Segovia used a straight finger flattening the hand back for rest strokes so many players did that but John Williams was the first player that I know of who did not use that way but just brought his finger threw the string which you see Ana do which keeps the hand in same position for rest and free stroke. The bar chord placing second finger on top of first finger flattens the first finger more than it adds any pressure. The build of a persons body has a big influence on how they play the guitar, as with hand shape, Ana has long arms and as can be seen when she was young long finger joints. Interesting to see this video. There are many Female players who have impeccable technique more so then men
Bonjour. Très bonne analyse du jeu d Anna Vidovic.. Et effectivement elle emploie l annulaire uniquement quand elle ne peut faire autrement (accord à 4 notes..etc). Mais elle évite vraiment.. Super channel. Merci
First i comment, then i watch) Great videos!! Please do keep it up, i find them really cool and helpful. Thank you! Btw. Maybe, just maybe, you could analyse technique of some no-nail player? Maybe Virginia Luque or Hector Garcia?
Also, it is possible to do Kazuhito Yamashita? Is there clear enough footage available? The only real resource I've found about his tremolo technique is just one video by Jorge Caballero which is great but... need more.
Great analysis of Ana's individual technique, and a help to aspiring guitarists. Thanks
Merci pour vos analyses dont je tire toujours quelques enseignements. 👏

Thanks for this in depth analysis.
Btw: when playing Le Catedral it looks like Ana is using the annular of her plucking hand.
Thank you so much for these interesting and insightful technique analysis videos. May I suggest you do one on Manuel Barrueco?

make that t-shirt! The diagrams from Sor are well into the public domain.

@luserdroog I don’t think there’s a lot of videos, but probably enough to talk about even from one performance of him
Regarding the gap between i and m ; maybe she has just the tips of the fingers touching to achieve the same single mechanism effect.
Do Tatyana Rezhkova next!
