And this song fits it so perfectly. I listened to it while reading the fanfiction and it was like the ultimate combination of horror and thrill. Love it.

I say this couldve used more various sound fx. I kept getting lost in the enchantingly sinister symphony, but the limited flesh slicing sfx kinda kept throwing me off but not so much to make me say anything more negative about it than i already have. It's a lot like the music in the Batman:The Animated Series episode, Heart of Ice; the music being a wonderful enchantment to listen to and even more so being set to a grim and macabre theme. I just love this.

What canon materials does Sweet Apple Massacre have to go on that could support the idea that Big Macintosh really could be an insane loony? That's why Cupcakes has such notoriety: The nuttiness is canon. Maybe not the whole killing thing but people like to make those associations.
Honestly, the fanmade sequel with Pinkie Pie singing a morbid rewriting of "art of the dress" was much scarier than the original. The ending was much better as well /controversial opinion.

If you think Cupcakes was creepy, wait until you read "Pattycakes". Think of Cupcakes-like fic but with Fluttershy, just not gore of violence, but instead lots of mindmessing moments so well described that it keeps in character for Fluttershy. And the sequel is even worser in the sense that it always put you in a "No matter what ending I make, someone is screwed." If you're a little afraid, "Pattycakes" just screws your mind. "Pattycakes 2" is like a mix of Saw (without any blood) and Portal.
@PokemonGirlDawn Not really, in fact, I'm kind of was inspired by the idea of Cupcakes, so I read the actual story...and some of the alternative endings (wait...a *clone*? really? @MsKurokitsune It may be sick and demented but I refuse to deny that it is an amazing arrangement. It really gets the point across. I'm into macabre things but even if I wasn't I would still appreciate this song. So simple and yet so powerful. Gives me chills every time I listen to it.
You know the image that was showing most of the time here? I hate that image. The cutie mark coat just looks stupid. She's got a bunch of small round leathery patches to make her coat, there's no way she's going to end up with anything remotely like that picture.
