seen some strange Issues because the GSX Installation is somehow "corrupted". Try if multiple Checks in the FSDT Installer fix it, else a GSX clean/fresh Install might be neccessary. But do note that you can call Boarding anytime after Flightplan Import via INT/RAD Switch or In Game Menu (as described in the Readme). Don't know if that would be a viable Workaround in that Situation - I just can't tell what exactly is going on ^^ For further Analysis you would need to open an Issue on GitHub or join the GSX Community Discord so you could share the Logs with me.
@@Fragtalitymany thanks for your quick response. I have only just completed a reinstall of GSX (which is still horribly unstable). I do use FSLTL. This evening, I departed from the same stand I always use. This time the info on the board was not as detailed as usual (no departure times etc). By clicking the bit switch I got the fuel tanker to connect and got the refuelling message on the ECAM…. But no fuel was loaded… the fuel counter on the display and EFB did not increase. Again I had to resort to loading the aircraft from the EFB. I ONLY fly in VR…. Has this been tested in VR?

Please try with FSLTL disabled, Airport Vehicles / Ground Aircraft / Workers in the MSFS Settings disabled (=0) and GSX Ground Clutter disabled (FSDT Installer -> Config). Board in the Sense of VDGS? Don't have anything to do with that - that is populated by GSX through import SimBrief. You likely forgot to set these (GSX In Game Menu -> Settings). On that occasion: please follow the Readme closely and check the GSX Settings.
@@FragtalityHi. I have tested this add-on every which way and have concluded that is simply does not work in VR. The gate extends to the aircraft as it should. The catering vehicles do their thing as they should. The fuel king truck arrives but does nothing until the Int switch in the cockpit is pressed. The fueling truck then connects and loads 20kg of fuel before disconnecting. After that the add-on does not work… at the other end it does nothing. I set up the add-on for a friend on his 2D system and it works perfectly…. So I know it is nothing to do with the way I have installed it. I really hope that you will pay attention to us VR users in future updates…. VR is the area where this add-on would be most useful.
@@Drmerlin604 Woah, easy Mister. No Reason to be so accusatory. There is no "non-vr-only-code" or anything like that in Fenix2GSX. The Tool does not have anything to do with Graphics respectively the Graphic Setup does not require a different API to be used. Exactly the Fuel Situation is something which can happen when the SimConnect Interface or the whole System are overloaded. That can lead to Situations where the Tool gets zero Values reported via SimConnect which in this Situation makes Fenix2GSX believe that GSX will send another truck since it has disconnected the Fuel Hose (and the GSX Animation stopping because the Plane/Fenix2GSX don't increase the Fuel anymore). I'd recommend to try Version 0.3.3. I have reworked some Parts of the Code to not be so reliant anymore of getting correct Values. It may help in certain Situations, but the root Cause will be still there. Also, since you have a Setup to compare to, I'd recommend to compare what other Differences there are with you Friends and your Setup (apart from VR). Like already offered, you are more than welcome to open an Issue on GitHub or contact me on the GSX Community Discord. But I can not help you here any further since I don't have any Logs to look at and because I don't have any Idea if you tried any of my former Tips.

No effect at all - it's just a visual thing.

Turn off the options in SLC that conflict with what you want gsx to do.

Nope! It just needs the MobiFlight WASM Module, which is free (and fully useable)

Because the OFP provides you with the fuel from a planning perspective, enough for your trip, a go around, then diversion. What it doesn't take into account is en-route weather, NOTAMs etc etc.
This is where the pilots will use experience to judge this then decide how much fuel they're taking, based on the OFP fuel.
The flight plan (OFP) doesn't change, just the fuel you want to take based on the information the OFP is providing you with.
@Easyjetsimpilot it does if you open the fuel planning drop down box when planning in simbreif then where it says extra at the bottom you can change KGS to mins and for example type in 30 for 30 mins extra fuel or whatever you think you might need for the route
Yes, but this is then extra fuel that the flight planners would provide you with. This is designed for if you wish to tanker fuel.
Irl, if the captain decides they want to take more fuel than the OFP, they don't request a new OFP.
How do you launch Fenix2GSX?
You can set it to auto launch with the sim using instructions on their website, or simply click the exe file to launch it.
I hope Fenix adds this stuff in v2

I love the idea of this add-on but am having some problems. The stairs connect and fuel and catering trucks arrive. Catering then starts but no refuelling…. Which means no boarding.

