- [Recorded 5-5-19] Holy crap, this thing is WAY WORSE than it was when I last filmed it. This elevator seems to always be unmaintained because this thing should not have gotten this bad. The amount of jolting and vibrating at the top floor is absolutely INSANE...but so damn fun! This thing broke in 2009 and it was finally fixed in 2017 when new owners took over this garage. Sadly, it might break again if they don't watch the oil level. Other than the bad oil issue, this is a nice elevator. It's not every day I see a hospital-sized elevator in a parking structure. This Impulse has the chirp instead of the buzz. A few weeks after this was filmed, the tank got filled (thankfully). Enjoy this wild ride!

It's arguably more epic from the outside. This elevator is surprisingly not vandalized much, if at all. This is a parking garage I would not expect to find such dramatic mechanical neglect.
Wow. So sad to see a Dover hydraulic elevator in this type of terrible condition, since many people say that Dover made some of the best hydraulic elevators.

If it was shut down for 8 years and restarted but losing oil, I wonder if the cylinder has a crack. It could be leaking oil into the ground.

I think this thing might be an oil guzzler lol. It's always low on oil. I remember this thing very well.

Uh oh, might have a crack in the hydraulic cylinder or pipeline (although if it were pipes it wouldn't be a hard fix) but I would've been riding this thing for 15 minutes straight between 4 and 5

I got the elevator issue where the elevator reach half of the floor and the low on oil occurs. It took 2 minutes for it to reach the highest floor

This one is pretty bad as far as it being low on oil. However there is nothing that would come close to the hydraulic freight elevator number 1 in the Santa Rosa Center. That will from what I have seen take the title of being the loudest elevator ever videoed. Although hopefully with that one at the Santa Rosa Center they finally fixed it. It would be cool to do a checkup on not only this elevator but the ones at the Santa Rosa Center and see how they are doing 3 years later.

The elevator either is leaking fluid at a rapid rate or the people who “fixed it” didn’t “fix” it
I wouldn't doubt that at all. Probably just a hose or a clamp. Dang, if that's the case I could fix this myself.
Some hose or seals are cracked since it sat for 8 years, I believe it's likely why it's mostly low on oil.
That elevator is poorly maintained for how long it’s been low on oil. The owners must not care that much about it. You should call Dover or someone and tell them about it.
