I have gotten messages about the new item frames Epic added to the game. Currently, the frames mostly hold weapons and tools. Item frames do not hold materials, unfortunately. Maybe in the next update that will get added!
They also added a wall mount build so you put an item on the mount and use that as like a label for your chest. That way you can have a visual to see where things are
@@Kaboom_2084With a little trick you can place every item on the frame. You need more than two in the inventory, split it into two separate piles (minimum one piece, but also more are possible). Then open the wallframe. Fit both piles of the item together and then the x which indicates, that a placement is not possible is gone and you can place the whole pile. After that take all except one back to the inventory and voila 😁
@@Kaboom_2084 Do that, I‘m on PlayStation and to make it work i forgot an additional step. After combining both piles i had to highlight with the controller another item and them back to the intended one.
Aww shucks, wish I'd found you a week ago. Started playing this as my kids do ( protector and mass farmer for them) and I built a huge apartment block with loads of storage, I tend to sort items by placing the chests near the respective machine that makes it and I wish I'd thought to stack them, this saves so much room. Now I need to spend the morning redoing them...thanks lol
Excellent video. I've been ruing the lack of labeling system for chests since the start! You've given me some great tips, that I will definitely be implementing! One that I like to do is consider a chest close to my crafting bench and store a lot of the 'basic' crafting items/overflow items such as feathers etc there. Same goes for the Essence Table, where I store a lot of Blast Core and Raw Ruby, for the Damage Essence, which I use on my swords, pick-axes and forest axes.
Great video! This is how I have my stuff organized; the only difference is I have multiple workstations and different tiers of resources next to each one.
Not the government conspiracy 😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is a really good organization video! I sort my chests by mats - ex: wood/knotroot/flexwood/frostpine each in their own row until the chest is full. I like this method way better so I’m definitely switching my system when I get on again!
@@Kaboom_2084don’t even need to, link by tool. If it’s wood place under an axe, stone and gems under a pickaxe using different rarities to differentiate.
I noticed you do not have storage for enchantment table. I have a setup for mine similar. I only use three of the enchantments so I make sure I have all the required materials handy I will need.
(can't watch the whole thing because I was summoned by my parents) Personally, a way I like to store stuff, is that in the center of it all, I have a couple chests for wood and granite because it's used for everything, then, with the lumbermill for example, I have sets of 2 chests, 1 for the wood type, and one for the rod variant, in case of the regular wood, one is rod, one is plank. Otherwise, I do everything the same here. I'm just too broke to execute it in my current world...
There already is sign bro hear me out you know the knew wall decore where you can hang an item on that decor put the decor up above the chest with the item thats in chest on the decor your welcome
The new frame does not allow you to put blast powder or materials etc in it. It only allows Gear and food items. Hopefully, they will add or update the item frame to allow everything to go into it. Thanks for watching.
Why not just a stack of three raw material chests on the left of the tool, and then ouput chest stack on the right for all. Your inconsistency enflames my autism lol
Thanks for the feedback. I love this system in my world and it saves me a lot of time finding things. Now putting things away does take a little longer but I think worth it. If you can expand on "lacking real play application" maybe I will understand better what you mean. Thanks!

This was a really good tutorial video, the set up area to show off the chest placements, the video edits, and the funny intro lol
Up to your neck in a sea full of chests sounds like a fun time
The best storage video I've seen! Great idea thanks kaboom!

Signs are in the game…use the new item frame and out that item in a frame above the chest with that item
Hopefully, they add to what goes in the frames.

I have input and output storages on each side of the machine.
This is so helpful!
Hey brother! You can use wall mounts to locate your chest
Thanks!
If you arent subscribed to Kaboom you really should be! They deserve it and are the best lego fortnite youtuber out there!

@@nourhouda4550 thanks!
I don't use floor elements to install chests, metal chests fall on top of each other, so it saves space
Have you had any issues with getting into them later?

Makes total sense
But how do I lock my chests so my grandkids can't steal my sandshells and ice claws?
LOL maybe in the future we will get a Rift Chest!
Me wondering how he reaches those chests

Because of the amount of resources I collect in the game. That would be a good set up but you might need an overflow chest.
Lol
Really like this, but really it's lacking real play application. But great effort nonetheless.