Hmm, that is Strange - directly at Session start?
There can be such Issues when SimConnect gets overloaded by too many SimObjects. Try to disable AI, Traffic, Ground-Services for AI (if avail with the Tool used), GSX Ground Clutter and if the Issue still occurs after that.
I've also seen some strange Issues because the GSX Installation is somehow "corrupted". Try if multiple Checks in the FSDT Installer fix it, else a GSX clean/fresh Install might be neccessary.
But do note that you can call Boarding anytime after Flightplan Import via INT/RAD Switch or In Game Menu (as described in the Readme). Don't know if that would be a viable Workaround in that Situation - I just can't tell what exactly is going on ^^ For further Analysis you would need to open an Issue on GitHub or join the GSX Community Discord so you could share the Logs with me.

I have only just completed a reinstall of GSX (which is still horribly unstable). I do use FSLTL.
This evening, I departed from the same stand I always use. This time the info on the board was not as detailed as usual (no departure times etc). By clicking the bit switch I got the fuel tanker to connect and got the refuelling message on the ECAM…. But no fuel was loaded… the fuel counter on the display and EFB did not increase. Again I had to resort to loading the aircraft from the EFB.
I ONLY fly in VR…. Has this been tested in VR?

Please try with FSLTL disabled, Airport Vehicles / Ground Aircraft / Workers in the MSFS Settings disabled (=0) and GSX Ground Clutter disabled (FSDT Installer -> Config).
Board in the Sense of VDGS? Don't have anything to do with that - that is populated by GSX through import SimBrief. You likely forgot to set these (GSX In Game Menu -> Settings). On that occasion: please follow the Readme closely and check the GSX Settings.
@@FragtalityHi. I have tested this add-on every which way and have concluded that is simply does not work in VR.
The gate extends to the aircraft as it should.
The catering vehicles do their thing as they should.
The fuel king truck arrives but does nothing until the Int switch in the cockpit is pressed. The fueling truck then connects and loads 20kg of fuel before disconnecting.
After that the add-on does not work… at the other end it does nothing.
I set up the add-on for a friend on his 2D system and it works perfectly…. So I know it is nothing to do with the way I have installed it.
I really hope that you will pay attention to us VR users in future updates…. VR is the area where this add-on would be most useful.

Woah, easy Mister. No Reason to be so accusatory.
There is no "non-vr-only-code" or anything like that in Fenix2GSX. The Tool does not have anything to do with Graphics respectively the Graphic Setup does not require a different API to be used.
Exactly the Fuel Situation is something which can happen when the SimConnect Interface or the whole System are overloaded. That can lead to Situations where the Tool gets zero Values reported via SimConnect which in this Situation makes Fenix2GSX believe that GSX will send another truck since it has disconnected the Fuel Hose (and the GSX Animation stopping because the Plane/Fenix2GSX don't increase the Fuel anymore).
I'd recommend to try Version 0.3.3. I have reworked some Parts of the Code to not be so reliant anymore of getting correct Values. It may help in certain Situations, but the root Cause will be still there.
Also, since you have a Setup to compare to, I'd recommend to compare what other Differences there are with you Friends and your Setup (apart from VR).
Like already offered, you are more than welcome to open an Issue on GitHub or contact me on the GSX Community Discord. But I can not help you here any further since I don't have any Logs to look at and because I don't have any Idea if you tried any of my former Tips.
