Brooklyn Center Sears Site Rezoned To Allow Housing

The city of Brooklyn Center is changing development plans for the former Sears building site next to the Shingle Creek Crossing shopping center. The Brooklyn Center Sears closed in 2018. The property owners previously had the go-ahead to work on a light industrial development. But the city council rezoned the property this week to allow for mixed uses including townhomes or apartments.
